Overview
This is a brief guide for those of you who are aiming to 100% Ori and the Blind Forest. There are certainly some things I wish I had known about the game before I started the first playthrough, so if you’re aiming to complete it in as little time as possible, read more inside! I will keep this guide as spoiler free as possible to maximize your experience while minimizing your time spent re-playing this game!
Introduction
Hello there! Welcome to my (first) achievement guide! The purpose of this guide is meant to be more of a hints and tips article than something that will walk you hand in hand through the game until you are at 100%. If you have not yet played the game, don’t worry! This guide will be free of any major spoilers, so you are free to enjoy the beautiful game that is Ori and the Blind Forest. I’m just here to help you enjoy it more… efficiently.
General Information
To 100% Ori, you are most likely going to need two playthroughs at a minimum. While it’s possible to do it with 1, you’re not going to get the most out of the game by speedrunning the very first time. So do two. Please.
Take the first playthrough to enjoy the atmosphere. Explore the world. This one is where you will complete most of the collection, exploration, and ability achievements. In fact, you’ll find that you’ll unlock a lot of these naturally, so I wouldn’t even pay attention to achievements at all, just enjoy the game. Unfortunately, there are some areas in Ori that will be inaccessible to you after you complete them. Once you complete a game, the save file you used also can’t be resumed.
With one completion under your belt, your second playthrough aims at tackling the trinity of Supersonic, Immortal, and Elite. You can read the details of them in the section titled “Game Completion”
There are a couple of quick things to note about saves. First of all, copied saves become independent. What happens in one will not transfer to the other. You may rely on this a lot on your second playthrough. Secondly, once you complete the game, you cannot go back into that save. There is no ng+. So make sure you either have a backup copy of your save, or you are completely done with any achievements you were going for.
I have run into issues with achievement tracking through steam during Ori. Sometimes it doesn’t update, sometimes the counters will change and bug out if I load different save files. Note that most of the achievements which require you to do something X amount of times can only be completed with a single save file. If things are truly broken, restarting the game can often fix things.

Ability Achievements
This section covers achievements that are obtained by using abilities in the game. You will receive most of thse simply by playing through the game enough times, while some others require you to perform specific actions.
Basic Abilities
The following achievements are obtained by doing something X number of times. You’ll most likely unlock these naturally throughout two complete playthroughs.
Kill 500 enemies with Spirit Flame
Kill 100 enemies with Charge Flame
Kill 50 enemies with Stomp
Create 50 Soul Links
Collect 200 Energy Shards
Specific Ability Actions
These achievements involve using your abilities in certain ways, or by performing certain environmental actions.
Break open 5 shortcuts using the Charge Flame
You will naturally get this if you explore most of the map. The story will force you to do this at one point.
Kill 4 enemies simultaneously using Charge Flame.
Very easy when used on a particular type of enemy… that likes to divide. Make sure you split it once with normal attacks before charging up a shot
Kill 25 enemies using Bash to reflect projectiles
Very easy once you obtain the ability.
Kill 3 enemies without touching the ground
Very easy once you obtain a certain ability… Bash off enemies and use spirit flame until three are dead
Double Jump 5 times consecutively without touching the ground
You’ll need some way to reset your jump in midair…
using Bash off an enemy will do this. The portals in the Ginso tree will also do this. Insert screenshot
Bash off enemies 10 times in a row without touching the ground
It does not have to be 10 unique enemies. You can re-use enemies.
The four owls above the big owl are a good spot to do this
Kill 5 enemies with Charge Jump
Just do it.
Juggle a rock 5 times without it hitting the ground
Easiest with the large boulders you’ll find later
Environmental Actions
These achievements involve interactions between enemies and environments.
Cause an enemy to destroy itself
The picture is pretty self explanatory to be honest. Very easy once you get bash
Crush a Ram with a Stomper
There will be an area where it is quite obvious this is possible… insert screenshot
Trick 5 enemies into killing another enemy
Just use enemy attacks to kill other enemies. Very easy once you unlock a certain ability…
Exploration Achievements
Map Achievements
These achievements are all related as obtaining map stones will reveal locations of the other items, provided you have the required skills learned in the utility tree. Make sure though you completely explore and gather items from the locations that you cannot return to.
