Overview
I’m using my own knowledge of the game, and the wikipedia to try and make a helpful guide for new players. I would like to thank all the people who took the time to give me feedback, and also develop the wiki for this game, they all did a wonderful job, so thank you! It’s a work in progress, if you see any missing information, or recommend anything to add to it, let me know in the comments.Image: :~ Kisekae[FOOD]: Rice Bowl ~: by SakuraRoseLily on DeviantartSpecial Thanks to:Dand & Oni – For making the game, and helping me make some tables by providing me with the formulas.Alex – for making an excellent calculator for the community to use.Rawrice – For helping me make the slime table to find what bonuses effected whatRiceElfa – For updating the challenges on the wikipedia, so i could use the information to add to my guide.Dragon, Alice, and many others for correcting info I got wrong.
[Stage 1] The Basics
Welcome to wizard and minion idle, I hope you enjoy your stay.
Let’s go over some basics.
When you first start you will want to put all mana you got into spells so that you can push stages. The higher the spell, the more effective it is, so once the first spells slow down take out the 1,000 mana and put it in the next spell.
Pushing stages allows you to unlock features throughout the game, and the further you get into it, the more mechanics you will have access to.
- Level spells faster with “mana power”
- Strengthen your stats with “spell power” gear and attack/defense demons.
Town buildings are a great way to increase your stats, and even right from the start we can make quite a bit more gold by investing some into buying houses. Try to get up to 8-9 houses.
The EXP shop, has a ton of neat upgrades you can get, but the main ones we are concerned with at this stage of the game is Mana refill, Mana power, and the unique upgrades.
At stage 10, is when I would recommend checking out the exp shop and going for mana refill, I spent all my exp on it, and went from 13.25 to 69.15, once I put demons on refill it further increased to 131.67. which is nearly 10x faster refill since we started the game.
This will help you conjure much faster of course, and get closer to hitting that mana cap.
This is just my opinion about unique upgrades, i would only invest in these if improving my mana refill or mana power would only be 10% for either.
For example:
Let’s say i have 15 mana power, 15 refill.
I could buy either the unique upgrade or get 45 more mana power or refill. I wouldn’t go for unique upgrades because 10% increase doesn’t even come close to beating out a triple stat boost “300%”.
Pushing means you are simply trying to get to the highest stage possible, this is done by splitting demons between your offense and defense.
Once you are done pushing, you should put demons back on either mana refill or mana power.Than make sure you are farming the best possible exp or gold, depending on what you want, by hovering over the stage number and adjusting the stage accordingly.
My rule of thumb for the start is: Go Down 5 from highest stage, and adjust from there. Works well for me, and I’m sure it will work well for you.
Example for farming gold:
23 is the highest i can kill, however as you can see gold wise its actually nearly 5x times less efficent than just doing stage 14.
The following are all methods in order to farm up to 10,000 souls a day.
World boss doesn’t count towards the cap, so keep doing those world bosses, until you get the auto.
Events also give you alot of souls, so make sure to stay on top of those!
The first two soul purchases you should try and get is:
1) Auto Boss – This will get you souls passively over time, with you having to do nothing.
2) Auto Conjuring – Quite frankly conjuring is a time sink, and having this handle the whole deal for you is worth it.
Mana Cap Gains
Classes Exp
Museum Slimes
Auto Plaza
Synergy
Cooking (effects of cooking)
Crafting
“Active” Slime (Timewarp is given)
Adventure (Timewarp Is Given)
[Stage 4] Conjuring
You use mana to conjure demons, there is two different types, left and right side demons.
Left Side – Gives you ability to assign demons to a certain stat you want to boost.
Right Side – Gives you temporary demons, that boost everything across the board.
Make sure you are conjuring as much as possible, it’s very important to progress the game!
[Stage 8] Demons
Demons can be used to super boost stats so you can progress further into the game.
Note: Don’t waste time on exp/gold with your demons until later in the game, at the start the % increase is so small it’s not even worth it.
