Overview
Have you just started playing and thinking that everybody else seems to have a better deck than you? wondering if the game is P2W? Well not for long. I have created a budget deck for every faction with the aim of making it as close to a top meta deck as possible. I will give each deck ratings on its current strength and try to keep this up to date.I will also post which runes could turn this from a budget deck into a top meta deck. Each deck will contain a maximum of 1 exotic (usually a hero) and no legendaries. (They will include a warbanner as you can obtain a banner for free when you buy an Avatar for 5k gold)So far IS, FS, SP, SL and UD completed.
Ironfist Stronghold 4/5
This deck is very fun to play and should be pretty competitive also, It is definitely one that can be improved with a few more exotics too. I see no reason why you wouldn’t be able to compete in the top 100 or even top 50 with this deck if you play well.

There is a number of ways to improve this deck
*** 5/5 Dwarven Hooligan (Get two of these in for the sharpshooters ASAP) ***
1 or 2 Brewmaster
2 Dwarven King
1 or 2 Fist of Bastion (fits better into a barb deck or beast deck with Houndmaster)
1 or 2 Groble Rock Eater (efficient in a mixed dwarf/construct deck)
1 Ironfist Doombringer (Good ranged warcry option but very expensive)
1 Ironfist Minister (Still solid, but not as strong as he used to be.
1 or 2 Veilwalker
1x Refute (good option to counter moves your opponent makes)
Playstyle:
This deck has a very good balance between melee and range, you can play in a variety of different ways with this deck as a result. You can rush your opponents fonts if you get the early Hawkmaster or Axeman, or you can build up a ranged poke dominance, you have plenty of counters to pretty much everything your opponent throws at you, you have healing and you have a lot of powerturn potential with Warcry, swarm and an awesome spellset. This is one of the reasons Ironfist is my favourite faction and why i’ve been running decks like this myself when I play. Another major benefit to this deck is that all of your champions are very cost efficient on Nora.
Don’t gain control too often on the Gliders unless it gets you a kill, they are very efficient with massive range so only gain control if contributing to a kill.
Weaknesses:
This deck is very solid, it doesn’t really have any glaring weaknesses as it has such a good balance, you will only lose to OP combo’s or ridiculous draws with this.

Forglar Swamp 3.5/5
Boghoppers can be quite fun to play, despite losing to some decks, you will win a lot of games based on draw with a deck like this. This can definitely be improved a lot by adding a few more exotics.
You may want to experiment with the ranks of Leap you take on your champions, personally I take leap 1 as its very cheap. But you may prefer the added mobility of Leap 3 on some champs.
Champions:
1x Boghopper (Common) (Upgrades: Leap 1, Dodge 2) – 56 Nora
2x Boghopper Huntmaster (Rare) (Upgrades: Leap 1, Loyalty) – 75 Nora
1x Boghopper Shaman (Uncommon) (Upgrades: Heal Mass 1, Divine Favour 3) – 72 Nora
1x Darkmarsh Concealer (Uncommon) (Upgrades: Nightfall, Cloak) – 68 Nora
2x Darkmarsh Fury (Uncommon) (Upgrades: Leap 1, Flame Nova 1) – 68 Nora
2x Darkmarsh Instigator (Uncommon) (Upgrades: Battlemaster 3, Leap 1) – 49 Nora
2x Firk Mind Shredder (Common) (Upgrades: Psychic Ping 3, Swap 1) – 66 Nora
1x Glowing Slider (Common) (Upgrades: Transfer Life 2, Heal Self 3) – 44 Nora
2x Hippo Rider (Common) (Upgrades: Charge 3, Heavy Charger) – 65 Nora
1x Marsh Gargantuia (Exotic) (Upgrades: Resist Magic 3, Sustain) – 98 Nora
2x Salaman Negamage (Uncommon) (Upgrades: Wizard Foe, Immunity Magical) – 76 Nora (Consider taking Spellswallower)

