A Guide To The Custom Night Animatronics

Overview

A guide to fending off the animatronics of the Custom Night.

Ballora

Ballora is one of the simplest animatronics to deal with on the Custom Night, but she can become difficult once other animatronics are added into play.

Ballora has no attack patterns whatsoever; she will go to whatever door she pleases and attack you from there. Cameras won’t help you when you’re dealing with Ballora; any camera that she’s in view of will become static once you try to view it. You need to rely solely on sound, and Ballora packs lots of it to help you out.

You will constantly hear a soft twinkling tune throughout the halls. Do not close your door if you hear it softly. That is one of the mistakes that most new people make. Ballora cannot attack you when her music is soft. She only becomes deadly once her music becomes loud and blaring. If her music becomes loud and threatening, shut the door of the side that her music is coming from. Her music will die down and the cycle begins again.

Make sure to keep an ear open for Ballora. It’s easy to become distracted with everyone else and forget to listen to her audio cues, which will lead to immediate death.

If your power runs out, Ballora will also be the animatronic to jumpscare you and kill you.

Funtime Freddy

After Baby and Ennard, Funtime Freddy might take the place as the most important animatronic in Sister Location. While he’s not a main part of the main game, he is one of the most complicated animatronics to take care of in the custom night, especially when he’s set to Very Hard.

However, once you get into the swing of things, taking care of Funtime Freddy becomes an easy and monotonous task. Headphones are heavily recommended for dealing with him.

There is no need to check the cameras at all to find Funtime Freddy. You can locate him and Hand Puppet Bonnie only from audio. There are two commands that Funtime Freddy will give Bonnie. The other things that he says are decoys, intended to trick the player into shutting a door on him and wasting their power.

Here are the non-decoy lines that Funtime Freddy says:

“Bon-Bon, go get him!” If you hear this line, close the door on the side that Funtime Freddy is on.
“Get ready for a surprise!” If you hear this line, close the door opposite to the side that Funtime Freddy is on.

If you hear any other line, it means that Funtime Freddy is switching sides. There is no need to close the doors when he’s switching sides, as he will never attack you directly.

You can open the doors after you hear a small thump; that’s Bon-Bon hitting the door. Funtime Freddy has a tendency to switch sides after he attacks you, so always be prepared. Check the camera for him as little as possible, and rely on audio cues to know when to shut doors and open them. After you learn his quirks for attacking, he becomes more of a nuisance than a threat.

Funtime Foxy

If you’ve played the original Five Nights At Freddy’s game, then you’ll remember Foxy, the pirate fox. His attacks come back in the form of Funtime Foxy, and like the original Foxy, she can make your life very difficult.

Funtime Foxy will slowly start to peek out of her curtains if you don’t check on her enough, so it is important to flip your camera up frequently and check her progress. If she’s at the early stages, you don’t even need to look; just flip your camera up and flip it back down. As long as you check her camera, her progress will be slowed and she won’t knock on your door as often.

Like her original counterpart, Funtime Foxy drains power when she knocks on your door, but unlike Foxy, she will only drain a small amount of power, generally between 1-3%. This small amount of power can still be your downfall, so do not ignore Funtime Foxy. Check on her often, and if you’re lucky, she’ll only knock on your door once during the night.

If you check her stage and the curtains are open and empty, promptly shut the right door. You’ll hear a series of knocks. Once the knocks are done, you can check back to her stage and she will be back in the curtains where she started. If her difficulty level is high, she can restart at the second or third stage of her attack.

Yenndo

Yenndo is one of the new animatronics to show up in the Custom Night. You won’t see him anywhere else in any of the other games, though you will notice similarities between Golden Freddy in the first game and him in this game.

Yenndo will appear randomly when you close your camera. If he appears, he will drain your oxygen extremely quickly, eventually causing a blackout. If you don’t open your camera again fast enough, he’ll jumpscare you. Don’t hesitate when he appears. If Bonnet and him are both in your field of vision when you shut the camera, he’s the first priority to get rid of, as he’ll attack you first.

