The following can be cut and paste into the Cryofall chat to help those asking where something is located.

Tropics: Southwest (C3-529,423) & Southeast (G3-1386,449) corners of the map. If you are near a road, they will probably get you there faster. Make sure to kill Pumba (Tropical boar) & a Pangolin while you are there! Also, eat a banana, Durian, pineapple and fruit salad for 40 LP.

Barrens: Eastern part of the map. Three road entrances are the easiest portals in, best one depends on where you are on the Y axis. G4-1337,759, G6-1395,1024 & H7-1548,1257. Be prepared for lizards, fast hyenas, brown snakes & long-aggro Honey Badgers. Beware of Thumpers.

Salt Flats: Located in the barrens, slightly darker grey on the map compared to mountain areas. If you follow the southern road east, you will run into a salt flat at H4-1540,741 or H5-1556,829 depending on which path you take at the fork. Middle Road: H5-1508,979 Northern Road: I6-1609,1182.

Volcano: There are two, one in the north-east corner (H8-1402,1451) and another in the north-west (A6-113,1105). NW Volc can be reached if you use the westward road at C6-554,1113 until it terminates. The NE Volc can be reached by following the barrens road at H7-1555,1267 north over an island.

Ruins: Small grey areas on your map that have monsters guarding loot. Southern ones are typically less dangerous than the northern ones. Respirator and Hazmat suits recommended. Be prepared to learn what Radiation does! T1 Ruin Locations: B3-394,444, C3-593,441, F3-1088,427, G3-1353,447.

Beginner Ruin Locations: B3-394,444, C3-593,441, F3-1088,427, G3-1353,447. Radiation can be handled with quick feet, purple herbs and/or a respirator. Beware of scorpions!

Frequently asked about Resources

Where farming quests, water bottle quests, fridges, player vendors and plastic drive players to confusion.

Seeds: Bell Peppers, Carrots, Corn, Cucumbers, Tomato and Potato seeds can be obtained as a rare drop from grass tufts. They can also be found in ruins, along with advanced seeds, but RNG can be cruel. Player vendors can also sell them.

Advanced Seeds: Chili pepper, Milkmelon, Tobacco, Yellow Flower, Blue Sage, Oniflower, Spice, Rice, Wheat & all grass tuft seeds can be found in supply crates. Player vendors may also have them available.

Ash: Use logs, planks and twigs in your furnaces and stove. They will generate charcoal and ash as by-products. Twigs are regarded as the best, since they burn the quickest. With tier III Industry and Farming you will be able to grow oniflowers and cook them into ash.

Coins: Can be found in trash piles, ruin crates and coin purses. With tier III Commerce you can print your own. Some players will have vending stations you can sell resources to to earn pennies and/or shinies. Spend your gold nuggets wisely.

Mineral Oil: Obtained by refining petrol. Oil refineries, from tier III Industry, will be needed. This may be a good time to look into creating an oil pump base with Xenogeology tech. Otherwise, you must gather lots of oilpods. You will make lots of canisters, so be prepared.

Pragmium Queen Loot: Pragmium, Gold Nuggets, Lithium Salts & Pragmium Heart. The heart is used to craft the Pragmium hammer or can be used with the alien teleporters.

Sand Tyrant Loot: Fuel Sacks, Iron Ore Concentrate, Nitrocellulose Powder & Sand Tyrant Heart. When consumed, the heart grants the Quantum Acceleration buff, which grants increased crafting speed.

Tips & Tricks

An assortment of tips and tricks that people may not know or have missed the tool tips for.

Crafting Queue: Cancel an item with right mouse button. Make the current item moused over craft immediately with the left mouse button, but beware, this will reset the craft time of the current item.

Drones: Shift click a node to deploy all drones to seek nearby nodes of said type that are within range.

Death Repercussions: Differs between PvP and PvE.

PvE Death: No inventory lose. Equipped armor, implants & devices will take durability damage and you get a 10 minute debuff that slows all activities. If radiation was a recent damage source upon player death, a mutation debuff will affect you. This can only be cured with Anti-mutation medicine.

