Overview
This guide sets his focus on the game 35MM and how YOU can complete this game.
35MM-Basics
Start the game by clicking on “new game”. Make sure you adjusted the graphics in the settings. Use the keys W, S, A, D to move. Press the button E to interact with objects. Click on key F to turn on/off the flashlight. Press keys “1” and “2” and switch between the camera (you can take pictures) and the knife. Press the TAB key to open your inventory. There are three types of resources – first aid kit, food/drinks and batteries. All of them are shown on the left page. The batteries are used to provide power for your flashlight, first aid kits – treatment of character, the food – to fight starvation.
The Forest
Go inside the house. You should turn your flashlight on to see a little bit better. In the house is a table with a gas-lamp. Walk up to it and press the key E to turn on the light. There is a closet above the table. Open it and get two food-portions and batteries.
Exit the house and walk away from it.A cut-scene will start soon and the other man will follow you.
Follow the path, but do not follow the man and turn right. If you can see two buildings in the distance, move closer to it. Inside you will find food. Open the box on the table and take a first aid kit. There is a note next to the box. Read it.
Return to the road and follow until the junction where you will find a trailer with some trumpets. Your friend will go straight. You can also go to the left and follow the path. You will see a fallen tree and a box to the right. On the box you can find some food.
Now go back to your friend.
Follow your companion. Soon you will find yourself on the road. There is a car to the right. Open the driver’s door and you will find a bottle of water and a photo. Follow the path on the other side of the road. Soon you will see the building. You can cut the rope on the handle of the door to get inside and find some food. A dog will appear and run away again after a while. After a cut-scene a bear will attack you. Run away and follow the man. Click several times on the E key to open the door to the shed. A cut-scene appears.
Hospital
Leave the room and go down the hall to the right. The door will be closed in the staffroom, therefore, go into the second door on the left side. You can find and read the note inside the top drawer pedestals on the left side.
Note. When you find and read a note (and other documents), the screen sparkles. The same happens when you play some instruments, which you can find along your way.
The same effect was observed during the game Metro: Last Light. If you remember, it influenced the final ending. So you should search for the documents and the instruments if you want to achieve the good ending
Go into the corridor and go through the next door on the left. There is a pedestal with a radio receiver at the end of the room. You can turn it on and listen to the message. Go to the next door on the left. But this time, move to another room the right side. There is a corpse in the left far corner. There is a note on the floor. Examine it and the documents on a table near the entrance. There is a table lamp that you can activate.
Go back and go deeper into the corridor until the cut-scene starts.
Night in the village
Apparently the hospital was a nightmare (a memory from the past). Your friend asks you to bring water from the well.
Go out through the same double doors you´ve entered earlier. You have to remove the shovel to open the double-doors. After you left the building, go to its back-side, enter the back room and cut the rope (it holds the emergency door). In that back room you can find food and batteries.
Go to the main street and go deeper into the village. Around you, you will see several houses. You need to go into the second house on the left side. Inside find a bucket inside the oven and a lighter (on the shelf to the right of the oven). If the bucket isn´t in here, return to the building were you woke up, where your friends waits. The bucket can be in there.
When you found the bucket follow the road until the junction where the main route goes to the left, under the arch of the pipe. Stand in front of the arch on the right and find the wooden well ( it looks like a large doghouse). Interact with the well on the slope. Click on the button E to open the door. You can attach a bucket to the chain with the E button. Hold it to lower the bucket down until it stops. You will here a splash sound when the bucket hits the water. Press again to raise the bucket. Take the bucket of water, return to your partner and interact with the campfire to hang the container. Sit down on a box with a red litter. A cut-scene appears.
Day in the village
Follow your friend to a new part of the village you couldn´t enter before.
Go to the house on the left. The door is сlosed. Interact with it. You will see an inscription. “You need use the axe”. But you don´t have an axe. There is another house behind it. But the door is closed. There is a third house to the right. There is a fire beside the house. Go inside and go to the table with a note. When you enter the house, you should notice the axe in front of the entrance. Take it!
Go back to the door of the neighbour house, press the “3” to select your axe and then click several times the left mouse button to attack. After you destroyed the door go inside. There are batteries or food on a left shelf. Take the fuel can in the far right corner of the house, you will need it later.
Leave the house and go to the road. You will see a second house on the right side. Inside the house you will find a room with a table. There is a lamp and a note. You can destroy the door to the house on the right, but you will find only two jars of jam. Go to the last house on the left hand. Go the room to the right. Find and read the newspaper article on the table. Here is radio. Turn it on, so you can listen to some music.
Go to your partner near the railroad tracks. There is a little train-like thing. Now you will need the fuel can you already found.. Take the fuel can and click the button E. Re-click to start the cut-scene.
Train-Trip
When the cut-scene ends, press W to go forward. You will see an arrow after the bridge in front of you. Approach it and press the E button to switch the rails. Move forward.You will see some trees on the tracks. Ram the trees. Some trees have to be double rammed. After a while you will see a wagon on the tracks. You need to push it forward until the tracks are free to go. After that go back to the second arrow you´ve passed and activate it. Then drive forward. Do not stop until the cut-scene starts.
Old Village / Settlement
Go to the gate and check the lock on the chain. You need a crowbar to open. There is a big car on wheels on the left side. Open the door and go inside. You will find a note and the crowbar on the shelves to the left. Go outside and open the gate with the crowbar.
Move forward through the village. You can turn left to find batteries in aopen garage. Follow your partner. You will see some bandits robbing an old man. Fight them by pressing the keys which appear on the screen. After that the old man will offer you some tea and a place to sleep for the night. You and your partner will follow him inside.
A very important moment! If you want a good ending you need to help the boy to complete his puzzle after talking with uncle Misha. The picture shows a kitten and a puppy with dark spots. The kitten is on the left, and the puppy on the right.
