Overview

This guide will tell you about EVERY creature confirmed by the devs of The Isle and what we know about what they will look like in Evrima Please note that this guide is constantly being updated as i find new information and new information is released

This Guide is updated as of june 22 2021 any new information regarding these creatures after this guide becomes public may not be included for a while, also i am currently in the process of updating this guide, it will contain growth times and controls for all dinos for both legacy and evrima and all controls are for QWERTY keyboards

Current roster

Acrocanthosaurus

Acro is a sandbox-only playable in The Isle’s legacy branch. its currently getting a confirmed rework with an updated model and animations being developed,

Albertosaurus

alberto is a sandbox-only playable in The Isle’s legacy branch it is confirmed to come to survival sometime after the recode. alberto has had many stat and status affect reworks in the past, but as it stands today, its basically a “Sub-rex clone”. it has been confirmed for a rework in the future

Allosaurus

Allo is playable in the isle’s legacy branch, it is playable in both survival and sandbox. Allo has had many model changes in the past and as it stands right now, the current model is here to stay. after the recode it has been hinted at to have an ability to grab smaller creatures, although this has yet to be seen. allo is one of the most well rounded carnivores in survival, as it has decent speed damage and hp without having to sacrifice turn radius, the only threats to a full grown allo (in survival) are apexes, but even then a skilled pack can take them out

Ankylosaurus

Anky is a playable creature in sandbox mode in the isle’s legacy branch, it is confirmed to have a rework in the near future, a model and concept art has been shared by the developers. anky has had a shaky history as it was considered by many to be a “bad animal” and was almost cancelled.

Austroraptor

Austro is a playable creature in sandbox mode in the isle’s legacy branch. austro was first added on the games entrance into early access. it could use a pounce attack but that has since been removed in legacy’s current state. it is confirmed to be added to survival mode in the future.

Avaceratops

avaceratops is an ai creature in the isle’s legacy branch. it has been confirmed by the devs to become a playable creature later on, however, its abilities have yet to be seen

Baryonyx

Baryonyx is playable in sandbox gamemode in the isle’s legacy branch. bary has been around for a good while, it has had many adjustments to its size and stats and it is confirmed to be getting a rework in the future

Camarasaurus

Camara is a sauropod playable in sandbox mode in the isle’s legacy branch, it has been confirmed to be getting a rework sometime in the future however no concept art or models have been shared by the developers current camarasaurus model:

Carnotaurus

Carno is playable in all gamemodes in all branches and has received an ability rework in the Evrima branch. carno (in evrima) is a large predator able to take out almost anything with relative ease, save for stegos and large packs of utah

Ceratosaurus

Cerato is playable in all gamemodes in the isle’s legacy branch. cerato is one of the few creatures that hasnt received, and as far as we know wont receive, a model update. it is confirmed to be coming to the Evrima branch in the near future. ceratosaurus is an underdog carnivore mostly bullied by allos and carnos and can be killed by utahs, they are pretty weak however do a good amount of bleed damage

diabloceratops

diablo is playable in all gamemodes in the isle’s legacy branch. it goes by many names: dibble, diablo and sometimes even “Potato”. dibble has been confimed to be added to the evrima branch, although it wont be receiving a major rework. dibbles are smaller, faster (and in some cases meaner) trikes they do a lot of damage and can be a threat to even the most skilled hunters, however a good hit and runner can take them out and apexes don’t even have to worry about them

Dilophosaurus

Dilo is a playable creature in all gamemodes in the isle’s legacy branch. dilo is confirmed to be added to evrima with a new venom effect and extreme night-vision. dilos have amazing night vision and can bleed-out opponents with ease. in evrima, their venom will be able to cause hallucinations in creatures it bites if inflicted after sunset

Dryosaurus

Dryo is playable in all gamemodes in all branches and has recived a model and animation update in the Evrima branch. in the legacy branch it is capable of burrowing but this has yet to be added to the evrima dryo

Gallimimus

Galli is playable in all gamemodes in the isle’s legacy branch. galli has recived a model update in the past and it has been confirmed to arrive to evrima in the near future in evrima it will be able to eat eggs and maybe small bodies. currently, galli has a fast kick-attack and a fast run speed making it almost unkillable unless its been ambushed

Gigantosaurus

Giga is playable in all gamemodes in the isle’s legacy branch, giga is confirmed to be receiving a rework sometime long after the recode. a model and conceptual art has been shared by the developers: current giga model:

Herrasaurus

herra is playable in sandbox gamemode in the isle’s legacy branch. herra is confirmed to have a rework in the near future, currently it is the fastest playable however when it is added to evrima it will have a completly different niche. it has been hinted to be able to climb trees and pounce on things below however this has yet to be seen. a render has been shown off by the developers: current herra model: upcoming elder model:

Hipsilophodon

Hipsi is playable in the isle’s evrima branch. hipsi is a small herbivore that uses its blinding spit to get away from attacks, it can jump high enough to sit in trees, hipsi does not have a juvi stage yet but it will be added soon in a later update.