Restore your first Map Stone
Restore 50% of all Map Stones
Restore all Map Stones
Save at every Spirit Portal
Collect all Health Cells
Collect all Energy Cells
Visit 100% of the map
Secrets
Secrets are the sections of the map that are hidden behind terrain and “revealed” when you access them. There are usually hints in the environment that let you know about them, or there is a skill in the utility tree that will make this easier. The main thing is to make sure that you find the secrets in the areas that you cannot return to. To obtain No Stone Unturned, all secretes must be visited in a single save file. You cannot go back and obtain a secret you missed by loading a previous save file.
Find your first secret
Find 50% of all secrets
Find all secrets
Find the lost corridor in the Misty Woods
This one is not exactly a secret, but there was nothing that I saw that hinted at it. You can get it after you are done with the Misty Woods. Simply run to the left-most part of the map and the achievement should eventually pop
Skill Tree Achievements
The skill tree related achievements are best done in whichever playthrough you’re planning on exploring the entire map, especially since there may not be enough experience and ability points to max out all three trees at once without grinding some enemies for XP (Unconfirmed).
Use your first ability point
Earn all Combat Skills in the Ability Tree
Earn all Efficiency Skills in the Ability Tree
Earn all Utility Skills in the Ability Tree
Earn all skills in the Ability Tree
This one completes all of the above
As for which tree to max out first, part of that is personal preference. The first few points in Utility (middle) will allow you to automatically collect xp/energy/health drops, which is extremely useful. There is also a skill that increases the amount of XP gained from pickups, which will help immensely with maxing out all 3 trees. However, if you have a guide on hand, the remaining skills in the tree quickly become obsolete.
For the playthrough where you are attempting to max out all 3, I would first upgrade your spirit flame damage to let you kill enemies faster. Then, going down the Utility skill tree until you get to Spirit Efficiency for the XP boost would be best, since the earlier you get that the better. After that, go all the way down the combat tree to max out your spirit flame damage so you can cruise around and kill enemies as you explore the map. I would save the Efficiency tree until the end, because while the abilities may make it easier to play through the game, none of them are really necessary.
In general, if you collect all the Ability Cells and kill all the enemies you pass by, you should be able to max out all 3 trees almost exactly. If not, it is fairly easy to gain quick levels in the last area (see Spoiler section).
Special Playthrough Achievements
The three achievements in this category all require you to complete the game in a certain way. While it may sound tough, it’s actually best to complete all three in the same same playthrough. I will assume for the next section you’ve already finished the game once, so there may be some minor spoilers.
Finish the game in under 3 hours
Complete whole game without dying
Complete the whole game without using an Ability Point
The reason why you should do these together is simple. First, it saves time. Second, Elite and Supersonic complement each other perfectly. Supersonic encourages you to not take time to collect XP and Elite does the same by not letting you spend points. Yes, it will make Immortal harder, but as most of the challenges are platforming rather than combat, so it is actually not that bad.
If you do this in one playthrough however, remember to copy your saves for backups. If you quit to the menu fast enough after a death (typically before you respawn), it will not register on your current save . However, mistakes happen. Always have 1 or 2 backup saves and update these periodically so if something goes wrong, you have a point to go back to.
Also, once you have Bash, use it often! It allows you not only to avoid most of the enemies, but it will also help you on your speedrun. And if you’re using saves properly, you shouldn’t have to fear accidental death from pushing yourself forward too fast.
Missable Achievements
There are four areas of the game which will be inaccessible to you after you complete them. Below is a spoiler free count of the items that are within each area. For a more detailed walkthrough of each area, you can refer to the Collectible Map in the spoiler section of the guide.
If you would like to tackle the section yourself, make sure to make a backup save copy before you start the dungeon. Then, once you’re done, you can consult the Spoiler section to make sure you found everything. If you didn’t simply reload and redo the dungeon. Make sure you continue playing from whichever save file found all the items, since the completion achievements must be done within a single save file.

The remainder of this guide contains MASSIVE SPOILERS. Please, play through it once before consulting things in the next section. You’ll thank me for it later. The Missable Achievements section is a low spoiler way of making sure you get everything in the areas that you cannot access later. Everything else you can come back to another time.
