Overview
This is a basic on Artillery. I won’t go into specific since the game is in Beta and there might be so many new bots and weapons coming. If you’re new to this game and want to know what Artillery is. This might help you.
What is Arts Unit?
Artillery is one of four unit types that screams
True to their name, they’re just like Artillery in wars. Generally they sacrifice Movements and Melee Damage and focusing on their Ranged Damage.
Why Play Arts?
Pew pew bang bang !!!
What Kind of Weapon Arts Have Access to?
Generally Arts have access to almost every type of Ranged Weapons except Beam and some exception. You’ll be able to use almost any guns like semi-auto “pistol”, Burst Rifle, “Assault RIfle”, Gatling Gun, Bazooka, Misile Launcher, Railgun, and many more.
Some of Arts Playstyle
-
Fat, Heavy, Slow Arts
This is what I call “The Big Gun”. Just like their name, they mostly are big, fat, and slow L-sized Bots. Arguably this type of playstyle have the highest damage potential. Typically holding multiple main weapons and powerfull sub. Their main playstyle is sitting in the back and throw every shells, explosive, or whatever type of ammunition they use. Their downsidde are they’re slow and most of the time are stuck in place. That’s a free BP to your enemy Lnd. Due to this, it’s recommended to stay behind friendly line and gather in group.
-
Sniper
Just like the name, they’re sniper. Usually a smaller sized Bots holding Railgun or Breaker. They can fire from far, out of enemies range. Unlike “The Big Gun”, they have better mobility and sometimes are lone wolf. Due to this, Stealth System and Sniper Sight are pretty usefull for Sniper. Not much can be said for this playstyle since it’s your typical sniper. Still, there is one Bot that created just for this playstyle, our beloved Lily EVE.
-
Run n’ Gun
This is not exactly Arts’ playstyle. It’s Run n’ Gun, every type have the ability to do this with only little to no difference. You play Arts like you play Lnd or Airs. You build your bots with slightly higher FLY or WLK and bring several guns with you. Most likely a medium Bazooka or some Rifle. Just be carefull because most likely you won’t be as tough as Lnd and won’t be able to fly as long, fast, and high as Air.
Now, Where to start?
Right now (Beta, 8 February 2021) there are 3 basic Bots for 3 playstyle i just mentioned.
- 1. Toybox
- 2. Sagitarius Maxis
- 3. Lily Rain
A “PAndora’s Box” full of missiles, bombs and other exploding toys.
He is your basic Artirelly unit. His core is a set of Cruise Missile with pretty high base Damage and Range, and there are more missile on his arms. With proper parts you can turn him into a missile storage unit. His base TEC and TGH are pretty decent, so depending on your cost you might be fine with how he really is.
A robot specialized for sniping. Can pick off enemies orbiting in space from the ground. His name is “Ligh-Speed Marksman”.
While he can’t actually “Can pick off enemies orbiting in space from the ground“, he still has great range. His core is a medium-large sized Railgun with decent Damage and Range. Both of his basic arms are normal arms without any built in guns so you can put almost anything there, I’m recommending some form of CQB loadout that can help you run away.
Usually elegant and lady like, her personality changes during battle due to the effects of her “Trance Skirt”. A beautiful but deadly “Innocent Lily”.
One of the poster girl of Cosmic Break. Her core weapon is “Psysicer” and “Psygun”, a main and a sub. A Pair of amazing heatseeking ESP weapon that can piss your enemies off. Her core main, Psygun shoots 4 ESP beam that seeks your target with good range. The downside for this gun is, it shoots projectile at wide angle and has small damage. Her core sub, Psyslicer shoots up to 4 saucers at your sub-locked targets up to 4 enemies (1 for each). It has almost perfect accuracy since it’ll bounce of the ground to avoid obstacles and you don’t have to aim at all as long as it’s already lock in you enemies.
End of Guide
This might be not the best guide around. But i want to make it for anyone new who’s still thinking about investing on Arts. They can be pretty expensive and have completely different playstyle afterall.
If you have any suggestion or maybe think there is something wrong in this guide, please say so in the comment.
