+50% gold from Treasure Chests per level.

This ancient will be vital in mid to late game progression as you begin to focus more on the rewards from chests you find than the monsters themselves. Chronos, Ancient of Time

Effects

Adds 5 seconds to the boss timer for every level in Chronos. This is buffed from the previous +2 seconds per level.

Leveling Chronos, Ancient of Time

Leveling Atman, Ancient of Souls

The cost of leveling up Atman is: your current Ancient Summoning cost (Which seems to follow no real equation but grows exponentially, see Ancients for prices.) at level 1, and then costs N^1.5 souls to level up, N being equal to the next level.

It will cost 1312 souls to level this ancient to max.

Dogcog, Ancient of Thrift

Effects

Reduces price of all heroes (hire and upgrade) by 2% per level, max level: 25 (50% reduction in price).

Use

Used in most builds because he is inexpensive and is essentially a 2x gold multiplier when maxed(makes your money go 2x as far). Helps reach the higher leveled heroes faster and essential for late game as the level up prices grow exponentially.

Leveling Dogcog, Ancient of Thrift

The cost of leveling up Dogcog is: your current Ancient Summoning cost (Which seems to follow no real equation but grows exponentially, see Ancients for prices.) at level 1, and then costs N souls to level up, N being equal to the next level.

Bubos, Ancient of Diseases

Leveling Bubos, Ancient of Diseases

The cost of leveling up Bubos is: your current Ancient Summoning cost (Which seems to follow no real equation but grows exponentially, see Ancients for prices.) at level 1, and then costs N souls to level up, N being equal to the next level.

Trivia
  • Bubos, Ancient of Diseases, refers to the Bubonic plague.

Siyalatas, Ancient of Abandon

Effects

+25% to 15% idle DPS (Down 1% every 10 levels).

Idle mode is activated when you don’t activate an ability or click the monster for one minute straight. You may click candies and pumpkins so long as you don’t click them too many times. Exactly what they need to proc and no more.

Using abilities that have a timer greater than 60 seconds will not stop idle mode from activating after 60 seconds.

For getting past the early levels or those who wish to have the game in the background this ancient is extremely useful. With your DPS getting upwards of 50 times or more its base the early floors will be rushed through with maximum efficiency.

Leveling Siyalatas, Ancient of Abandon

The cost of leveling up Siyalatas is: your current Ancient Summoning cost (Which seems to follow no real equation but grows exponentially, see Ancients for prices.) at level 1, and then costs N souls to level up, N being equal to the next level.

This ancient has no maximum level.

Trivia
  • Siyalatas sounds like “See-ya-lata” when pronounced. See you later = Abandon

Bhaal, Ancient of Murder

Effects

Leveling Bhaal, Ancient of Murder

The cost of leveling up Bhaal is: your current Ancient Summoning cost (Which seems to follow no real equation but grows exponentially, see Ancients for prices) at level 1, and then costs N souls to level up, N being equal to the next level.

This ancient has no maximum level.

Trivia
  • Bhaal, Ancient of Murder, is lifted from Forgotten Realms, where a deity of the same name is known as the Lord of Murder, and also known in the CRPG series of Baldur’s Gate I and II as the protagonist’s father.

Morgulis, Ancient of Death

Effects

+11% DPS per Hero Soul Spent (additive)

Morgulis will give 11% DPS and click damage at level 1, 22% at level 2, ect… With only 1 hero soul per level

Morgulis does NOT change the DPS% boost of Hero Souls and instead adds 1% to each soul you “bank” in Morgulis.

Leveling Morgulis, Ancient of Death

Leveling up Morgulis will always cost 1 Hero Soul. It is suggested to leave this ancient as last or nearly last for your summoning. The bonus is minimal and your HS could be spent better elsewhere.

Trivia
  • Morgulis comes from Valar Morghulis, Valyrian for “All men must die” in A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin.

