Overview
This is a guide for all Pirate Captains who want to achieve 100% of the game. I hope it will help you. A few achievements are self explaining, some are not.
Grog ‘n’ women!
“Visit a tavern”
Very easy achievement. You should have a tavern on your starting island so just have a drink and sing.
RAISE THE MAST ME HARTIES!!!
“Set sail for the first time”
This will be for sure your first achievement. You don’t even need to have a ship with a sail. Just choose a destination on the map and click on “sail to destination”.
MR. SEAGULL, WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE!?
“Have a seagull poop on your ship”
His name must be Steven. Just let it happen, you can’t avoid it. You should get this achievement very early in the game.
POOPdeck…
“Have at least 5 poop on your ship”
Well, you will get this achievement sooner as you like too. At the beginning you will have no diapers and no “Toilet Study” and “Cleaner” skill, so you will have five poop in no time. Take a deep breath!
Noob
“Die for the first time”
Just attack an encounter ship which is way beyond your strength and you will have no other chance as to get this achievement.
Land Lubber
“Visit an island with no town”
“No town” islands are easy to see on the map, just set sail and get the achievement.
BOOTY!
“Find a treasure chest and open it”
You will find chests on islands protected by pirates or natives, on encounter ships or buried (you will need a treasure map for it). When you open the chest, the achievement is yours.
YARRRRRRRR
“Plunder an enemy ship”
In this case it is meant to attack an encounter ship, kill all pirates and get to your own ship. Then blow it up! Gold, ship tiles and achievement are yours.
Grand Theft Marine
“Capture an enemy ship”
For this achievement you just have to kill the pirates on it and too claim the enemy ship. Stuff from your ship (food, barrels, cannons) will be taken over.
Lives up to his name!
“Horke the Flatulent poops”
Start a new game with Horke the flatulent, your father. It should not take long until… well you get the achievement.
Bounty!
“Accept a bounty quest”
You will find a town with a bounty board. You will be asked to find a bounty (of course you have to kill him) and come back to proof his death. Just accept the mission to get the achievement, it would be difficult at the beginning of the game to kill one.
Socially inadequate
“Kill a hobo”
While you visit islands sooner or later you will find Hobos. They are passive, but you have to kill one to get the achievement. Live with it.
Kung Fu Fighting
“Visit a panda island”
Just visit different islands. The time will come and you will find an island full of pandas and get the achievement.
KABOOOM!
“One of your pirates dies while using Kaboom”
Once you find a “Kaboom”, get a cheap pirate in a tavern and let him enter an encounter ship alone. He will fight and if his HP reaches zero, he will commit suicide and blow up.
Gotta catch em all..
“Capture an animal to be your pet”
Find an animal cage in store or as loot.
Equip it as a ranged weapon on your captain and click on an animal as you would attack it. Your captain will throw the cage, but it can take several times until you are successful. You will hear a sound if you succeed.
Don’t get to close to the animals or your captain will attack it with his melee weapon and kill it instead of catching..
GOTTA CATCH EM ALL!
“Capture 50 animals”
The same as mentioned at “Gotta catch em all..” Just take your time and do it with 50 different animals.
Mutiny!
“Have a pirate turn hostile due to low morale”
A pirates moral which drowns dramatically will turn from green to yellow to red and turning into a hostile. There is no other chance as to kill him.
Moral will drop if the ship is a mess of poop and corpses or you haven’t visit a tavern or gave them rum. So just stay on your ship and wait, until someone mutinies.
Jolly Roger That
“Add a pirate flag to your ship”
You can purchase a pirate flag in the towns if you found one which sells it. You can modify it as you want and make your own design.
Not very well implemented yet, but it will be changed in future, so it looks a bit odd. Place it on your ship to get the achievement.
Who be makin this game?
“Check out the Main Menu credits”
Well.. just do it. It could be, that you have to exit the game and start the game again to get this achievement.
Meta!
“Have both Vitali Kirpu and Alexander Poysky on your ship”
Vitali Kirpu and Alexander Poysky are the main heads of Pixel Piracy. Both on your ship? This must be awesome! Easy to achieve since you only have to rename two pirate names. Bazinga!
The Diaper Brotherhood
“Have 5 of your crewmates wear diapers at the same time”
This could take its time to find five diapers. Check your inventory after looting chests and ships. Just use them at five pirates at the same time as passive item and you will get this nice achievement!
I’m a mighty pirate!
“Have 10 or more pirates on your crew”
A mighty captain has many crew members. In this case you need nine additional to get this achievement. You can force it with hiring nine from the tavern, but get sure you have enough rum and food to satisfy them, or you will get the mutiny achievement for free too.
Treasure hunter
“Dig up 10 buried treasure chests”
On your way to kill all legendary pirates you will find a lot of treasure maps which will show you where to find buried treasure chest. You need a shovel and equip it to your captain and dig at the marked place.
Robinson Hobo’d
“Find a stranded hobo”
When you visit islands sooner or later you will find a very small one. Mostly with just a palm, sometime with a chest and a stranded Hobo. You will instantly get this achievement.
I see dead pixels
“Kill a total of 1000 enemies”
Just play this game and you will get this achievement. The good thing is you do not have to kill them all in one game. If you start another game it will count until you reach the 1000 kill mark. By the way: Killing animals count as well!
GOLDEN
“Loot a total of 10000 gold”
One of the harder long term achievements. Important to know is that every gold which will be dropped from chests, urns or killed pirates will count as loot. Sold items and gold from blown up ships will not count as loot. So this will take its time. Don’t worry, you do not have to loot this in a single game. Just play on and on and you will get it.
LEGEN – Wait for it….
“Pick a fight with a legendary pirate”
This will take a while until you reach one of the four legendary encounter ships. They are in every corner of the maps and are guided by a lot of Level 7 – 9 encounter ships. You will have a good leveled and well equipped crew until you will get there.
Once reached they will enter your ship and you will get it.
Nice “How I met your mother” quote by the way.

“Defeat a legendary pirate”
You just need to kill one of the pirates on the ship to get this achievement. Shouldn’t be difficult, once you reached one of the legendary encounter ships.
Beat the game… for now?
“Defeat all the Legendary pirate ships”
Just find every of the four encounter ships and destroy them all to finish the game and get this achievement. Thank you for playing.
MERRY CHRISTMAS 2014! (No more achievable)
“Have your captain wear the seasonal item set”
Unfortunately Christmas 2014 achievement is like it says, you had to find the seasonal item set and wear it, but you can’t get it anymore because it’s called Christmas 2014.
Achievement removed.
Mr. Croft I presume?
“Unearth an epic buried treasure”
This is for sure the hardest achievement and only to get by luck.
Every time your captain uses his shovel there is a chance to find a treasure chest. This chance is 2% * treasure hunt skill to find a treasure chest. For every chest you find there is a 2% chance to be epic. So the chance to get epic treasure is like 0.04%, which is pretty darn low.
Every time you dig and find a chest (randomly or by maps) the chance to find an epic treasure chest will raise cumulative (0,5% to 1%) now. The chance to find a buried chest will be higher if The Captain have learned the Treasure Chest Skill (0,1% per level). So you should get the achievement between unburying 50 – 200 treasure chests. This must be in a single game!
Just dig on every island you are and hopefully you will be lucky, once.