1x Poisonous Fumes
2x Pygmy Hippo Stampede
2x Reverberating Blast

This is definitely the one deck listed here that can be most improved by adding a few extra Exotics into it, and not expensive ones either.
Drown – a vital rune in FS, makes winning games very early on the draws very easy, also useable for removing problem champs that are hard to kill.
TideMaster – Tidal wave allows for a 75 nora insta kill, plus this guy is a solid range champ with Surge Boghopper and Magic Damage.
Augur of the Deep – a very OP ranged champ, that is often worth 2x including in any FS deck.
Slick and Buzz – very useful in a number of different situations, well worth including in most decks.
Gekaal – Does a hell of a lot of DoT, worth adding.
Playstyle:
You generally want to rush people with this deck, you will often lose standoffs.
You have healing at your disposal and a spell set that can easily kill enemy champions despite it looking as if their champion is better than yours.
I’d highly reccomend getting the Drown and Tidemaster into the deck ASAP.
Weaknesses:
Struggles to deal with Collossal champs or extremely tanky ones.
Your champs are very squishy and can be easily one rounded.
If your rush doesn’t succeed you are likely to lose.

Underdepths 4.5/5
This is one of the strongest possible budget decks that you could make – DevilsRath is currently running something almost identical to this in the top 5 in the game! You can definitely compete in the top 100 with this deck if you are skilled enough.

1x Deep Elf Scout (Common) Upgrades: Detection 3, Shadowspawn – 66 Nora

How do I turn this budget deck into a Top Tier ranking deck:
This deck is already very close to being one of the best decks in the meta, so there are only 2 additions I strongly suggest to make it a better deck (with a few other optional choices based on personal preference.)
5/5 1x Retribution – This is very highly reccomended to make the deck better, simply take out one sacrifice and add in the Retribution, Ret is similar to sac but offers you more options and kill potential in bad situations
5/5 1x or 2x Demon Lich – I highly reccomend getting at least one, possibly two Demon Liches in your deck, its fragile but can win games because of Cleansing Flame and offers CC to set up kills also. (Also synergises pretty well with the amount of fire damage in the deck) Simply take out 1 of the Deep Elf Summoners for the first Demon Lich, the second one is down to personal preference, you may want to take out the Scout or a Nefari Dragon.
Playstyle:
This deck is focused around fast, efficient champions and a lot of AoE Fire damage. You should be capable of rushing peoples fonts with this deck and easily one rounding enemy champions. The only Combo to mention is the Summon Borghas – If you can get a Warbanner down and preferably a champion with Fire Bomb you can put out a lot of AoE damage, especially if you add a Fireblast on top.
Although you don’t really want to sit and defend, the deck does have some capability to do so, if you make an early mistake.
Weaknesses:
Quite honestly this deck doesn’t really have a major weakness if you add in the Retribution and the Demon Lich, the most common way you lose with this deck is if you make a mistake and lose one of your champions for nothing.
Lack of Range can be a problem if you sit back and let somebody with lots of range poke you, however this is only really an issue if your Deep Elf Priestess’s are on Cooldown, as their relocate usually makes up for the difference in range.
Squishy champs – usually this isn’t an issue because you can kill the enemy champions so easily, but if you mess up or fail to kill them, your champs won’t last long, don’t allow your opponent to attack you unless you gain an advantage out of it.

Shattered Peaks 4/5
Voils are doing very well in the meta right now and the good news is you can make a very strong deck on a small budget, I give this 4 out of 5, but it is more than capable of beating almost any deck as long as you play well.
Champions:
1x Cavernkeeper (Common) Upgrades: Heal Champion 3, Motivate – 60 Nora
2x Firebomber (Rare) Upgrades: Fire Bomb 3, Burn 1 – 72 Nora
1x Lance Admiral Sceian (Exotic) Upgrades: Warcry 2, Barrage 1 – 78 Nora
1x Voil Bomber (Common) Upgrades: Stone Bomb 1, Preparation – 77 Nora
2x Voil Guard (Common) Upgrades: Opportunistic, Bulwark: Voil – 69 Nora
2x Voil Imperialist (Common) Upgrades: Boost Voil 3, Prestige – 71 Nora
1x Voil Jester (Common) Upgrades: Restraining Aura, Divert – 68 Nora
2x Voil Skythrash (Common) Upgrades: Multi Attack 2, Vulnerable – 70 Nora
2x Voil Sorcerer (Rare) Upgrades: Magic Bomb 3, Surge Voil – 83 Nora
2x Voil Stormflyer (Rare) Upgrades: Storm Acolyte, Loyalty – 66 Nora
1x Voil Transporter (Uncommon) Upgrades: Detection 2, Lift – 59 Nora
Spells:
2x Alacrity (Rare)
2x Avalanche (Common)
1x Lightning Storm (Uncommon)
2x Whispers of the mind (Rare)

