Overview
This is a guide to get all 13 achievements in the game. I try to be as informative as possible. Hope this helps you!
Intro
So, if you’re patient, this game is actually quite easy to 100% achievements-wise. It will take several playthroughs, however, but I’ll try to make it so that you can get all achievements in as few playthroughs as possible, for those of you speed demons out there. Anyways, yeah, I hope this guide helps you in some way~
“This House is Clear”
This is a non-missable achievement you get after completing the game. Personally, I STRONGLY suggest you guys do your own authentic playthrough and get this achievement as you finish it. I feel like this game is meant to be enjoyed that way, if this is your first time playing. Just, before you do anything else, immerse yourself in it, choose whatever choice you wanna make as you go along, and worry about achievements later. Who knows, at the end of the game there’s a possibility you’ll be getting some of the choice-related achievements yourself. Because the rest of this guide is going to be spoilerific and is mostly meant for those of you who have played through the game at least once.
That’s just my suggestion, though, is for you to make your first playthrough your own and store your achievement concerns in the shelf for a while. But hey, if you’d rather just rush in, I’m not gonna judge. It’ll still take you more than one playthrough to 100% it, but yeah, read on.
It’s A Me
This one you can get at any time–in your first playthrough even, if you’d like–and it’s pretty simple. Once you reach Towhee Woods, there’s a wide gap that maybe at first you don’t think you can jump over, but once you do, you get this achievement. Here’s a screenshot showing the particular gap.
Choice-Related Achivements
Matchmaker
You get this achievement by getting Ren and Nona to date in the end. I got this on my first playthrough, actually. The way I did it was I just never interfered, and remained supportive to each of them but never to the point of being pushy or nosy. Also, when given the choice on who to go to to Main Street, I chose Nona, and they still ended up together. I feel like if you go about it the way I described, you’ll get this outcome. It’s actually not that tricky. Just stay nice to both of them and don’t try to FORCE it. That’s what I did and it worked for me.
New Beginnings
Acknowledge Jonas as your step-brother and just be nice to him, really. Talk often and actually care about him as a person and you’re good to go. Got this on my first playthrough as well. You don’t need to be with him the ENTIRE night, but just bond with him whenever you get the chance. Also, I’m not sure if this helps, but at the beginning of the game when Jonas asks if he could get a moment alone with you, just accept it to be safe. I can’t recall if it matters or not, but if it means more bonding time, why not.
Thicker than Water
This one I didn’t even think of as a possibility, but hey, it’s there. You can bring Michael back to life, and to do so, you have to tell him to go to school in town. By doing so, he never leaves, and therefore never drowned. When you get to the point in the end, where Alex and Michael are at their house, whether or not he’s still together with Clarissa, just tell him to stay. Careful, though, this achievement is not compatible with New Beginnings, cause obviously with Michael alive again, Jonas will not be your step-brother anymore.
I’m the Firestarter
Be a d*ck to everyone. Seriously, make Alex the meanest, most horrible person ever. Whenever you see a dialogue option that makes you think “that’s rude” or “oh my god, I would never say that!”, DO IT. Also, when the ghosts ask for Clarissa, willingly let them take her, and then tell everyone about it. And THEN, show absolutely no remorse about literally giving Clarissa’s life away to the ghosts. xD Keep insisting on leaving without Clarissa. This will make everyone hate your guts. Personally I had a lot of fun doing this run. It was hilarious making Alex a total b*tch like that. Side note: It might be best to not give Clarissa to the ghosts for this. I think when I was trying to do this achievement, I DID give her over and I still got it. But, just to be safe, don’t let the ghosts take her.
Renjamin Spanklin
This can be done in tandem with the Firestarter achievement. During Truth or Slap at the beach, when Clarissa asks Ren if he’s into Nona and he denies it, quickly call out his lie, and then reveal that Ren told you he likes her. This will allow you to slap Ren and will also give him a negative opinion of you as far as I can tell, so y’know. Two birds, one stone, that whole thing.
You’d just end up hating each other.
I’m pretty sure this can also coincide with Firestarter. Just do the opposite of what I said in the Matchmaker achievement. Keep butting in and telling them they shouldn’t get together. Being an a**hole to them probably helps.
The Strong, Silent Type
I saved this one for last, personally. Basically you have to do a playthrough where you do not say anything. And I mean ANYTHING. (Note that interacting with objects and having Alex talk automatically does not count, since you’re required to do it to advance the story.) DO NOT pick any dialogue options whatsoever. Stay completely silent and let the game run its course. Also as far as I can tell, you can get the Thicker than Water achievement easily with this one, cause if you stay silent, Michael just automatically assumes you want him to stay, so he does. And another important thing to note is–thanks to KaraThrace for reminding me of this–the very last dialogue options of the game, during the outro group picture where Alex talks about all the outcomes, do not fade out, so you have to pick one of them to end the game. You’ll still get the achievement if you’re sure you didn’t pick ANY other option up until that point.

Ghost Stories
Find all hidden frequencies.
Okay, so for these, if you’re the type that would rather look for them yourself, the “hidden frequencies”, or “anomalies” as they’re called in the game, you get from cairns, which are these small stacks of rocks that you can find that sort of look like mushrooms from far away a little bit. I’ll show you a screenshot of one for reference’s sake.
Quite a few of them stick out like a sore thumb in the area, like the one above for example, so if you see one, just pop your radio out, tune into whichever frequency it is, and voila. Most of them are pretty easy to find, except for one that I had trouble spotting cause it’s BARELY visible (the one in the Relay Point). Also note that some of them are hidden in the buildings that you can open with the WAL (Wave Assisted Lock) radios, so if you see those doors before you get the new radios, make sure you remember the spot and come back later.
As for Maggie’s letters, they’re little sparklies you can find on the ground as you explore. These letters could also open up a few new choices for you in the end, by the way, which I thought was interesting.
Anyways, now you know what to look for, if you’d rather find them on your own. Happy hunting! But, if you get stuck or would just rather use a guide for them in general, then I suggest you refer to this video guide, courtesy of Maka91Productions. I have to give credit and kudos to him cause his video really helped me out when I hit a rough spot during my search. And it even has time stamps!

Thanks for reading this guide! I hope it helped you in some way, if you’re an achievement addict like I am. I really loved this game and had loads of fun playing it and even making this guide.
Anyways, I have to go. I got this new game, it’s called…Oxenfree I think, and I should probably play it. Looks cool.
