Overview

A detailed description of rad slimes and hunter slimes so that you are ready when they are implemented in.

About

All of this information is from the slimepedia and obversation

I got these slimes using the BetterBuild mod, check it out here:

unfortunatley it dosent work with the latest version of slime rancher =(

1.0 Rad Slimes

This radioactive slime cant be obtained legit and appears in the main menu. When in its glow it will increase a radiation bar shown above the inventory like here

When it reaches 100% you will start taking damage, untuil eventually you get knocked out.

The glow can be put out by throwing water on it but will re-appear after 20 seconds, although it dosent seem to be put out when Submerged in water. <— i claim this peice of info a mine that i discovered as of the 17/02/2016 7:00 PM

1.1 Slimepedia

The icon (slimepedia and inventory) is a green slime with lighter green eyes and mouth with a green halo around it. Their slimepedia entry states: “It’s unkown if rad slimes, sometimes called ‘raddies’, came to be from external radiation sources or from something naturally occuring within the Far, Far Range.”

The rad plorts which sell for 30 coins are basically bateries which can be turned into plortonium and everything runs off it

Their diet is vegetables and favourite is Oca Oca, a vegetable that cannot be found ledgit in the game YET but may be found in an area of the reef not yet made including this plant.

2.0 Hunter Slimes

This odd slime resembles a tabby (probably a placeholder) and its icon when in the inventory is a white square, along with its plort which cannot be sold. It will turn translucent every now and then and doesnt jump as high but otherwise acts like a normal tabby

2.1 Slimepedia

Their diet is meat and favourite is roostro

The icon in the slimepedia is a tabby with a greenish hue on it and it states “Like a wolf in slimes clothing… that looks more like a cat really.” There is nothing but ‘TBD’ in slimeology, rancher risks and plortonomics.
