Recipe for a Foundation

First, ‘craft’ a foundation. recipe:
12 nails
5 planks
2 cordage
All this must be in your inventory, if its not, youll have to collect & craft the items first.

Nails- should have got from crates youve found, can’t craft ’em, dont got?, get going, find crates.

Planks-made from wood logs youve chopped from trees. you DID chop some wood, didnt you?
when you do, logs fly directly into your inventory. Look there, they look like logs..ya, logs.
Have enough? you’ll need. 3 logs/wood = 1 planks. so for each ‘plank’, it uses 3 wood.
Always got to have logs/wood, like I say, ABC=always be chopping.

Cordage-made from fibers, 2 fibers=1 cordage, craft enough cordage from fibers in the crafting tab under the hammer icon tab-cordage. It will use the fibers in your inventory to craft cordage when you click ‘craft’ cordage. No fibers = no cordage. Go grab fibers.

Got everything now? craft the foundation now, under the house icon in crafting tab on the right side of your inventory.

Click craft, wait a few moments while it makes the foundation, and it will appear in the weapon menu at the bottom of your screen. Those slots in that menu are numbered 1-8 left to right, to place the foundation, type the corresponding number to the slot the foundation appears in down there. Must be able to count. Use the numbers atop of keyboard, not the NumPad.
The foundation will appear in front of you on the screen in blue see-thru. you can move it around by walking, and with mouse, note the on-screen controls to right of foundation.
When youve got it where you want it, L Click to set it in place. you can move it again by holding End key down, or dismantle it altogether by holding down Delete key.

Craft a Wall

Walls work the same way, have the wood, nails, and cordage, and click craft under walls in the same menu as foundations. If any of the ingredients are red it means you dont have enough of that item to make the wall, foundation..etc. Make planks, an cordage under the hammer icon tab in the crafting menu. Go collect nails from crates.

WALL-
When you click craft the wall, it appears in the same bottom of screen menu as the foundation did, with the weapons. type the corresponding number for the slot its in, it appears in front of you.

Its red while you move it around you cant place it till it turns blue indicating you can place it there. It makes a click sound and snaps to the foundation, L Click now to set it in place. You can still move it when its blue till you L Click its not locked in there. Even if you place it there, but then want to move it-no prob, pick it up again by looking at it, and hold End key, a little circular timer comes up and when done, you can move it around again. L Click again when its blue and thats where you want it.

There it is, done.

To make stairs bring up craft foundation again, stairs are a tic box choice within foundation craft menu. There are wood stairs (corner) in the craft menu, but those are usually for indoors to build multiple story houses. The straight stairs within the foundation menu are usually what you will want to use outside leading up to front door or deck.
For one of the walls, tic the box for a wall with a doorway. so you can get in..ya..duhh
Then youll have to craft a door, its a seperate item, and put it in the doorway of the wall you made with a doorway.
Walls can also be made curved and with windows, they are small tic box choices within the wall craft menu. There are matching curved foundations for the curved walls. use together.
Roofs – same menu, same way, same thing, you should have it down by now, get creative, curved walls, 2-3, 10 storys-
