Overview
This guide will be about Altar of Viilor on the MANIC difficulty.
Before entering the raid.
Not so fast. Before we head out to beat Viilor a thousand times,It is important to make sure that your stats are good enough to face this silly void bear.
HP & Defense :
You cant get the loot if you are dead.(only if Villor dies on top of your body but thats not important right now.)
Having around 50.000 HP should be enough. If you love to live on the edge you can even enter
with only 40.000 HP.
Defense :
As for defense 15.000 is enough to survive the initial enemy wave.
HP and Defense is probably the least important stat in this raid.(You will see why.)
Accuracy , Crit % & Crit DMG :
Accuracy! This one is really important.Viilor doesnt look like it but he is very evasive.
You need to have high accuracy to hit him otherwise your attacks will miss him.
1.500 accuracy will make sure your attacks smack him across the face.
Crit % and Crit DMG!
25%-30% crit chance is decent.
16.000 Crit Damage will start to sting to Viilor but you want to have as much crit damage as possible, the sooner Viilor dies the less chance you and your party will have to die.
Armor Break :
Viilor will have a phase where he will pull up some armor every now and then.
Soo you want to break that.
Its not the most dangerous thing he does so
just make sure you have atleast a decent amount of armor break
Stamina :
I mean its nice to be able to dodge out of harm’s way.
But once you run out of it you are a sitting duck until you regain some.
So have as much stamina as you can have..for your own good.
———————————————————————————————————————————-
If you are playing with others chances are you will be playing with a team of
hardened veterans,so they will carry you through the raid.
An example for a carry:
Gear:
I know i know.”But what gear am i supposed to wear?” And dont worry we will tell you.
Having a full set of Primal gear is a good option.Primal Weapon +7,armor like +6 easy peasy.
If you think that farming Primal gear is a headache and you want to skip it.Sure.You can go for hard aov gear instead.Just make sure your Aurith gear is good enough to beat a hard Villor.
Friends and guildmates can also carry you through the raid.Just dont die and waste their efforts.
However,Random players might not accept you into their parties if your stats are not good.
Because they are aiming to finish as soon as possible. They dont want even a minute to go to waste.
Allright moving on.
——————————————————————————————————————————–
Akasha Cards :
First things first.Active Akasha cards cannot be used in this raid.
You want to only have passive Akashas.
Any Akasha that can help you stay alive, deal more dmg,
best akashas in aov would be meggy, skitter, gauntilius 1* or 2*hidden, sfl squad, sentron commander,Shade and other damage % akashas.
——————————————————————————————————————————–
Consumables :
You want to pack something to eat just in case.
Some healthy Peta medicubes,Full soulforce Fizz dont forget them.
Its also nice and helpful to have Breaker’s Ampoule,as it will onehit break Viilor’s armor.
Inside Altar of Viilor.
This is it..the moment you were waiting for…w-what?Where is Viilor?
Well you actually have to wait a little bit more to meet him, first he will test you if you are a worthy
opponent or not.
Start the battle with his minions by interacting with the giant crystal like thingie in the middle.
This phase is literally just a bunch of enemies spawning until Viilor gets bored and wants to
join the fun as well.
The enemies in this phase always spawn in the same spot. This allows the players to set up attacks
that can instantly wipe off enemies that just spawned.(You have to experience the spawn patterns
yourself,it can be helpful once you are trying to finish the raid super quickly.)
Dont be fooled! These might be minions, but they can still burst your hp down if you are not careful.
They start off by spawning in small numbers but these numbers quickly go up.
There are like 2 bigger waves of them in this survival part. You should help your teammates deal
with the bigger monsters, the small ones are literally just there to die, they are not dangerous at all.
The bigger enemies that spawn like to charge in a direction,If you get caught by two of these charge attacks you can easily lose 30.000 hp if not more. They can also knock you up or stun you leaving you open for additional dmg.(And remember there are like 10 of them in each big wave.)So be light on your feet,Dodge often to avoid deaths before the real fight begins.(that would be emberassing tbh.)Moving on.
Viilor Phase 1
So after the minions have been defeated,Viilor will finally show himself and face the party!
Just like Primal,Viilor has 101x bars of hp.