Yenndo is relatively simple to deal with. Open your camera quickly and he has no method of attack against you.

Bonnet

Bonnet is the rip-off version of Bon-Bon, and she’s not nearly as hard to deal with as her counterpart. There isn’t much to say about Bonnet, other than saying that she’s obnoxious to deal with and that’s about it.

When the difficulty level is set to low, Bonnet will slowly make her way across your screen. Tap her nose to deactivate her and make her leave your screen. If you don’t touch her nose fast enough, she will jumpscare you as soon as she leaves your field of vision. She will appear randomly when you close your monitor, and on unlucky occasions, she’ll appear at the same time as Yenndo. Yenndo is the first priority in this case.

As the difficulty ramps up, Bonnet will go into a full-out sprint across your screen.

A helpful tip to know is that when you close your monitor, your mouse will reset to the height of Bonnet’s nose. All you need to do is move your mouse horizontally to catch her.

Bidybab

Bidybab is similar to Funtime Freddy and Ballora in the way that you don’t need to look at her at all to know where she is. Bidybab is always in the vent ahead of you, and as time passes she’ll crawl closer and closer to your office, eventually crawling in and jumpscaring you. She goes faster as the difficulty increases.

While keeping track of Bidybab may seem hard at first, it becomes extremely easy once you know the audio cues to where she is. You only need to close the vent door once you hear a clank. This clank will come after the line “I’m going to find a way inside!”

After you hear the clank, shut the vent door. You’ll hear a knock similar to the one Bon-Bon creates when hitting the door. You can then open the vent door and she will return to the back of the vent.

Electrobab

Electrobab is one of the most difficult animatronics to keep an eye on. Electrobab can’t directly kill you, but he can lead to your demise by quickly draining your power.

Unlike the Minireenas, Electrobab can drain power from two different places. Being unlucky and going to the wrong place first can result in losing several percentage points of power, and those extra points can save your life when it comes down to it.

To deactivate Electrobab, you simply need to give him a controlled shock. Giving a controlled shock does not drain power, so the best way to deactivate him is to spam the E key (which is the hotkey for shocking) while you click on the closet cameras that Electrobab can be in. This will save you time and power. Other than that, there’s no other way to save time when deactivating Electrobab.

Lolbit

Lolbit is the easiest animatronic out of all of them to deal with. She cannot attack you, and instead causes an auditory distraction, like Balloon Boy did in the 2nd game. To disable Lolbit, you simply need to type L-O-L on the keyboard.

When Lolbit’s face appears on the monitors, white letters will appear on the keypad. You can also touch these letters in the order from top to bottom, which will also disable her. You cannot use the monitor while Lolbit is on the screen, so it is advised to get rid of her as soon as possible, as she also masks the sound of Funtime Freddy and Ballora.

Minireena 1

The Minireenas are Balloras little minions, and you’ll remember them from the horror of Night 4. They’re easier to deal with here, but they can still give you some trouble as they drain your oxygen quickly on harder difficulties.

When the Minireenas are attacking your oxygen supply, you’ll see a red warning sign appear next to your oxygen levels. Open your monitor, go to CAM 06, and administer an electric shock. This will make them disappear for a little while before they’ll return and continue draining your oxygen. As long as you don’t let them get your oxygen too low, they’re not much of a threat.

Electrobab will occasionally start draining your power at the same time the Minireenas drain your oxygen. Electrobab is the biggest threat here, as power doesn’t regenerate; shock him first and then return to shocking the Minireenas.

Minireena 2

There’s not really much to say about these guys, except that they’re annoying and they’re the main reason that this game has hotkeys while the other games don’t.

These Minireenas will appear on your screen and stick to your face, blocking your vision. They lack the ability to kill you, and you lack the ability to get rid of them. As long as you have the hotkeys memorized, they shouldn’t be a problem. They can make it slightly harder to reach Bonnet’s nose. Anticipate this and be ready to tap her nose every time she appears.
