Overview
Slime keys are helpful for obtaining new areas and unlocking more slimes than just tabby, pink, and rock but I never knew how to obtain them at first so heres a guide to save you some time!
Introduction
Slime keys are used to open slime gates but if you are new to the game like me they could be confusing and you may not know how to obtain them. There are currently 5 keys in game at themoment. 3 of them open up the moss blanket, dry reef, and the indego quarry. These areas are necissary to get slimes other than pink, tabby, rock and phosphor.
Gordo Slimes
Gordo slimes are the big slimes that you see looking and players will mostly find at random. Feeding these slimes will take about 75 food unless you have their respective favorite, in which case it will take about 50. After they are fed their eyes will pop off and they will tragically explode, dropping many goods such as hen hens, some gold, and slimes.

Obtaining Keys
You obtain keys by popping gordo slimes. The keys will apear behind the goodies that the gordo drops. Keys do not have to be sucked up, you just have to walk through them and there will be a little counter in the screen that displays you got the key. KEYS CANNOT BE OBTAINED FROM ROCK AND TABBY GORDOS! Instead they will drop a teleporter that will most likely be blocked.
Trivia
- It is unknown as to where the other keys lead to
- The slime key used to be a rock carved into a shape of a key but it was changed into a key with a pink slime inside of it
- Although the other key areas are unknown, you can still use them to create a shortcut to other areas
Gordo slimes locations (AS OF NOW)
- While walking on the ledge going towards the second area of the Dry Reef, there is a section of fence cut out. Go into the hole in the fence, and directly ahead the Pink Gordo will be sitting on an island.
- On the Arch Island when trying to go to the top of it, you’ll find that gordo on your way.