Example:
Offense gives the best bonus out of everything because of the scaling, and exp doesn’t charge regardless at this stage, which is hilarious. When you get more gold from offense than you do putting demons on gold… well lol
[Stage 12] Minion & Adventure
Now that you have unlocked your minion, you can start unlocking gear from adventure. There is several ways to improve your minion, with pet points and pet food.
Left side of minion lab has fixed leveling speeds, so regardless how much food you put, it will level at the same rate.
Right side of the minion lab doesn’t have a fixed leveling speed, so the more you put the quicker it goes. However it will have a cap eventually, though you won’t be reaching the cap speed unless your past stage 350.
Adventure is one of the strongest features in the game, due to how permanent all the bonuses you
get from gear are. No matter what challenge you start, or where you are in the game, your gear progress is a permanent boost you never lose that will help you the rest of the way.
You will unlock zones based on how much progress you make stage wise, and some unlock even under special circumstances.
A few things about Adventure “Gear”
Note: You can draft the inventory window that appears by dragging the left side of it.
[Stage 20] Reincarination
Reincarnation gives you % bonuses that helps you across the board push, however there are some negatives to this if you aren’t careful
- Getting higher reinc makes your stats across the board stronger
- Getting higher mana cap allows you to conjure more which will give you alot more demons
- Having a higher spirit cap will help generator make more essence over time
- You can lower Reinc % if you reincarnation too early until you beat TL 3
- Every time you reinc you cut your spirit refill in half until you beat IS 2
- You lose essence from the generator, so it’s good to use charges, however never ever use your last charge because you will lose all your essence and as a result the reinc bonus you built up.
- Push to the highest stage possible, demons on attack defense, cooking attack/defense, and a slime with spell power helps alot.
- Conjure as much as possible when you are done pushing stages, if you have the mana for it.
- Don’t ever use your last charge on your generator, it will dump your essence and make you lose all that built up reinc bonus.
[Stage 1-20] Review
So far we have unlocked conjuring, demons, adventure and reincarination.
Now it’s time to talk about how to maximize the benefits of each of these.
1: Make sure you do things in cycles
- Spell Push – Assign mana to spells to push up your offense/defense and unlock conjuring
- Mana Refill – Remove mana from spells, and use it to conjure instead, put demons made into mana refill to speed up this cycle of using mana.
- Mana Power – Switch demons from mana refill to mana power in order to level your spells quicker.
- Gold Push – Switch demons from mana power to gold to build more of your town
- Offense/Defense – Swap demons evenly from offense/defense in order to do your final push before reincing
- Reincarination when you have a nice boost, first time i normally aim for 40% than 75% etc.
Once you get more gear later in the game, you will be able to combine your gear with what your trying to push.
[Stage 30] World Boss
The first world boss you unlock is how you get more souls in the game, you have to click on it every time it’s defeated to start it again, at least until you get the auto for it which is highly recommended
Notes:
- Beastmaster doesn’t affect world boss item drops
- Buff Stats skill from adventure works against world boss
[Stage 40] Slimes
- Slimes range from “Angelic to Devilish” personalities. Angelic, means their moods will decrease slower, but their overall stats aren’t as good.
- You will unlock different ways to improve the mood of slimes when you get further into the game and unlock more features.
- Mood doesn’t effect the stats of a slime you plan to put into a Museum or send to Slime Adventure, however mood will impact your active slime that you are currently using.
The early game, the only thing you need to worry about is getting your training level up, which means trying to find loyal slimes, so you can level them for a long time.
- Making your slimes more demonic increases their stat gains per level, but also decreases their mood faster.
- First level of aggressive training, makes it so the slime mood decreases by double the speed, but the leveling is increased by 50%
In-Progress
The slime table below, is for hunting slimes when you get further into the game.
[Stage 50] Demon Reproduction
In the demons tab, you need to assign demons to the reproduction section in order to make spirit, there should always be demons assigned to this tab. So that you are constantly increasing your spirit refill while pushing. Which will help your generator become stronger and generate more essence.
Once you start making spirits, you will make something called shadows, that will be able to damage dungeon floors to increase your stats.
