An easy way get the right Paddle Position

Overview

A guide for properly setting your paddle position (in less than a minute)

Paddle Position Tutorial

In “Paddle Position” Settings (Menu > Settings Gear > Paddle > Paddle Position Gear):

  1. Close your eyes and lightly shake your arms/hands
  2. With your eyes closed, raise your paddle flat in front of your face
  3. Open your eyes, note any difference between actual (in game) and expected (in your mind) paddle position
  4. Freeze your paddle and move your hand to correct your grip on the frozen paddle, then unfreeze
  5. Repeat from Step 1 until there is no difference between your “Eyes closed” paddle and your “Eyes open” paddle after the raise test

Do this for a few different paddle angles to set the perfect paddle position:

  • Main surface flat to your face
  • Thin side of paddle centered in your vision
  • Backside flat to your face
  • Centering the paddle handle to your nose

I couldn’t figure out why all my shots were flying high and the first time I tried the flat face test my paddle was canted 45° to the right

If any of this is confusing let me know in the comments and I’ll try to explain it better
