Emerald Lake Walleye Fishing
Here I will teach the effective way to fish for Walleye at New York’s Emerald Lake.
First, You have to have the right gear set up to effectively maximize your time here at this lake. The gear you are looking for is should have a pound limit of 7.5lb
My current Set up is as follows.
ROD
ValueSpin 8′ 6″
Lure Weight: 1/4-3/4 oz, This is specific because of the lure I use is 3/4oz
Line Weight 3-7.5 lb.
REEL
Calisto MG 2500
Capacity: mono 8/100 braid
Max Drag: 7.7 lb
LINE
Braid .0055″
7.5 lb test
There are two lures to use;
Narrow Spoon 1/4 oz #1/0 hook (About 1 1/4″ long)
This lure sinks slow and is hampered by its smaller hook
My Lure of Choice
Narrow Spoon 3/4 oz #3/0 (about 1 1/2″ Long with wider curve)
This sinks faster and is able to catch the heavier Walleye.