Each dungeon benefits from an element of your stats, for example, if you want to do more damage to the mana refill dungeon, you simply need to put on mana refill gear and mana refill demons, and whatever else you have available in order to deal quicker damage.
Spirits build up essence in a generator. The essence in generator determines how powerful your temporary bonuses are. To obtain permanent bonuses you need to spend a generator charge which will also consume essence depending on the ratio of the charge.
For example spending your last charge will take up 100% of your essence.
The following are the type of stats you can invest generator charges into.
[Stage 60] Challenges
You unlock the challenges which you can find on the reincarnation tab, however there is nothing unlocked yet till you beat stage 75, to unlock your first challenge.
A few things about challenges.
- When starting a challenge you will lose the following: Reincarnation %, Generator Bonuses, Mana Cap. You will get Generator and Mana Cap back after you finish the challenge.
- While you do lose the reinc % you had when you start a challenge, you do keep the “next life reinc %” you get to in the challenge, so you can continue pushing outside the challenge without being hindered.
This list can change, depending on how my other playthroughs go, or what people say in chat, OR THE WIKIPEDIA getting updated xD
Conjuring you unlock more demons to summon which are more spirit based to help generator.
[Stage 100] Trophies
- You get trophies every day based on your highest achieved stage.
- Trophies are a one time purchase
- Trophies are rewarded to you once your daily timer resets, which can be found in detail reward
Costs:
Page 1: 790
Page 2: 1545
Page 3: 3030
[Stage 75 – 140] Pushing
- Complete your first challenges
- Starting Maxing lower adventure zones
- Start getting trophies to boost your progress
Recommendation for Challenge
- You should just started this challenge right away. If you want more prep, get to stage 90 first..
- Farm all the gear from zone 1-4, and use zone 3 and 4 gear to your advantage
- EXP push a bit to up your base stats so when you enter the challenge its easier
When you enter a challenge, you lose your reincarnation bonus. The reincarnation bonus you would get if you reincarnated during the end of a challenge stays with you outside the challenge. So conjuring before finishing up a challenge, is a good way to further increase your reinc %.
You will want to start using trophies to go for minon attack/defense and than into drop rate, this will make it easier for you to idle new zones and gain the items more quickly, which will boost your overall progress.
Recommendation for Challenge
- Farm EXP shop and try and get around 400-500 for your base mana power and mana refill
- Make sure you farm and gain the gear from Z3/Z4
Recommendation for Challenge
- Farm EXP before the challenge to make it easier
[Stage 140] Gathering & Crafting
Gathering is used to for crafting gems, and making plaza buildings. However, it’s not worth wasting any time on this until you hit Stage 200, where you get gathering gear that will greatly increase the speed and exp of it.
So there are certain points, where you will want to gather 24/7… here is the list!
Crafting gems, is a great way to increase your stats across the board, however it’s not worth focusing at the start until you once again hit stage 200, than it’s okay to focus, and progress becomes way smoother by that point.
[Stage 150-165] Challenge Spree
The following are challenges you want to complete in the order listed, getting these challenges done will help you push alot further.
Bobbidi Increases gathering exp by 2, which will help you level gathering up so you gain more resources, however I would still wait until 200 before you get into gathering too much, since the special zone 4 gear is very good.
Special Zone 1-3 all drops pet food and pet points, it’s best to farm the ones you can one shot when trying to get more pet food, so the rate is quicker.
Pet Food 1080%
Pet Points 108
[Stage 165] Battlefield & Plaza
Now it’s time to kill the T1, so you can unlock plaza. Equip your strongest attack/defense gear, and get to work, it will take a while, but once you beat it, it’s going to be worth.
Use timewarp with attack/defense and active button smashing, if you want it to go by faster.
When you are trying to beat time portal, do not LOAD or CLOSE your game, you will lose all progress with the boss!!!
First two buildings you can get with plaza is hell wells and aqueducts, you should try and get at least 1 hell well to unlock battlefield, and work your way up to 5 if you can, which is good enough for battlefield to get rolling a bit with the hell mana.
