Complete walkthrough of the game including all achievements
Info
In the shadow of the truth is a short first person horror game. in this guide we will only walk you through achievements, not to the end of the game.
Gameplay info
- Game Starts in Turkish, click on the middle button that say “AYARLAR” and Choose “Inglizice”,
- Shift toggles between run and walk, no need to hold it. always keep running.
- If a battery is not there, keep running around the map and waiting for it to spawn.
- Aiming at objects to pick them is very precise and a bit annoying
- We will mention a way to “glitch” the enemy into the swings. Try to reproduce this as it makes the game much easier.
Achievement info
- Achievements get reset when you start a new game! So beware.
- For the battery achievement you must collect them in a single life. The achievement unlocks when you grab the 6th battery, but it may unlock at the 5th.
- Look for possible battery locations at the bottom of the guide.
- You do not have to find all Secrets in a single life. After interacting with a secret it’s no longer needed to be collected again after dying.
- Click on the Secrets (words) for them to be collected

Walkthrough
After the cutscene has ended, walk to light switch on the left and turn it on.
Look at the clock above the couch.
Circumspect Player
Look at note to the right of the laptop.
Pick up Apartment key next to it.
Open computer, type in “4948958527” (You can copy paste it); get spooked
Pick up bottle from behind laptop.
Walk around a bit until you can go through door.
Turn off lightswitch in hallway upstairs
Go down the stairs, go through first door on your left
Turn on lightswitch.
Click on the second door to the left and it will close.
You’ll hear a woman scream, click it again.
Searcher
Pick up Dish Sponge and Rust Remover.
Exit room. Turn off lightswitch in front of you and go to the left; all lights should be green. Go through door.
Pick up Flashlight behind you and Out door key next to it.
Walk to the left side of the book shelves to the end, look at the left bookshelf.
One of the books is turned around. Click on it for a jumpscare.
Turn around and interact with a red glowing book, click it. Press ESC to back out.
Go back through the door and go through the door on your right; to outside.
Go to the right, on the first bench to the left of the street can be a battery (see section “Battery locations” for pictures, they spawn at random).
Go to the other side of the street, continue forward till you see a yellow sign with
boxes under it for a possibility of another battery.
Walk forward and you will see a cart. Pick up iron cutter and speaker from behind it.
Go back towards the door you came out of, go to the right end (behind sandbags) to cut off rebar. You do so by spam clicking till the bar fills.
Go back to cart, turn right, pick up Jerry Can
Continue forward, a cutscene will happen.
You will now encounter the enemy that will chase you, if he gets close you will hear the music louder. If he kills you you need to collect 5 batteries in 1 life again! Be mindful of this.
Try to lead the enemy in such a way so he will run into this swing, this way he will get stuck and you’ll be able to safely explore the map. This is highly recommended.
The swing is located behind where you start after cutscene ends.
Look at the side of slide at the playground for SECRET 1 and click on it.
As you go outside the playground turn left.
You should see SECRET 2 there on the wall near the yellow building. Click on it.
Near the end of this “alley” can be another battery.
Go forward of where you were when cutscene ended; towards alley.
Near the opening of the alley is a possible battery..
Enter into the alley; go to the left, at the end can be a battery.
There is also SECRET 3 on this side:
SECRET 4 is when you exit from SECRET 4, go to the left into the middle of the alley where the boxes fall down when you come near.
Exit from SECRET 4 to the left. Follow until the end of the alley to an open street. Go to the white billboard for SECRET 5
Enter the graveyard, walk to the left, and pick up hose
Turn around and keep going forward to find SCERET 6 on a grave.
Turn around from SECRET 6 and exit the graveyard to the new street.
Turn right, go to yellow machine thing, use it. Take fuel by spam clicking
Turn around and walk forward past the sewers and interact with the window to grab the key.
Enter the door next to the window to enter the office. Walk forward, then turn right and pick up the Desk Key.
Interact with the lockers and read through the files. back out.
Exit office and go outside.
After that head to the middle to the yellow pump, add fuel in and click on panel other side to turn it on
Go back to graveyard, in little building house is a possibility of another battery spawning.
Go back out of graveyard (other side,where SECRET 5 is) on the left side on the boxes can be another battery.
Panoplied
Go back to the graveyard and all the way to the Sewer you saw before. Enter it.
Interact with the knobs in the panel in the following order:
Click leftmost knob, 3rd knob, 2nd knob, first knob, rightmost knob, middle knob, 2nd knob, first knob, middle knob,
Should end up like this:
Go through door on the right, by pushing it.
Quickly go forward to the next door, all the way forward, then left
All the way forward until you can go through door right at the end, turn right all the way forward to ladder.
Outside, look at the billboard forward, on the left side.

Battery locations
These are possible locations for a battery to spawn. They are random and may take a while to spawn.
Just as you go outside, on the bench on the left.
A bit forward down the street from the bench, below the yellow sign.
In the small alley where you find secret number 2.
On the blue box, on the way to the alley
On the trash bin where you find secret 3.
Outside the alleyway.
When you exit the alleyway head right.
Inside the small booth in the graveyard.
