Overview
This is a basic guide to help progression through the game: There is no hints on the achievements, as the developers want people to find those entirely on their own. This guide will be updated as I progress through. Current Progress state: Sewer Grid Puzzle
First Room
Wakey wakey, someone has been messing in your office!
Progressing here is fairly straight-forward.
1. When you wake up, head to the left and turn on the light, this lets you interact with other things in the office.
2. Pick up the keys on the desk, you aren’t going anywhere without those!
3. Notecard next to the Keys: Has a ten letter long word, with three numbers underneath the first three letters. In the bottom left corner is the image of a telephone.
4. Using the ten letters from the notecard, transcribe a 10-digit long code, with each letter representing a number on a telephone keypad. For help, there is a phone nearby for reference.
5. Input 10-digit code into password field of Laptop screen. Watch cutscene! If you’re having trouble, the ten letter word is IYIUYKULAR, and becomes the code 4948958527.
6. Grab water from front of desk (You have to walk around to pick it up)
7. Once you are no longer woozy, head to the whiteboard near your chair, there is a message there now instead of coding! This message is mirrored, flip it around to read it.
8. Head to door, exit!
Hallways
Well that was refreshing, now you’re out in the halls!
1. Head downstairs, the other rooms on the floors are locked, and knocking garners no answer.
2. On the bottom floor , there are three doors. A white one on the left, an ornate one at the end of the hall, and one on the right that has a light panel next to it. For now, head to the white door on the left.
3. Bathroom hallway. Man up, and advance down the flickering light hallway. At the end of the hall, pick up: Sponge, and Rust Remover from the crate of supplies.
4. Head back out to the stairwell, and over to the door with the light panel. Scrub off the rust to reveal a binary code above the lights.
5. Each light represents one of the light panels in this area. The nearest light switch responds to the bulb on the far right, the light switch in the bathroom corresponds to the middle right bulb, the middle floor light switch with the mddle left bulb, and the top floor with the far left bulb. Each switch needs to be in either the ‘on’ or ‘off’ position, according to what the panel above the bulbs say.
6. If you’re having trouble: Top floor light needs to be off, second floor light needs to be on, bathroom hallway light needs to be on, and bottom floor light needs to be off.
7. Head through the now unlocked door into the next room!
Records Room
Alright, this one is fairly short!
1. Look down, pick up flashlight.
2. Pick up key.
3. Head to the back left corner of the room, looking about head level *snort* for a binder that is turned on its side instead of spine out. Pick this up.
4. Back up, around the bookshelf in the middle of the room. Looking towards what you uncovered, look down and to the right slightly. You’re looking for a binder that is MUCH clearer to read than the others.
5. Congrats, you can now leave the room and the building! Head out into the hallways, then turn right and head through the ornate doorway!
City Streets
This one took me the longest, so I’ll be detailed here.
1. First off, head to the right for a little bit. You should see a tire roll in front of you, when you do look to the left of where it was at a wheelbarrow. On it, you should see a white object of some kind. Go to the other side, and pick up the Iron Cutter and Speaker. Also, from the wall where the tire appeared, there is another message written in mirror-writing, so flip it around again to get the next bit of advice.
2. NOW. Instead of continuing on, HEAD BACK TOWARDS THE BUILDING YOU CAME OUT OF. Back up the hill, clinging to the right side. Tucked into the far back right corner, behind a pile of sandbags, is a twist of rebar. You need the Iron Cutters to get it.
3. Time to get introduced to a mechanic in this game that I find aggravating. SPAM CLICK THIS REBAR. Down at the bottom of the screen, partially obscured by the glare from your flashlight, is a progress bar. Fill it up to get Rebar!
4. Now head back down the hill, and from where the tire appeared, pick up the gas can to get Jerry Can. You’ll need it in a few minutes.
5. Head back out onto the street to catch the next cutscene.
6. IMMEDIATELY HIT LEFT SHIFT. This moves you into sprint mode, denoted by an icon in the bottom left corner. You are NOT alone here, and need to avoid this pursuer. He can take you down in one shot, but he is easy to juke around as he slows down to power up for a swing or kick. Look below for where I get this guy stuck so I don’t worry about him.
7. Immediately sprint for the alleyway across from you, and hook a right to progress into a small courtyard. Across from you is the entrance to a graveyard, which you need to run through to get to the other side.
8. In the graveyard, immediately turn left to see a trough where there is a Hose. Snag it, you’re almost ready for it. Once you have it, head through the graveyard to find an exit past a small booth. (If you’re having trouble getting through the graveyard, make sure you aren’t trying to go over a grave – even the dirt ones will prevent you going over them.
9. Once you’re out of the graveyard, head to the right to find something that looks like a blocky yellow lawnmower. (I think it’s a streetcleaner). You can now siphon Fuel from this bad boy here. (spam click)
10. Once you have the fuel, head back to the place where the cutscene ended. As you come out of the alley, you should see another blocky yellow device. This is a pump, and you’ll need to fill it with fuel before trying to start it on the other side. (spam click). This triggers a cutscene where water leaves a sewer.
11. Head back to where you got the fuel, only this time head to the building ahead of you on your left instead of turning right. You can’t open the door, but there is conveniently a window open! Interact with the window to get Office Key. Now, head inside!
Inside:
A: Once inside, head into the second room, pick up the Desk Key from on top of the desk. Turn to your left and rummage through the filing cabinets until you find the one with a portfolio of people.
B: The second to last one is your character, with his address that you needed! Copy that on down, then head outside.
C: Once outside, turn to the left and look along the ground until you find a sewer grate. You can now head down into it!
