Colored wooden parts and how to recolor components

Overview

How to color or recolor components

Basics

First of all you have to open the console with ^ (german keyboard) !
and write gm 1 (gamemode 1)

You can change the texture of woodplanks, woodbeams, woodlogs, woodplanktriangles, windows1-4

Then you need the commands:

item woodplank number id
(1 = how many parts, id = texture id
In gamemode 1 – you only need 1 of each wooden part.

item woodplank 1 id x
item woodbeam 1 id x
item woodlog 1 id x
item woodplanktriangle 1 id x
item window1 1 id x
item window2 1 id x
item window3 1 id x
item window4 1 id x

For example:
A normal white window frame is “item window1 1 143”.

Texture Id’s how to find them

You can open the blockbench. Every category shows its id behind its name.

You can use F6. F6 shows the texture id, too.

How it works

For example:
stone color Id 23 =
item woodplank id 23

The other way is to hold a wooden part in hand and write “id 23”
so every wooden part is now in the desired color and ends only with changing the slot or the
building part.

That only works with wooden parts!

Recoloring blocks and builded parts

You have built something and after a while you don’t like the color anymore.
Then you can recolor your constructions.

Hold your cursor over the selected part.
Then type
“editc texture id”

That method works with all wooden parts and block. It don’t work with objects.

You can also recolore glass panes.

“editc color id 21” = normal glass
“editc color id 22” = wavy glass
“editc color id 23” = corrugated glass

But be aware that method can take a long time for many parts.

Other methods

You could use “pnb-plugin” as well.
This plugin allows you to color wooden parts, but not to recolor things.
You can found the download link in the official Rising World Forum.

Have fun with your new colorful Rising World.