Sniperino, Ancient of Accuracy

Effects

+2 seconds to Lucky Strike duration per level, up to +60s at level 30.

This ancient is very useful for those who use an auto clicker or aim to focus intensely on the game as it will allow you to land tens of criticals per second.

Leveling Sniperino, Ancient of Accuracy

The cost of leveling up Sniperino is: your current Ancient Summoning cost (Which seems to follow no real equation but grows exponentially, see Ancients for prices.) at level 1, and then costs N souls to level up, N being equal to the next level.

Trivia
  • Sniperino is a reference to the word “sniper”, a skilled military shooter that spots and picks off enemy soldiers from a concealed place.
  • The “-ino” part after “sniper” is a reference to a Twitch trend, where many words are ended this way in a comical way (ex: copierino pasterino), brought by the master himself, Kripparian.

Dora, Ancient of Discovery

Effects

For every level in Dora, Ancient of Discovery, 20% is added to the spawn rate of Treasure Chests, up to 1000% at level 50. Treasure chests, by default, have a 1% spawn chance and drop 10x the gold ordinary monsters drop.

Effect with Mimzee, Ancient of Riches

By default chests account for approximately 9.2% of total gold earned so coupled with the high stats of these ancients they will easily become your main source of income. The below calculations are

Average Monster Gold Received = (Monster_chance * Monster_gold) + (Chest_chance * Chest_gold). Where Chest_chance = (1 + Dora_lvl / 5) * 0.1; And Chest_gold =(1 + Mimzee_lvl / 2) * 10

Base: 0.99 * 1 + 0.01 * 10 = 1.09x base monster gold or +9%

With lvl 10 Mimzee and Dora: 0.97 * 1 + 0.03 * 60 = 2.77x or +277%

With lvl 25: 0.94 * 1 + 0.06 * 135 = 9.04x or +804%

With lvl 50: 0.89 * 1 + 0.11 * 260 = 29.49x or +2849%

Leveling Dora, Ancient of Discovery

The cost of levelling up Dora is: your current Ancient Summoning cost (Which seems to follow no real equation but grows exponentially, see Ancients for prices.) at level 1, and then costs N souls to level up, n being equal to the next level.

Trivia
  • Dora’s name comes from Dora the Explorer (Discoverer in some languages).

Kumawakamaru, Ancient of Shadows

Effects

Reduces monsters required to kill per floor.

Indispensable for mid and late game when you spend half of your time looking at low-level monster death animations, he basically reduces this period by 50% making him one of the best ancients to pick up.

Leveling Kumawakamaru, Ancient of Shadows

This ancient only has 5 levels, price to level up is: 10N, where N is the next level. He costs only 140 HS to max out, thus a very good pick early game.

Trivia
  • Kumawakamaru´s name is a reference to a man named Hino Kumawaka, who used stealth to avenge his father in 14th century Japan.

Libertas, Ancient of Freedom

Effects

+25% to +15% gold while idle per level (upgrading effect diminishes 1% every 10 levels).

Idle status takes effect after 60 seconds of not using skills or clicking.

Use

This ancient is often used in idle builds because of the massive gold drop bonus it provides. It stacks with other gold-related ancients, leading to an even greater amount of gold (eg. having a Level 4 Siyalatas [+100% DPS when idle] and a Level 4 Libertas [+100% gold when idle] will let you earn 4 times as much gold while idle). It is very cost effective, so it is advised that one gets it as soon as possible if using an idle build.

Using any skill removes this bonus, except when any skill other than Clickstorm is activated by a Bonus Skill Clickable.

This bonus increases the gold gained from Bonus Currency Clickables but not rubies.

Leveling Libertas, Ancient of Freedom

The cost of levelling up Libertas is: your current Ancient Summoning cost (Which seems to follow no real equation but grows exponentially, see Ancients for prices.) at level 1, and then costs N souls to level up, N being equal to the next level.

This ancient has no maximum level.