Viilor will begin the fight with throwing up…this move covers the whole arena in Viilor’s lunch.
Its so disgusting that everyone will get a debuff from it.
This debuff will reduce your movement speed for a good amount of time by -40%.
Lets learn the attacks of Viilor before we move on any further.
Viilor can slash infront of him,his claw attack apply a debuff that reduces your
attack speed AND your movement speed by -15%…And this can stack up to five times.
This debuff also stays with you for a looong time so try not to get hit by it.
Viilor can smash the ground with one hand,it deals damage in a small AoE around the impact.
It also applies a debuff to those who got hit by it.The debuff reduces your crit chance by -20%(yikes)
and your defense by -3000…AND IT CAN STACK UP TO FIVE TIMES AS WELL!This debuff also lasts for a very long time once its applied to you…
These are his basic attacks in phase 1..any questions?
“What am i supposed to do when these debuffs are on me???They last for 10 years!”
Glad you asked. There is actually a redemy for those annoying debuffs.
If you look around there will be this random void fish sitting at the edge of the arena.
This fish is literally here to assist you in beating Viilor..as you can see it has a small circle around it,
move inside that small circle and hit the fish. The fish will reward your abuse by removing those long lasting debuffs from you.One more thing,if you hit the fish too much he will leave.
Viilor also bites as the dog he is.This attack will just hurt as all hell.He will chomp three times.
and it can easily send you on Death’s door if he manages to get you all three times.(If you survive it that is.)
Viilor occasionally will use a really strong attack. You will always know when he is about to do it because:
First Viilor will jump into the air and land in the middle.
Seconds Viilor will unleash a devastating attack that has a huge AoE.The attack hits like 6 times each hit dealing 15% of your max hp,thats 90% of your hp gone, this attack stuns you as well.
Powerful huh?Well it does have a major flaw tho..and its the edge of the arena you are fighting in.
The attack doesnt reach the edge, whenever Viilor leaps into the air just run for your life..hug the edge until he is done yelling.
Once Viilor reaches 70x hp,he will enter his phase 2.(Viilor always jumps up and lands in the middle when one of his phases end.)
Oh right..talking about “always jumping”..Someone should always stay close to Viilor..
Because he is really lonely..if there is no one playing with him..he will enrage and attempt an instant kill move,Yes its an attempt as you can dodge it but one mistake and you are dead.
Viilor will leap into the air and drop on the person he fixes his eyes on..Viilor will do this jump attack three times before stopping. You can easily tell when this attack is coming because Viilor lights up like a christmas tree.If the target is you,RUN(or dodge when he is about to land on you) you can outrun the attack if you are just sprinting away from Viilor..If you are not the target..you can still die because the person Viilor is trying to kill runs past you.Its best to prevent Viilor from even doing this attack..so stay close and whack him.
Viilor Phase 2
Viilor is at 70x hp.
A few things change in phase 2,first off Viilor no longer gives those long debuff.(the fish also dissapears in phase 2 so if you still have a debuff that you need to purge,do it before phase 2
and you will be stuck with the debuff for a loong time if you dont.)
Viilor instead of slashing once will do it twice as a combo attack. They no longer debuff the player
(they still hurt so dont go running into them.)
Viilor’s bite attack gets a slight change..whenever it hits you it will debuff you. This debuff reduces your attackspeed + your movement speed + your crit chance by -30%..howeeverr..it only lasts 15 seconds.
Now lets talk about the new things.
Viilor has a few new attacks,One of them is Viilor doing on Slash with his right hand.
This creates a small whirlwind that follows one person for a short while before disappearing.
If its following you,do everyone a favor and lead it away from others.
Viilor can just straight up slam the ground with one hand, this attack leaves a huge pool on the ground thats a pain in the butt because it deals damage when you stay inside it.(And Viilor also loves to chill inside it which is bad because characters with short range are forced to fight in the pool.)
Its basically the same ability that he used to inflict the debuff in phase 1,but this time instead of a debuff you are cursed with a pool.
Now lets talk about the most important thing that is introduced with phase 2.
Because it will stay until you beat Viilor so listen up.
Occasionally you will notice a small orb above your head, actually everyone will have one.