Please note there is two requirements for building plaza, gathering resources and mana cap. Your mana cap rate will be effected by how much mana cap you burn on plaza. There is a “maximum” mana cap rate increase of 25% of your next mana cap, so you have to be careful not to burn ALL your mana cap right away. Try to figure out what your best “mana cap rate” point is and put that amount into spells so they can’t be drained.
For a while, you will be more concerned about building up your plaza, than you are resetting it. The more buildings you have the better your bonuses overall. Once you build it up enough, it’s time to use the bonuses to gain as much gathering resources as possible, so you can do several resets at once.
You want to save up enough resources to be able to buy both gathering generator, and the plaza building reduction perks in the plaza store. These two will help you gain resources quicker, and make it cheaper to gain the plaza perk points you need for further upgrades.
- 1) Cheaper Plaza Building Perk
- 2) Gathering Generator
Unlocking everything in first row is important, of course getting the goblins perks is also pretty important to, to help you progress further in battlefield.
Should aim for the following Special Unlocks:
- Fishing Dungeon
- Fishing Mastery
- AE Challenge
When you are done with row 1, go right into getting all the battlefield perks and getting mana cap rate, which will help you build your mana cap back up quicker, so your able to prestige quicker.
- Without “SAVE PLAZA” perk, you will lose all progress of your buildings on reset, but get plaza perk points in return.
- it’s better to build your plaza as high as you can, focus on gathering for a couple of resets and than min/max the amount of times you prestige for points by setting “2” in alex calculator for the gem buildings, and than adjusting the rest of the numbers to match it.
- Once you get save plaza, this is where you will want to base your auto plaza on ticks. You will want to build 18/14/10/6/2 at first. Than once you have enough gathering resource rate to do it 24/7 uninterrupted you will want to increase each one by 4. So next one would be 22/18/14/10/6.
Auto-Plaza doesn’t run offline yet.
- Minimal – When you are doing your first prestige, it’s more about unlocking gathering generator and getting plaza price reduction.
- Efficient – Using alex calculator, you need to plug in 2 for gem buildings, and see how many prestiages you can do based on that number, than adjust the log and ore buildings to match it for maximal profits.
- 24/7 – If you can afford to do auto plaza 24/7 than setting it up this way will give you the quickest prestiages possible.
- 24/7 Upgraded – Increase everything by 1 or more, and see if you can maintain it 24/7, this will give you a big boost in making plaza perks, because all the buildings are producing you prestige longer before resetting into just having the starter buildings.
Once battlefield unlocks after building your first hell well you will you will see a couple of options:
Some Strategy points to keep in mind:
- Make sure you adjust the number you have set to the left of your screen, so you can buy units, when you first unlock battlefield set this to 1.
- If you purchase units right before a unit reset and shortly after, you can essentially double the amount of units you would be able to afford and have a bigger army to help push more waves.
- Upgrading your base units with hell mana, will make it easier to push up waves and make each unit more valuable, meaning you have to spend less overall hell mana to make same progress.
- CoD is chance of death, and the less it is, the longer your army can last, however at a point there is a guaranteed amount that will die when the counter attack occurs.
- Be careful of wifu/slime needs, they can accidentally consume a large portion of your resources, which can really prevent you from building up your plaza.
[Stage 175] Fishing & Cooking
Welcome to my favorite part of the game, fishing! You fish while idle, or you can fish faster by doing it actively. However it takes a very long time without the fishing tiers. A few things about fishing.
Tip: if you hover over the baits you can see what fish they get you, so you can check if it’s worth to unlock right away or not.
You use fish to cook yourself temporary bonuses which can help you really boost your stats and push stages, farm essence, and level your slimes. There are permanent bonuses you get every-time you cook which will eventually stack up and become relevant and a very nice passive buff to your stats.
[Stage 175 – 225] Pushing
You will want to mostly focus on crafting at first since it will help you with gathering which in turn helps plaza. Once you reach high +’1s you should be all set to push plaza some more, and try to reach tier 4. reaching tier 4 and getting 3 levels in dwarven will allow you to reach 225.
