Overview
Proper order to tackle easily the post-game dungeon of the game.SPOILER WARNING!
Intro
There are misconceptions on the order of the events to tackle the post contents of the game.
I’ve seen guides all over the place that don’t cover it properly;
I’ll try to give my opinions on the matter as someone who screwed up and realized it later.
Some Stats
Let’s quickly analyze bosses level from the Monster Book that gives us advice on what to do and where to go. I’ll divide them into their location.
Labyrinth of Memories
- Sub bosses – 60 ~ 65
- Main Boss – 70
Tarqaron
- Final Boss First Phase – 62
- Final Boss Second Phase – 65
- Final Boss Fell Arm Extra Phase – 82
Necropolis of Nostalgia
I will list the bosses with numbers to avoid spoilers.
- N1 – 55
- N2 – 60
- N3 – 110
- N4 – 120
- Above keeps going up to 200
Coliseum
70 should be the max level
Proper Order
The game clearly gives us hints on when to tackle the various challenge.
First, the Necropolis of Nostalgia has only open 2 layers before beating the final boss and entering post game.
I think the dungeon is also unlocked before the other ones because there is a reason;
The first two floor are the easiest. They are easier than the dungeon and final boss normal phases.
The final Fell Arms are also there. I suggest you to leave at least one fell arm back to make things easier and fairly challenging. Normally, in a blind run, you’ll have 100% skipped some.
The Labyrinth of Memories is unlocked only postgame, and is a boss gauntlet.
It’s meant to be done as an extra content after the Tarqaron.
Coliseum can be done anytime you want. It’s great to level up your characters, obtain unique items and have fun!
Taking all in consideration, the order i suggest is the following:
- Clear the first two layers of the Necropolis of Nostalgia
- Beat the game to enter post game (possibly without the fell arms)
- Get stronger and have fun at Coliseum / Labyrinth of Memories (Tackle the one character challenge later if you aren’t confident)
- Get all the Fell Arms
- Beat the game again to unlock the last phase and unlock the power of the Fell Arms
- Finish the Necropolis of Nostalgia
Reasons
Just by seeing the levels of the bosses you can clearly see the intended path.
N1 and N2 are very weak and doable. You can tackle the first two layer of the Necropolis right after you unlock it.
The reasoning on why you should clear the other layers of this dungeon after you get the fell weapons is also seen in the levels (Also N2 himself gives you a clear hint on the fell arms).
Final Boss last form with Fell Arms is at level 82 with ATK power of 4812.
N3, the boss after N2, starts at a whopping 110 level with ATK power of 7350.
A low level normal bat on the Necropolis after the third firmament has something like 3500~ ATK power. And that’s a normal enemy.
That’s why you should save the Necropolis for later.
The final boss of Nectopolis will deny all the Fell Arms power, but that’s his mechanic. The rest of the dungeon is meant to be done at high level, possibly with Fell Arms.