1x Tribal Post (Legendary) (Note you can unlock a banner as part of the Avatar for 5k gold)
1x Cleansing Emerald (Common)
2x Thunderhead Totem (Common)
1x Voil Kings Crypt (Uncommon)
Equips:
1x Viscious Harpoon (Rare)
PoxBase link:
[link]How do I turn this budget deck into a Top Tier ranking deck:
Honestly this is debately already a top tier deck, but you should consider adding a couple other runes to tip it over the top.
1x Slavers Whip
1x Klub the devourer (if running Klub, also run a Spike equip)
1x Dirge, Moga Lord
2x Voil Transporter
2x Lightning Storm
Playstyle:
This is a very mobile deck that is capable of buildup powerturns and ranged poke. With the Warcry threat of Sciean most opponents will try to focus him at all costs, you must prevent this from happening whilst making sure you can pull off a big powerturn with Warcry, this is very easy as you have a relocate, the harpoon for the pull and even Alacrity to gain extra AP.
With so much flying, terrain is no issue and most maps don’t cause this deck a problem which all added up makes it very versitile.
Weaknesses:
The deck is fairly good at everything, however if you allow your opponent to poke at you – you will have next to no way of healing back up and it can become very difficult.
However you have a lot of range yourself, so often you will be the one doing the poking, just try not to spread the damage out and remember to focus on one rounding enemy champions so the opponent has no comeback.

Sundered Lands 4/5
For SL I will be showing you Skeezicks! They have often been considered by many to be one of the most fun to play decks. They were usually considered a 2nd tier deck, but regardless if you play well you will be able to compete in the top 100 with this deck. It contains 0 exotics as they simply won’t benefit the deck. you also have a lot of room for flexibility as there are many good skeezicks that don’t even make the cut.
I reccomend this if you want to win playing something really fun.
Champions:
2x Half Skeezick (Uncommon) (Upgrades: Skeezick Warcry 2, Skeezick Alliance) – 76 Nora
2x Negation Mage (Common) (Upgrades: Eradicate, Scour 1) – 64 Nora

[link]How do I turn this budget deck into a Top Tier ranking deck:
This deck is as good as it can be really – no increase in rarity will help (its debatable whether a mixed meta SL is better or not) You do have lots of other options which mainly come down to personal preference though, see below.
Playstyle:
Skeezick are all about their insane one rounding and powerturn potential!
Quicken makes killing enemy champions very easy, DB or Quickening gives you a massive powerturn potential with only a few champs down.
You also have plenty of mid-high ranged champs, so you can poke quite well.
Weaknesses:
You may lose the odd game by being rushed, or getting bamboozled by stealth. You also lack flying champions or anything that can relocate.
Having said that, you can counter stealth with Blister and the AP gen spells you have generally make up for the lack of mobility if you can survive the early rush.
You have very squishy champs, so be careful and make sure you don’t let them take unnecessary damage or let one be killed for no benefit.
Other options:
One of the great things about Skeezick is that you have a lot of room for flexibility, as there are so many good, cheap skeezicks.
Acid Storm – alternative to burning sands, or simply an extra AoE.
Drought – an underrated spell that is ok for sapping AP and finishing off a low HP champ.
Enslave – situational, not bad in most SL decks but Skeezick don’t really need it.
Purge – A very strong spell in certain situations, one that a lot of players use in every SL deck (personally I don’t run it in skeezick but its definitely worth considering)
Waylay – used to be a 2x auto in skeezick, but not as strong since the champion spawned got nerfed.
Skeezick Bolter – used to be auto, but got nerfed. You have enough range without this guy.
Skeezick Drummer – Not bad as a walking DB
Skeezick Ripper – Not a bad option
Skeezick Machinest – not as efficient as he used to be, possibly still ok in certain situations
Skeezick Torch – solid ranged fire damage, a little bit expensive on nora
Skeezick Trapper – Really annoying to play against, I was tempted to put this guy in the main deck.
Skeezick Warmage – Not bad for Magic damage, a possible replacement for the Wylder
Vindictive Skeezick – Not a bad option if you want more melee