[Stage 225] Classes
There are several different classes you can unlock, each with their own benefit, and while they are pretty dam useful, they have a timer on them so you can’t just constantly swap them back and forth as your main, though you can do this for your sub class.
Put druid as your main class, and battlemage as secondary, because druid levels slow as heck, and you really want the benefits of it as soon as possible.
- You can swap a class for free, before the reset timer hits and swap back once it rolls over, the timer is actually a set time so its always ticking and doesn’t just start once you change a class.
– Work In progress
Going to find what stages/setups are great to push classes…
[Stage 225-275] Pushing
[Stage 275] Alchemy
Once you unlock the alchemy lab you can start experimenting to discover new recipes. These recipes will give you permanent boosts to your stats across the board, it does take alof of slime juice though to mix everything.
- Anytime you use a blue/green recipe it will reset your experiment list, so you have to experiment all over, however any bonuses you mixed for stay forever.
- Green recipes unlock a new recipe you can focus and mix for.
- Blue recipes get unlocked under certain conditions and are able to be mixed multiple times.
- Double color recipes give you 30% more mixes. So instead of 100, you get 130.
- Faster mixing isn’t a good green recipe to grab right away due to slow scaling, its better to get it later.
- Putting stronger slimes in slime adventure will help increase your JPS which enables you to mix more. Eventually, you will hit a point where you non-stop mix.
- Experimenting takes 3x longer than mixing. So if your normal mix speed is 1 second, it will take 3 seconds per experiment.
- Recipe Re-roll costs 1/10 the cost of minor prestige. So if you can afford multiple minor prestiages, it’s best to do -1 minor prestiage less, so you can afford those rerolls if you need them.
I have broken down how much JPS you would need to sustain each milestone of mix speed.
[Stage 275] Slime Adventure
The higher you push your slime adventure, the more JPS you will get. You also get more essence if you can make it to higher waves, which are used to upgrade your slimes in the adventure.
- Slime bonus stats are tied to how strong they will be in adventure, so it’s always good to make your slime/wifu as evil as possible when leveling them and high as possible.
- Once you make around 100k+ Slime Juice a refill with baby demons, it’s time to replace slimes in adventure for slimes with heavy focus on resource bonuses, because the bonuses you get for your juices scales alot better than attack/speed
(Example: I went from 257k a refill, to 450k when i replaced my slimes with more resource % focused ones)
If you want pure gathering resource slimes, go to special zone 6, it has ONLY gathering resource stats there.
[Stage 275-330] Pushing
There is a few things you should do before you hit 330
- Complete BS 4 and AE 3 challenges, to help you push
- Get a spirit refill wifu from zone 8 or 4 in adventure so when you unlock V2 reproduction you can make it even stronger
- Push wave 100 in battlefield, you need to beat it in order to unlock buildings once you hit stage 330 and defeat the time loop boss thingy
- Do alot of essence runs (essence gear from adventure + essence cook) and reinc alot to push
[Stage 330] Baby Demons
Here we go again, have to kill a quite beefy boss and get through him in order to unlock baby demons which allow you to gain alot of advantages and progression in the game.
Based on Max Demons – Every 1,000 = 1 baby demon
Baby demons take a while to make, you have to put alot of demons into the V2 demon reproduction. This is actually the best point to jump into the Farmer Life 2 Challenge because you can only invest 100 demons into each gathering slot, while having the rest into V2 to make babies, which will take 4-5 days to make anyhow! So killing two birds with one stone.
The following are ways you can benefit from baby demons.
Once you have some hell spirit, you need to push to wave 100 and beat it in order to unlock buildings. Buildings will create units for you, so eventually you will create more than you lose and have a immortal army!
Okay a few things about battlefield buildings.
- You want to balance [Building Level, Building Speed, Building Amount Bonus %].
- I normally split the cost between skeletons and goblins, this is because while having enough skeletons will make my battlefield immortal, having goblins lowers the CoD of skeletons also, so they help work towards that.
