4GB patch to help with crashing.

Hello and thanks for taking the time to read this quick guide on helping fix your Mafia two game when it comes to crashes and bugs. I thought it would be best to create a short guide as a lot of the negative reviews for this game are about it's performance on modern systems. Hopefully if more people know this fix then we can turn the reviews around and get more people playing this underrated gem.

The patch you need to download for Mafia two is on the; https://ntcore.com/4gb-patch/ link.

As the web page states,

'This very little tool patches x86 executables in order to let them have 4GB (instead of only 2) of virtual memory on x64 platforms. This tool comes very handy for applications which need a great amount of virtual memory like games, 3D renderization, multimedia etc.'

It will arrive as a compressed file. The 4GB name of the download is referring to the additional 2GB the game will now use not the size of the file you need. The patch should take seconds to arrive.



Once the download it complete open your Mafia folder. It should show along the lines of,

D:\Steam Folder\steamapps\common\Mafia II\pc

Then apply it to your mafia2 application.

After a brief install the game will be patched.



Then open the game and hopefully from then on you should have no problems.
