Overview
Max is a boy with ASD, much like many achievement hunters (including myself)! Here you will learn how to get 100% achievements on “Max, an Autistic Journey”! The achievements are listed in order of when you can get the achievements.
Picto #1-21
These achievements are unmissable. You will get them as you play the game.
Vaccinated!
In Max’s room, when you first wake up, there is a laptop in the top-right corner of the room. Click the laptop to play the “VACCINATION!” mini-game and beat it. It’s a simple bullet hell game.
The controls are as follows:
Arrow keys to move
Hold shift to charge your bomb
Spacebar/Enter to shoot your gun
Tips & Info:
- The most trouble I had was with the movement smoothing, which actually makes it quite difficult.
- Pick up all the power-ups you can.
- If you’re in a tight position, charge your bomb. It 1-hit kills every enemy when fully-charged, except the boss.
- It’s 3 phases + a boss fight.
- Right before the boss fight, there will be a bunch of ships swarming at you. Use your bomb to kill them or else they will bring your health almost all the way down.
Fruit Collector!
There are five levels with five fruits each, a total of 25: going to school and coming home from school (pictos #5 & #14; these are both timed), the Daisy Maze (picto #9), the Race Track (picto #16), and the Blocks World (picto #18).
There will be a counter on the left-hand side counting how many fruits you collected. You will be notified after collecting all of the fruits, but the achievement only unlocks after beating the game.

Maestro!
On picto #8, go up to the psaltery and save before touching anything. Now, play the notes listed on the right-hand side. The notes are solmizated and labelled under each string. There is no rhythm, so I believe you can take as long as you’d like. There are three songs in a row you must do this for.
(e.g. click notes do, do, do, re, mi, re, do, mi, re, re, do for this one)
Public Speaker!
On picto #12, you will have to practice your presentation on emperor penguins. To do this, you must talk to a bunch of penguins who will give you different facts and they will ask if you’d like to use them in your presentation or not. You can only pick 5 facts, which are judged on their truthfulness.
I picked the following facts to get this:
- The emperor penguin is the tallest and heaviest of all penguins.
- The emperor penguin can dive for up to 18 minutes at 535 meters.
- When the mother lays an egg, she gives it to the daddy who will keep it warm on its feet for more than two months!
- The emperor penguin can live up to 50 years!
- The main predators of the emperor penguins are the leopard seal and the killer whale. Various birds also prey on the emperor penguin chicks.
Golden Dreams!
You have to get $200k. To see your money, open your inventory and look at the bottom-left corner. I think you will get this achievement just for beating the game, but I’m not entirely sure. I beat the game with hardly any fighting besides mandatory fighting and came out with $219,920. This achievement unlocks after beating the game, mind you, so if you got $200k before the game ending, then you must finish it.
