A serious guide to Gorilla Tag

Overview

I know they’re going to be many other guides like this one in the future, but here is my perspective on it. This is going to be downright simple for those who don’t even have an hour into the game. I have at least, at the time of writing this 4 – 6 hours into the game, and many more to come. I shall update this guide once they’re is new maps or changes to the game.

READ FIRST

Before playing this game, PLEASE have clear play space! Make sure all breakables, hard surfaces and people are out of your way. You WILL swing wildly and fast. Make sure to be an arms length away from everything! If you can’t spin or circle your arms without hitting something please move or clear the area. Note: I am not the creator of this game, I’m a fan who wants to help make this game better for you and others. The reason for this warning is I broke something while playing and don’t want to see it happen to you.

Getting started

Color and Name

Hey kid, wanna cool color and a sick name? Then keep reading! When you spawn you go to the computer and press ‘Color Option’. As seen here and should pop up and then you can play with you color Use the different option buttons 1 – 3 to chose what color to play with.

You can also play with your name. Simply delete what is there and type something else in.

How the game works

Its infected tag. Who ever gets infected must infect others. AKA Lava monkeys. If you have your color still and are not lava then you are not it. Only the infected can win

Moving

Hit your hand on the ground in game and thrust forward. Same goes for jumping

Wall climbing

This is a bit trickery and may want to join a private server to practice.

Thrust yourself towards a wall and start hitting in a rhythmic pattern. Feel for the vibration in the controller. Thrust down and push at the same time

Customize your gorilla
Join a private server to practice
Play with friends
Help fellow infected
Control your movements
Play with settings
Teach people
Know your limits
Watch videos
Have fun

Don’t

Harass people
Wear wrist weights
Break the game
Be a jerk
Be in an enclosed space
Use the spawn as a hiding spot
Go AFK outside of spawn
Not report people
Troll
Don’t not play the game just cuz it looks bad
