How to Obtain Permanent Bound Armor/Weapons for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

How to Obtain Permanent Bound Armor/Weapons

Overview

With this 1 simple trick, the Hero of Kvatch got some new bling for his body! Powerlevellers hate him! Find out how today!… Or tomorrow.. I’m in no rush.

An Introduction

Hey there! Thanks for clicking on this guide. As a reward, You get to show us how to perform this glitch!
Yes, I said You.
You look beautiful.

Old and Gold – The Saxtoni Method

Below is how I did the trick back in Ye Olde Times.

Bound Weapons

And now: Summoning a weapon out of almost thin air!

1. Summon Bound weapon (In this case, i’ll use a sword.)

2. Kill a reasonably-levelled enemy with it.

3. Grab a repair hammer, and repair the weapon.

4. Drop it.

5. Wait 1 in-game hour.

6. The Bound weapon of choice should appear directly where you dropped it. You’re now free to pick it up.

This thing is a beast. It could probably give Mehrunes Dagon a haircut.
For the sake of demonstration, I set my skills to 100 blade and 100 strength.

Bound Armor

Next up, the brother of the bound weapons; Bound Armor!

1. Summon armor of your choice (It doesn’t matter what it is, but i’ll summon a Cuirass.)

2. Get hit for a bit by an enemy (You can spam-check your armor duration after every hit if you wish. You can repair even if it’s at 99.)

3. Kill said enemy, and repair your armor.

4. Drop it, and wait 1 in-game hour.

5. You are now free to pick it up, although the armor is sometimes kinda weak.

That’s It

Thanks for looking at this guide and educating yourself on how to make Houdini’s long-lost spirit jealous.

You might be wondering: “Hey, Saxtoni, didn’t someone already do this guide before?”, and to that, I say yes, but it’s in russian, and requires about 20 decillion more years of preparation to do. I just found a more simplified method of doing it.

Anyways, thanks for looking at this guide! I hope you enjoy your new-found ability to make new weapons and armor out of thin air!
Please use it wisely. And don’t feed the sword at 4:13 AM. You’ll regret it.

Add Addendum: 2020

Hey, it’s 2020 Saxtoni here! I’m honestly surprised people still look at these oblivion guides nowadays.
You might have seen this guide before 2020, and might be wondering why some things look different. That’s because I redid how I talked in this guide, so that i’m not swearing constantly. Some of it is just.. plain cringe, if i’m gonna be honest. I’ve toned it down quite a bit in the past.. 20 years, or so.

I’d still like to thank you for reading this!

And yes, I know Shadowrend does more damage than either Umbra or Bound Weapon. Bound Weapon is easier to get early game, however. And, Umbra is kind of a pain to solo at low level.