Maiasauria

maia is currently playable in all gamemodes in the isle’s legacy branch it is said to have an elephant-seal style gameplay like throwing its body around while fighting

Pachycephalosaurus

Pachy is a small herbivore playable in all gamemodes in the isle’s legacy branch, it is confirmed to get an ability rework in evrima with a charge attack and bonebreak although the full extent of this is unknown. currently, pachy’s are mostly written off as low-tier trash and are pretty weak

Parasaurolophus

para is playable in all gamemodes in the legacy branch. para is said to get some sort of stun-attack maybe using its crest and it will stand as tall as apexes at full height

Shantungosaurus

shant is playable in sandbox mode in the isle’s legacy branch. it has been stated that it will get a rework long after the recode and conceptual art has been shared

Spinosaurus

Spino is playable in sandbox mode in the isle’s legacy branch. it is confirmed to be getting a rework and a model has been shared by the devs:

Stegosaurus

stego is playable in sandbox in legacy and survival in evrima and has recived a model and ability update in the evrima branch. currently, stego uses its impale attack to take out utahraptors and tell carnos to “go away”

suchomimus

sucho is playable in all gamemodes in the isle’s legacy branch. it is confirmed to be added to evrima later on but it will not be reciving a model update. currently, suchomimus is very very slow and has to stay near water due to its low water stat however its very powerful and has decent enough speed while amushing and can go a while without eating

Utahraptor

Utah is playable in all gamemodes in all branches however has some special abilities in the evrima branch. currently utahraptors hunt in packs through the jungle ruthlessly murdering everything they see even other utahs. tip: dont trust other utahs

Tenontosaurus

Tenonto is playable in the isle’s evrima branch. tenonto was the first herbivore introduced to evrima and it has multiple attacks that it uses to counter utahraptor’s pounce attack

Therizino

Theri is playable in sandbox mode in the isle’s legacy branch. theri is going to be reworked and models and concept art have been shown by the developers weather or not it will have uniqe abilities is unknown

Triceratops

trike is playable in all gamemodes in the isle’s legacy branch. it is confirmed to be coming to evrima later on and it has been rumored to be getting a remodel with more curved horns

Tyrannosaurus

t-rex is playable in all gamemodes in the isle’s legacy branch. it has been confirmed to be added to evrima later on however it will not be getting a model update

Deinosuchus

Deino is a creature added to the evrima branch it is the first true semi-aquatic added and the second non-dinosaur added to the game. it has been teased long before the recode. it is a sit& wait predator sitting in the water waiting for creatures to drink in order to kill them, because this lifestyle involves a lot of waiting, its food value doesnt drop as fast as other animals, however it needs a lot of food to fill its hunger back up it has a lunge attack that is able to drag creatures to their death

Pteranodon

Ptera is a pterosaur added to the evrima branch and it is the second pterosaur ever introduced. its lifestyle revolves around skimming the waters for fish and stealing smaller carcasses from creatures as well as acting like vultures, circling large carcasses they cannot pick up

Creatures in development

Beipiaosaurus

beipi is an upcoming creature coming to evrima not much is known other than it will behave like a duck and it might be able to burrow

Brachiosaurus

Brachi is an upcoming creature coming to evrima. brachi will be replacing pue after the recode, however it has been in legacy game files for years just never been used until the recent leak of unreleased content

Compsognathus

compy is an upcoming ai/playable creature coming to evrima. compy will act as natural cleaners eating gores they find around the map one of the few creatures that had a cameo in the hope trailer and can be seen on the main menu screen of evrima

Deinocherius

Deinocherius is an upcoming therizinosaur-like herbivore, currently not much is known about the deino other than this concept:

Kentrosaurus

kentro is an upcoming creature coming to evrima. a concept was released showing kentros spikes being used to impale creatures and kentro’s shoulder spike being used to “check” careless dinos. it also shows kentro digging up roots and standing on 2 legs in order to reach higher leaves however these are most likely just drawings to show the kentro in more poses

Troodon

Troodon is an upcoming creature coming to evrima. it will have the best night vision and will be able to inflict venom, the full extent of this venom is unknown

monolophosaurus

mono is an upcoming creature coming to evrima. originally it was speculated to be one of the 3 venomous creatures (troodon, dilo and an unknown creature) not much is known at this time

magy is an upcoming creature coming to evrima. it will be able to eat most plants without worry of being poisoned its said that its not very tasty and its flesh will likely be poisonous to carnivores that feed opon it and that it will be able to lay against trees and make them fall

homalo is an upcoming creature coming to evrima. this creature will be able to burrow and spar with its packmates however the full extent of this is unknown

Humans

information regarding humans in the isle is very obscure, with most of it being written out of the lore by the developers, however, we know that there are 2 factions: mercenaries and tribals both were once playable however were removed later on.

tribals: tribals have been confirmed to be able to craft and build structures, as well as tame player-dinosaurs using force, neither will have full control of the other

mercs: mercs are confirmed to be able to use guns and claim bunkers, they are able to repair structures and will have vehicles, but no tanks. mercs will be the first humans introduced to the EVRIMA branch

megalania

Megalania is a giant lizard that has been confirmed however nothing has been released for it. it has been speculated to be venomous and has received a concept art piece

minmi is an upcoming creature coming to evrima, minmi has been confirmed to act like a hippo, eg walking underwater and eating underwater plants it can also burrow to make a home or to escape predators