Trivia
  • Libertas means freedom in latin.

Khrysos, Ancient of Inheritance

Effects

Khrysos provides the player with some gold after ascending. The number varies from 50 gold to 100 million.

At max level you can buy Natalia, Ice Apprentice to level 2 or Cid, Treebeast, Ivan, Brittany, and The Wandering Fisherman enough to acquire all of their abilities. 150, 100, 125, 75, and 100 respectively. The second requires a mid to high leveled Dogcog, Ancient of Thrift.

Leveling Khrysos, Ancient of Inheritance

The cost of leveling up Khrysos is: your current Ancient Summoning cost (Which seems to follow no real equation but grows exponentially, see Ancients for prices.) at level 1, and then costs N^1.5 souls to level up, N being equal to the next level.

It will cost 143 souls to level this Khrysos to max.

Trivia
  • Khrysos appears to be derived from Chrysus, a spirit of gold in Greek mythology.

Mammon, Ancient of Greed

Effects

Mammon, Ancient of Greed, is a divine power up in the Clicker Heroes game. Leveling up Mammon will increase all gold dropped by 5% per level, stacking cumulatively.

Tactics and Strategies with Mammon

Mammon can be incorporated in all strategies, but it should be mentioned that Mammon grants an increase in ALL gold dropped. This includes gold granted by Hero Abilities, such as Golden Clicks and Metal Detector, and gold granted by other Ancients.

Leveling Mammon, Ancient of Greed

The cost of leveling up Mammon is: your current Ancient Summoning cost (Which seems to follow no real equation but grows exponentially, see Ancients for prices.) at level 1, and then costs N souls to level up, N being equal to the next level.

Mammon has no maximum level.

Trivia
  • Mammon is used as a word for greed or material wealth in the New Testament. The term originates in Aramaic.

Fortuna, Ancient of Chance

Effects

For every level Fortuna has, you will gain 0.25% chance to get 10x gold when the enemy dies; up to 10% chance at level 40.

Platinum coins from Fortuna mixed in with gold ones.

  • This effect is applied before Mimzee is applied.
  • This chance also occurs when using the Golden Clicks ability.
  • The effect works on Treasure Chests and Holiday Charms.

Because the effect works on Treasure Chests, it can give you a huge boost in your gold count when both the chest chance and fortune chance overlap. While not a guarantee, it is not too small of a chance.

Leveling Fortuna, Ancient of Chance

The cost of leveling up Fortuna is: your current Ancient Summoning cost (Which seems to follow no real equation but grows exponentially, see Ancients for prices.) at level 1, and then costs N souls to level up, N being equal to the next level.

It will cost 819 souls to level this ancient to max.

Trivia
  • Fortuna, Ancient of Chance, was the goddess of luck in Roman mythology.

Argaiv, Ancient of Enhancement

Effects

+2% Gild damage per level.

The damage added late game by this ancient is crucial to reaching the late game floors. As gilds increase from the mere 50% increase to upwards of 1000%+ per gild, the damage quickly piles on to help you forge onward.

With many gilds in one unit the damage this ancient gives is rougly +4% per level for that unit (e.g. 100 gilds in unit is 5000% basic dmg, then Agraiv boosts 5000/5200 of the whole units’ damage).

Leveling Argaiv, Ancient of Enhancement

The cost of leveling up Argaiv is: your current Ancient Summoning cost (Which seems to follow no real equation but grows exponentially, see Ancients for prices.) at level 1, and then costs N souls to level up, N being equal to the next level.

This ancient has no maximum level.

Trivia
  • ‘Argaiv’ is ‘viagra’ spelled backward.

Solomon, Ancient of Wisdom

Effects

Increases the amount of Hero Souls you get from Primal Bosses.

While costly to upgrade in the higher levels, the boost in Hero Souls is substantial and highly suggested for anyone going past floor 250 as you will notice the increase in Souls per ascend and in turn progress faster.

