Overview
A basic fps boosting config for low-end players out there~
Why and how to.
Not all of us obviously have a high-end pc setup and some of us are left behind with old computers even today; or worse, daily an intel igpu(integrated graphics processing unit) laptop/pc..
Living with a low-end/having no dedicated gpu can be quite painful when you try to play games but thanks to valve and it’s source engine we have some wiggle room to play with and get the most out of what we have~
Instructions are straight simple and easy to do so no worries.
All you’ll have to do is copy the commands written in the next section and paste them into a text document and save the text file as a cfg file named autoexec(more on that later), Also make sure you put your video settings to minimum for more fps as we’re aiming for the most performance.
After that you’ll proceed to pasting your ready to use config in your games cstrike cfg folder!
if you’re having problems with finding your games folder or the directory the steam games are stored, right click on your game and select properties, local files, browse local files.
The config itself.
Copy everything below and follow the instructions said above~
Most of the configs look similar and that’s because all of them deliver the same thing as the rest but with a few minor changes here and there.
Keep in mind that some community maps don’t like the “r_3dsky 0” command and will have the sky glitchy or plain black, If you don’t like or enjoy that please change the “0” to “1” before saving your config and you’ll be good to go.
For an overall better experience add “+exec autoexec” in your launch options in your games properties so the config will automatically execute on it’s own.
Results.
For me; Personally i run source on 1024×768 4:3 as it helps me focus but that’s not the point, with this config i gained about 60-80fps in most of the maps that come with the game itself. Not to say that it doesn’t help with community based maps of course~
Hope this was helpful and don’t forget to rate, leave a comment!
those are always appreciated~
