Overview
If you ever wondered how to use a controller for DDS then read on. *PLEASE NOTE* The Dev’s have confirmed that they will be working on controller support but until then you can use this guide and it is done all through STEAM
The process
This guide is for people who do not know how to remap their controller through steam
I have seen heaps of people asking about controller support. No there isn’t HOWEVER steam does map your controller to the keyboard.
so if you have a controller plugged in,
open steam then go to steam>settings>

controller>general controller settings.

This is what will show once you click General controller settings

Once in game shift+tab you should see an icon that says controller configuration this will allow you to REMAP your controller to the keyboard (steam does a good job for it normally but for this game it is a different configuration)

You will then be greeted with this image and you can remap your controller
I have tested this and currently am using an xbox 360 controller for it 🙂 enjoy