Movement Speed: Using roads and floors will increase movement slightly. Cigars will grant a status affect that increases movement speed by 10%. Drinking any alcohol will give a drunk status effect that lowers movement speed by 5%. Hoverboards will make you even faster while you ride them.

Repair: It requires 2 of the same item and both items must be damaged. Combine them on the Tinker table using duct tape. The new durability will be the combined remaining durability of the two items, plus 1% per Maintenance skill level plus a flat 20%. Try to have an LP buff active when duct taping!

Tech Suggestions (PvE)

My personal technology priority list. Feel free to deviate or follow to your heart’s content.

I focus on getting a lot of the ‘automated’ resource buildings up and running as soon as possible. This also allows me to maximize my resource generation push towards vehicle tier V. I begin the following once I am on the “Mastering technologies-part two” quest. I do not complete technology trees unless it is a prerequisite for another priority tree.

1) Industry Tier III & Tier IV: For oil refineries, lithium ingots, electronic components, drones, mining charges, oil cracking plant, mineral processing plant and the oniflower to ash recipe. Mineral processing plants makes mining more efficient. Oil refineries will allow me to start using the oilpod fruits I’ve been collecting and start stockpiling gas and mineral oil. Lithium ingots and electronic components are used by many other recipes. Mining charges allow me to safely mine pragmium sources. Oniflower ash allows an alternative to twig burning, but requires farming 3 to seed the crop. Drones are wonderful.

2) Xenogeology: For making other primary technologies self-sustainable. Oil pumps allow me to start turning oilpod fruits into mulch. Lithium salt extractors cut out/down my need to visit the salt flats. These buildings will increase the need for canisters and power drastically, so I fiddle around with the power settings so my veggie salads don’t spoil overnight.

3) Chemistry Tier III: For plastic. Plastic canisters and wire help me expand the industrial system. Coal is needed to make plastic, which may be a pain to gather, but this will free up the mineral oil canisters to be cycled back into the industrial complex.

4) Construction Tier III: For tier 3 land claim, maximum land claims increased to 3 and large crates. Large crates have double the storage of steel crates and only cost 25 steel bars compared to 15. It does take up 2 squares, but is the best mass storage option for PvE.

5) Electricity Tier III: For the recharging station engine generators. I can put the stockpiled gas to use to free up more canisters. Recharging station allows me to keep powerbanks charged so I can use a pragmium sensor from Industry IV. I pick up electronic furnaces when my power grid can handle them.

???) Commerce: For breaking into the player market and recycling coins. This is only a priority if you see benefit from the market.

Wildcard) Cooking Tier III & Farming Tier II: If I get milkmelon seeds early, I rush this for cheese. Relatively easy to mass produce and grants the savory buff, which will increase learning point income and skill experience gains. Cheese requires milk and milk requires pure water, salt & milkmelons. Common advice is to queue as much cheese as you can and go do whatever outside base activities you enjoy while eating the cheese to maximize LP gains. I only pick up what is needed to unlock cheese and move onto other technologies, that way I am milking my learning point and skill gains as I grind out other technologies.

6) Vehicles Tier III & Tier IV: For Hoverboard MK2. Best movement speed gives the best chances in winning the space debris & meteor races.

7) Vehicles Tier V: For the Behemoth and farming the Pragmium Queen. Artillery cannon has been netting me more rewards over time due to higher damage output. Energy cannon is lower DPS but no need to worry about ammo after every boss fight.

At this point, I would complete the “Mastering technologies-part two” and following quests for the learning points.

8) Energy Weapons: For laser pistol & plasma rifle. I produce 10 large powerbanks so I can have 5 equipped with 5 charging.

9) Cybernetics: For implants and Medkits. Artificial retina implant to eliminate night & night vision. Healing gland implant to feed the blood toll for the alien teleporters. Third implant slot is a wildcard.

10) Defense Tier IV: For the A.P.A.R.T. suit. This allows me to handle the T3 science ruins as long as I pack medicine.

11) Whichever: Free choice time.