After you finished this, you can find a letter on a shelf to the left over the bed.
Walk down the hall to the right of Misha’s uncle. On the wall is a framed photo. It shows the whole family of Uncle Misha. Interact with it.
Go to the room on the right and go to sleep. When you finally fall asleep, you’ll see a dream. Your hero, Petrovich wants to call someone. On the table are some notes with phone numbers. On the left there is a piece of a telephone number with the caption ” Anya the new.” Dial it. After the call, you will wake up and find yourself in the captivity of bandits (the bandits you´ve defeated earlier).
Captivity and Escape
Crawl forward to the sharp metal plate. Interact with it to cut the rope. Crawl to the hole in the floor and get out of the cellar by clicking on the button E. After a while a cut-scene starts.
Get out of the truck, run down the bridge and hide behind a small box. Shoot the enemies with the pistol you got in the truck. You have only eight rounds. The enemys won´t follow you. There is a first aid kit in the left container. Just run away from enemies, your friend will follow you. After a while your friend stops and sits on the ground. He was wounded in the arm. He will ask a first aid kit. Press E, to give him the first-aid kit. It’s a good action that affects the ending of the game. Start running again until the cut-scene appears.
Pension “Bor”
Follow your friend inside the building. Follow him up-stairs. You can go through the door on the left side. Beware of the bombs, which are at the bottom of some of the doors. They either can undermine a shot from a distance, or you need to run through all the doorways so you won´t get hurt.
There is some food on the table. Your friend will stand in front of the double doors. Do not rush to cut the rope. Climb up to the floor above. You should find a note on this floor. Read it certainly – the screen should flicker.
You can also find safe in a room. You must enter a four-digit code. The code can only be found via a projector, but this projector needs a battery. The battery spawns randomly somewhere near the pension.
Go down to your friend. Cut the rope with your knife. Go forward and climb down. In the spacious hall you have to climb the stairs to the right. But first, go to the passage to the left. In the long corridor will be a few open doors. You can find a note in one of the rooms. The projector can also be found in this corridor.
Return to your friend.. Then go through the double doors and go down to the fire. Go on to the elevator. You need to find a source of autonomous power. There is the closed door to the right around the corner. You need a key. Go back to the fire. Go to the left-side of the stairs and find the only open door. There are keys in the cabinet. Take them; unlock the door to the right of the elevator. You will see the power supply. Lower both levers. You will see a white lamp on the dashboard. Interact with a shield, to light up the green light. Return to the elevator and watch the cut-scene.
After the cut-scene go forward and wait till the next cut-scene.
Metro-Tunnels
Go through the nearest door on the right and find the next note on the table. Move forward as long until you find yourself in the extended part. There are two ways – to the left and to the right. Go to the left. Go along the left path and look around the door at the end from the left side. Here is the code lock. You need to enter four numbers.
Return to the part with the two tracks. There is a door on the left. Open it. Go to the right along a narrow corridor. Turn left and open one more door. There are four rooms left and right (two on each side). Go into the first room on the left. There is a grating on the wall. Behind it is a bottle. Hit the grating three times with your axe. Next to the bottle is the code you need for the door you´ve already found.
Return to the door and enter the code to open the door.
Go forward and to the right. Press F several times to wave with your flashlight. Go to the left room and find batteries and a ultraviolet flashlight on the shelf. Turn on the flashlight and press the U key to turn on the ultraviolet light. Follow the corridor until you find the bathroom. Activate the ultraviolet and find two tiles with blue crosses on the walls. Destroy the tiles with your axe. But be careful, this will cause a gas-leak. Leave the room and move forward.
Get out and look to the right. There is a door. Follow it through the hallway until you see an open door with a valve.
Go forward until you see the tunnel with water. There are two pipes on the right. Turn both on. The wooden platform on the water should come close to the shore. Jump on the raft. Swim to the other side, to the stairs. Open the gate and go left.
There is a large door on the left. There is a lever to the right. Pull on it, but nothing happens. Go back and to the right in the corridor. There is a room with a bench on the left side. There is a wooden piece on the bench. You need to sharpen it (make it thinner). Turn on the bench, hold down the left mouse button to press the cutting portion and then hold down the W key to select a strong rotation. Then open the door and go forward.
Go ahead, but do not hurry to jump down. Go down the stairs to the left. Take a gun and shoot the wolves. If you are out of bullets, then run up to the corpse in the middle of the room, get down and pick up the clip with E. Then press R to reload the gun. You can fire in a barrel. After killing all wolves, search the bag near the corpse to find a first aid kit. Go to the opposite side and climb up the ladder until the cut-scene starts.
Metro-Hall
After the cut scene you have to fight several statues. The statues move slowly but the dogs move fast. You can find several more magazines for your weapon in the hall. Kill/destroy all statues.
City
Get out of the subway. You will see a church to your right.. There is the green house behind the church. You can probably find a white battery inside, which you will need later.
Exit the house and go to the right. Along the way you will meet a man. Go forward, until you met a bald man. Wait. When he opens the door, he will say that he wants batteries. The batteries spawn random in the whole city, but as already mentioned one battery can be found in the green house.
Go forward along the street until a scene starts where girl asks to help her sick sister. If you follow her after the cut-scene you will only find a dead-end. Go to the house on the other side of the street. The door is open. Go to the second floor. There is probably a second battery. Take it. Go back to the guy. Interact with him and he gives you a picklock.
Go back to the house, where you found the second battery. Go to the second floor and turn to the right door. There is tablet on the door with number “5”. Use the picklock.
Go ahead. The door on the right with the image of the sun is closed. Go into the next room. You will find the keys right on the shelves near to the window. Take them and open the door. Find the red album on a shelf on the left. Watch the cut-scene.