Oviraptor

ovi is an upcoming creature coming to evrima. ovi has been confirmed to be able to steal & eat eggs and use its legs to scratch and maybe bleed out smaller opponents. a model & concept has been shared

proto is an upcoming creature coming to evrima not much is known about this creature

Quetzal

quetz was once in the game and was the first non-dinosaur added however it was removed due to the issues it caused. it is confirmed to have a rework although any new special abilities are unknown

Rumored creatures

NOTE! all the creatures listed below are RUMORED to be being developed and at any given time could be scrapped! however punchpacket stated that he wanted to use ALL their assets in some way so we could be getting these creatures after all! (Note: this is just speculation everything in this section hasnt been confirmed nor denied)

Titanboa

What we know: titanboa has been announced for years and it was in legacy game files for a brief time it was playable, however it has been removed. the devs have stated that it will most likey be an ai only dino if it does return, which is unlikely

what we know: it has been hinted at by many of the developers with dondi stating that bryan and jake were “working on it” it has not been talked abut since but it would be an amazing addition in my opinion

Pachyrhinosaurus

Pachyrhino is a rumored creature, not much of anything is known other than the devs stating that it has a “Low priority old model” so its speculated to get a rework

rugops

Rugops is a rumored creature, barely anything is known and it was widely accepted as cancelled, however recently its calls were released and its possible to be included

Diplodocus

Diplo has been mentioned every now and then, however, it was cancelled early on only to be mentioned again recently by dondi stating “put it on the ass end of your list” meaning if it does come, it will most likely come in the far future

Plateosaurus

Plateo has been mentioned a few times, however it has been stated to have an “older model” so if it does come into the game, it will be remodeled

Aquatic creatures

“Our fully aquatic (marine) animals are more likely to make an appearence.”- dondi

Scrapped creatures

Apatosaurus

not much has been said, other than its been scrapped and never got textures or animations

Dakotaraptor

originally it was going to be an austroraptor skin, however then it was decided to make them 2 different creatures and dakotaraptor was cancelled soon after

Puertasaurus

pue is playable in sandbox mode in the isle’s legacy branch. pue is confirmed to be cancelled and will be replaced with brachi in the recode, it is the largest playable creature and has been around since the game entered early access.

nothing is known, it hasnt been confirmed nor scrapped however it does have a model

Deinonychus

no known files outside of a tissoplastic concept exist

Strain creatures

well instead of making another guide i decided to make this guide 10 times longer, good luck reader
NOTE: strains are NOT in game and normally accessible to players YET
What types of strains are there?

hyperendocrin: this type of strain has thick hide, bulletproof armor and are huge hulking monsters that only the mightiest may challenge, however they have extreme hunger and can die of starvation

Neurotenic: extremely smart, stealthy predators able to use bio-electricity to their advantage. some can even talk to all species via telepathy

tissoplastic: extremely fast and very very venomous and can turn invisible not much else is known

magna: the perfect balance between strength and hunger. while weaker than hypos they still have the capability to kill them and can still be part of an ecosystem.

Hyperendocrin

Hyperendocrin tyrannosaurus

The hyper rex is an extremely large version of the tyrannosaurus that is covered in thick armor and hide. unlike most hypers the rex doesnt look on-par with the others and is getting a remodel in the future

Hyperendocrin Carnotaurus

The fastest hyper so far. as well as the smallest in-game one. the hyper carno is one of the more dangerous hypers due to its speed it can easily take out almost any non-hypo. may or may not get a remodel

Hyperendocrin Giganotosaurus

The hyperendocrin giga is probably the most outlandish looking of all the hypers. it is likely to be getting a remodel due to the normal giga getting one

the hyper spino might be the most developed out of all the hypers, it has almost all its animations, and it can nest. this was the reason spino got a remodel as the legacy spino doesn’t fit its hyper variant at all so its unlikely to get a remodel

Hyperendocrin Utahraptor

The hyper utah has been modeled, textured, and maybe rigged however that’s it. it will supposedly be able to open doors and it will be almost the same size as a utah but with all the power of a hypo, this will allow it to kill prey in places other hypers cant reach

this will be the largest creature in the game, able to pick up a pue and throw it. it has been theorized to be a human with hyperendocrin abilities

Neurotenic Spinosaurus

This creature was originally made by tapwing before they became a dev and the dev team thought it was cool so they turned the concept into reality. this creature maye be getting a remodel although maybe not.

Neurotenic mastermind

also known as “Echidna” they seem to be a human affected by the neuro strain. they are said to be the mother of cannibals and in some morse code may be calling for help

a bat-like creature confirmed to be a tisso-human maybe mixed with other dna types

Magna rex

The creature that brings primal carnage and The isle’s universes together, it is said to be the perfect combination of strength and hunger having enough strength to kill a hypo while not having extreme hunger.