Leveling Solomon, Ancient of Wisdom

The cost of leveling up Solomon is: your current Ancient Summoning cost (Which seems to follow no real equation but grows exponentially, see Ancients for prices.) at level 1, and then costs N^1.5 souls to level up, N being equal to the next level.

There is no maximum level for this ancient.

Trivia
  • ‘Solomon is a reference to King Solomon of ancient Israel

Iris, Ancient of Vision

Effects

+1 to starting zones available after Ascension.

You start with Zone 1 and 2 unlocked after ascending, every level put into Iris will push that one farther down. If you wish to get to floor 99 (as to not lose the 1 HS from F100) level Iris to 97.

Leveling this ancient to 50+ or even 100+ will save a large sum of time if you plan to do multiple ascensions per day as you don’t have to grind through the early floors anymore, other than to get a little gold to actually beat the monsters on the final floor you unlocked.

It is suggested to get Khrysos to max level in conjunction with this ancient and depending on your HS and gilds kill a monster some floors below your max to get more heroes leveled up at the start.

Then after ascension stay in Farming Mode, buy the heroes you can afford, then increase the zone (clicking on the picture of the zone after the next) until the monsters don’t instakill, buy the heroes you now can afford and repeat. But once you have Midas on Level 100 and bought Golden Clicks switch to Progression Mode and after the jump to the highest starting zone activate Golden Clicks: while you cannot yet kill that monster, you will get enough gold to buy a hero who can.

Another suggested method is to wait for a piece of food/candy (the things you can click on to get bonus gold) before ascending, then clicking on it as soon as you have ascended, As they give money based on the highest level. Thus you can easily then buy heroes and start your run almost instantly.

Leveling Iris, Ancient of Vision

The cost of leveling up Iris is: your current Ancient Summoning cost (Which seems to follow no real equation but grows exponentially, see Ancients for prices.) at level 1, and then costs N^1.5 souls to level up, N being equal to the next level.

There is no maximum level for this ancient.

Trivia
  • ‘Iris refers to the layer in the eye that dilates based on light in the environment and is colors such as green, brown, blue, or red in rare cases (and many more!).

Juggernaut, Ancient of Momentum

Effects

Juggernaut provides an additive, stacking DPS bonus for being active and clicking at least once per 10 seconds on the monster (does not need to do damage). The effect starts after clicking 3 times and gives 3 stacks (+0.03% DPS). There is no limit to the number of stacks you can gain.

Final DPS = DPS+(DPS*Stacks*%/Click Bonus)
i.e: 10000+(10000*900*0.0005)=14500 DPS. 0.0005=.05%, % bonus from 900 stacks= +45% damage

If you fail to click often enough (10 seconds), your combo stacks will degrade at around 5% per second of non-active clicking (to be depleted by 30 seconds). One second of this degrading can set you back a couple of minutes if the stacks are high enough.

Leveling Juggernaut, Ancient of Momentum

The cost of leveling up Juggernaut is: your current Ancient Summoning cost (Which seems to follow no real equation but grows exponentially, see Ancients for prices.) at level 1, and then costs N^1.5 souls to level up, N being equal to the next level.

There is no maximum level for this ancient.

Trivia
  • Juggernaut may refer to the definition, a huge, powerful, and overwhelming force, or the Marvel character in the X-Men series by the same name.

Revolc, Ancient of Luck

Effects

Increases the chance of getting double rubies from clickable treasures (this depends on which site you are playing). With rubies, you can buy things like: Timelapses, three random gilded heroes or quick ascension (QA’s)

Leveling Revolc, Ancient of Luck

Maximum level is 15. At max level this ancient will give you +15 % chance of double rubies from clickable treasures, when you get a ruby. The HS cost for the next level will always be that level cubed.

Takes 14400 HS to level up Revolc fully.

Trivia
  • Revolc is simply Clover spelled backwards, a reference to the use of four-leaf clovers as lucky charms.
