Hello,There has been a debate about whether the early access achievement can still be obtainable legitimatelyNote: I will discuss 2 ways of getting this achievement legitimatelyI have gotten the achievement. It seems that it is easier to get this achievement WITHOUT ANY dlcs. For some reason the dlcs make it harder to get this achievement. I am not sure how to turn off dlcs other than unchecking the box. If you know, please shareThe achievement is not broken over 40% of users have this achievement.Apparently, without the DLC, the game thinks you have “early access”
Method 1: Run the game as “Open Beta – Patch 5.1” on properties

Method 2: Let the game idle for 2 hours or so

talgaby: Hi, Merry Christmas! I bought the game originally around 2013, but the DLC only this year. As far as I know, if you buy the DLC at any time,the achievement just pops once you start up the game, any game.
FunkeymonkeyTTR: He bought the game in Feb 2017 and randomly got the achievement by leaving the game idle for a few hours in Nov, 2017 while actually looking for a method to unlock this certain achievement, then after bought the dlc late dec 2017.
How I got the achievement (Adam Jensen 007)
This is what worked for me:
– 1) Refunded the dlc or just buy without the dlc
– 2) Opened the game single player campaign and any mission.
– 3) Let the Game idle for 1 hours
-4 ) Close the game: this is when I got the achievement after closing the game.
-5) Repurchase the dlc or buy the dlc if u have not
Note: I did not have the 2 latest dlcs when i tired this. Therefore, they are not needed. I actually refunded the dlcs because I was so upset the achievement would be broken.
FYI: You only have about 48 hours to refund dlcs so refund them immediately.
Note: I did buy age of empires the base game a few years back. Perhaps that is why the game think I had early access as well. It is hard to tell.