This is called the falling soul debuff, shortly after recieveing this one of the players present
in the instance will recieve the Fallen soul debuff. The Fallen soul debuff buffs your attack speed(???)
and each and every one of your attacks heal Viilor(oh..)and your attacks also buff his defense.(wonderful.)It is really important to keep your eyes open so you dont accidentally assist the boss.
But that doesnt mean you cant do anything, most ranged attacks(if you are far away from the boss)
wont heal or give the defense buff for Viilor. So you still have some options on what to do
when you are inflicted with this debuff.I belive if your weapon touches the boss during an attack,
it will heal and buff the boss. But its up to you to take risks or just wait for the buff to f off.
What is that?”But seriously how the hell am i supposed to see the debuff on myself when the
whole screen is covered in effects???”.
Dont you worry about a thing friend! There is a solution for that problem! And all you need to do is look at the debuffs you have.
Viilor’s devestating attack will also change,he does the jump and lands in the middle as usual.
Then he will release red orbs and spikes,The orbs fly upwards and they scatter on the playfield,
While the spikes are homing in on the closest player.
The red orbs:These things are a truck in disguise. One orb will tear down like 85% of your hp.(I honestly have no idea if it is 80% 90% or whatever but it doesnt matter anyways you will die from 2 of these orbs)
The orbs are bombs, they dont have contact dmg so you can touch them, but once they explode
you will regret not staying away from them.
The spikes:These little pieces of trash will seek out the player that is closest to them,
these things hurt a lot AND they stun you as well,While you are stunned an orb can easily fall on your head and boom..you are dead. The spikes dissapear after they traveled some distance,
If you hug the edge of the arena they will not hit you,You can also use an ultimate ability
to protect yourself from the spikes.(Be careful tho,the orbs pierce invincibility frames.)
There is one more thing that you need to keep an eye out for.
There will be these things called “yorhakhas rage”(Scary stuff.)They spawn when Viilor does one of his devestating moves.(You know those attacks where he jumps to the middle, they will also spawn in phase 3 during his charge attacks or when he heals.)These things are like timed bombs, after one spawns you have like 30 seconds to destroy it or it will blow up and hurt everyone(not Viilor)in the arena. It deals a lot of dmg,its not an instant kill but if you are missing even a little bit of hp it will most likely kill you when it explodes.
Oh its also really helpful to take a look at your minimap every now and then as you will see
these bombs pretty easily on that.
Once Viilor reaches 30x hp he will switch to his phase 3.
Viilor phase 3.
Allright,this is the last phase.
Again, some attacks change, some stay the same while there will also be new things.
So lets talk about what stays the same.
-Falling Soul debuff is still around.
-Bite attack is the same.
-bombs appearing
-Viilor still needs to be tanked.(dummy,of course he has to be tanked.)
And now lets talk about whats new.
Remember Viilor’s double claw attack? That move will have a third attack now,Viilor after clawing twice will slam the ground with both hands, and this attack has a big aoe.(thats all really,it hurst so make sure you evade his slam attack)
——————
Viilor will create permanent pools that deal dmg and debuff you..A LOT OF POOLS.
Sometimes you have to go a long way around to get near the boss again.
These pools will debuff your defense by -1000 for 10 seconds and it can stack up to five times!
Lets talk about the new “””devestating”””” attack.
Viilor will pull everyone in closer to himself, then he will start chasing someone while damaging
everyone around him.The nasty thing about this is he can flinch lock you until you die.
However if he does get you and you cant run away from him, just hit your Supernova that will buy you some time, you can also use the supernova skill to stay invurnerable even longer.(Just make sure you dont have Fallen Soul debuff when you do this.
——————————————————————-
Alternatively Viilor will pull up his super armor and begin regenerating rapidly.
He will literally stand still and let you hit him as hard as you can.
He will stop healing after a while if you cant break his super armor, but if you do manage to break the super armor it will stop right then and there leaving Viilor open for a few more seconds.
(If you have those Breakers you might as well use them to cut his healing extra short.)
———————————————————————-
And that would be it!Viilor is dead!Good job friend! Now you only need to do it about..a lot to actually benefit from this raid.So do your best to become a carry to help those in need.
