An easy way to win the game (ie. kill mom’s heart)

Overview

Alright. The purpose of this guide is help players who are struggling to get to/ beat mom’s heart.You need to beat mom (ie. room with giant foot stepping on you) before you can unlock challenges 6 which is crucial to beating the heart. If you can’t beat ‘Mom’ go to bottom of this page for tips, else continue reading to beat the ‘Heart’.1. Go to challenges2. Click on ‘The doctor’s revenge’ (challenge 6)In this setup you basically spew bombs instead of tears. You have unlimited amounts of them (but you can only fire one at a time unless you get upgrades). This allows you to find secret rooms easily by spewing bombs at each side of the room, hence allowing good access to money/health. The bombs are powerful and can kill most weak monsters in one blast. Bosses are also really susceptible to the bombs as well. The bombs have good range (they are thrown, not placed) and can be stopped/moved when it hits a monster/object.Tips1. Avoid devil rooms (ie. don’t get anything in the devil room unless its a lucky foot)2. Don’t use sacraficial rooms. It’s not worth it.3. Keep moving around the room. This will allow you avoid enemies/projectiles.4. Return to rooms with red hearts when you are low on health or before entering into the next level (ie. after beating boss)5. After opening a non-golden chess, quickly back away from it just in case exploding bombs are spawned.6. If you have lots of money invest in slot machine, shop and look for red and soul hearts7. Only pick up the white hearts (these are different to the soul/grey hearts) just before entering into the next level. The reason for this is the white heart will add another heart to your heath (ie. increase health by 1) upon the start of the next level.8. Don’t get close to enemies. The reason being is you’re more vulnerable to enemy attacks and your bomb’s explosion.9. Avoid challenge rooms (ie. dualswords at door)10. There are two tarrot cards in a room you should use up one and save the other.11. Keep items which make you invinsible, increase health or do high damge to enemies (list of items found here http://bindingofisaac.wikia.com/wiki/Items)Using this set up I was able to kill mom’s heart twice in a day as Issac.If you are struggling to beat mom (ie. the foot not heart) follow the above tips as well as.- Don’t do any of the four challenges as they make you vulnerable- I recommend using the following characters if you have unlocked them – Magdeline = excellent health and heal ability (I defeated mom the first time with magdeline) – Issac = good all rounded character – Cain = Has the lucky foot which make gaining items from gambling better- Always try to find the treasure room (ie. gold doors) if you have keys (should be one per level)- Only use bombs to gain access to items/chests and don’t use them offensively (ie. as a weapon)- Sometimes it’s best to face the boss early rather than explore the level, as you can lose health in the process.- If you have lots of money = enter arcade and gamble, buy lots of stuff from shop Bombs = bomb all the sides of rooms to unlock ‘Secret rooms’ Keys = Always enter shop.- Boss/mini boss rooms don’t have secret rooms next to them, so don’t waste bombs.- Always open golden chests if you can- Avoid red chests as they can spawn troll bombs which try to blow you up.- Destroy slot machines (using bombs), when you are low on money or have no use of the machine. The reason for this is that it will generrally spwan some free items such as coins or health.I hope this helps.Good luck 🙂
