a fix for the bug when tabbing back into gta IV after tabbing out
Method 1
step 1: right click gta IV on steam, go to properties > local files > browse local files
.
step 2: find GTAIV.exe. Right click it and go to properties.
step 3: go to compatibility and uncheck “run this program in compatibility mode for”
If this method didn’t work for you or you need to run compatibility mode so the game doesn’t break, try the second method.
Method 2
step 1: right click gta IV on steam. go to properties > set launch options.
step 2: type in -windowed. This will play the game in windowed mode, which will allow you to alt+tab. (ignore the other things in the screenshot, but you can put those in if you want more vid mem)