[Stage 330-360] Pushing (In-Progress)
Goals:
- Immortal Army (Battlefield)
- 24/7 Plaza
Once you unlock baby demons, you will want to first invest them into hell spirit, since you will want buildings in battlefield, which will spawn you an immortal army once you have enough.
Once you have an immortal army, your next goal should be getting plaza to run 24/7. So your goal will be maxing rows 1-3, and then saving up for save plaza once those rows are maxed.
Stage 330-360, is all about gaining huge bonuses with plaza and normally in this order
- Row 1-3
- Save Plaza
- Row 4 perk perk
- Crits on Second Page
Anytime it takes a day to increase your hell spirit by at least 50%, you should work on it, just because its such a big increase.
[Stage 360] Slime Lab
Slime lab is a great way to increase the stats of the slime across the board, and they became insanely strong, the more you invest into them with pet food which converts into slime food.
You need 100k slime juice to unlock this feature from alchemy lab.
The following table is for how much slime food you need to keep it running.
The following table is how long you would have to constantly 24/7 feed the bars to reach these bonuses.
[Stage 380] Generator V2
Generator v2, is an extremely powerful generator expansion that really powers up your stats across the board, especially when you hit stage 430 and unlock the generator bonus, which helps the original awesome generator we have.
Generator v2, recharges every 12 hours, though you can lower this by leveling mechanist down to 6.
[Stage 415] Synergy
Synergy, is when you get a huge boost to your stats, you have to put baby demons into what you want to increase the points of. Every 1000 points, you unlock the next floor, and have to spend a conversion rate in order to obtain the lower levels.
- Synergy progress numbers go only decrease up to 10% of their original number (10x faster)
In order to push synergy well it’s good to invest by doubling the points everytime you go downwards.
For example: lets say I have 60 demons my synergy would look like this
60
Than when i unlock another synergy ability it will look like this
20
40
This is because the exp required for the next one is normally double of the previous, so you will want to make up for that by making the next one always at least double.
When i unlock the whole page my synergy changes though and looks like this
1
2
4
8
16
16
16
The last bonuses are normally very strong things to focus, so normally I want to have the highest amount of demons i can afford split between them.
[Stage 415-430] Pushing (In-Progress)
You will want to start LTWA challenge right away, it’s a huge benefit to have synergy and will help you push to stage 430.
A few things about LTWA
- Alot of benefits you normally enjoy in a challenge are disabled here to make it harder.
- You have to rebuy exp shop stuff in order to progress smoothly since the exp shop resets in the challenge “only” you don’t have to worry about this effecting your exp shop outside it.
- It normally takes people around 15-20 hours to beat this challenge.
Once you beat LTWA, things will go much smoother, and you can use synergy to do all the pushing you need for 430, you just have to spend enough time investing into your synergy.
[Stage 450 – 475] – Also In Progress
A few things to work on when you hit Stage 450
- Get Slime Lab Running 24/7
- Mix Faster Mixing with Cooking and Mixing until mixing becomes (2.5 mixes a second)
- Once you hit 100,000 slime per refill with baby demons, you will want to replace them with pure res slimes which can be found in SZ6.
This will allow you to push alchemy very hard with all the extra vats you will get and mixing speed, spending a day each on each slime stat can be very beneficial to pushing adventure even further.
ITWA 3 challenge, while you cannot use the reward that well you will want to beat this in order to unlock world boss 4.
Q & A
Answer: When you gain gathering levels it increases the cost, so you might have gained levels when you weren’t looking and as a result thought it wasn’t working properly.
You have to change the number to the left of your screen, your currently trying to buy too many units than you can afford with your current hell mana.
No it doesn’t effect musuem or slime adventure.
Two possiblities, one you have a active faster mixing wifu that is losing mood, or you’re faster mixing finally broke the 1.00 wall and now its reversed, so it says “X Per Second” instead of “X seconds per mix”.
When you can afford the exp bulk, so that you can have the highest tier possible which saves you a insane amount of time manual fishing.
