Basic Guide To Hydra for Warface

Basic Guide To Hydra

Overview

A basic guide on what you need to know to finish off Hydra smoothly

Introduction

In this guide i’ll be telling you how to finish all 20 rounds of Hydra and giving out each detail on what to do each round, I know that this spec ops can be challenging, especially for newbies, and i know a lot of newbies that makes mistakes all the time, like not positioning right, didn’t buy the necessary things, always buys the turrets at an early round and so on

So the most basic team composition for Hydra is
2x SED
1x Engineer
This is the team composition we’re gonna play as as they’re the easiest and don’t need direct communications at all

The SEDS are supposed to be the one that defend the terminal and fend off enemies, The Engineer is the support, They’re the one who can revive and give armor to the SEDS, Killing the enemies on up top next to the turrets, Roaming and collecting the resources, They’re the most important part of the team

Before we get started, You need to get to know on a few things first

1.Resources
On your top right there’s your resources count,

they counted as a currency to help you defend the
terminal, the resources are the most important thing in Hydra, without it you’ll fail, they can be
used for many purposes such as repairing the terminal only once, purchase a rocket launcher,
activate allied turrets, activate deadly lasers and ballistic shields or doors. I’ve seen so many
noobs who just bought turrets thinking they will help, Don’t buy them early on, only buy it if you’re
in a sticky situation like if there are too many enemies next to the terminal or you need a distraction
for the enemies on up top the platform, the SEDS are already good as they are, to earn more
resources as you play, do jump kills as doing Mini-Achievements makes you earn 10 resources per
kill, so do jump kills as you’re killing cyborgs or normal enemies

2.Positioning
Im sure noobs would just like to wonder around and don’t care about the terminal at all, that’s not
what you’re supposed to do if you’re a SED, your job is just stand on one open door and kill
everyone on sight, leave the roaming to the Engineer, also. Don’t be scared to just fire away and
do jump kills as there are a lot of enemies, SEDS are much more stronger than humans they have
a lot of armor and can soak up a lot of damage, this is also another noobs mistake, they tend to
just stick to cover and tap fire, SEDS Machine gun or Micro gun are mostly always accurate so
just hold and fire away

Wave 1

You just started the mission, there’s nothing special going on, just a bunch of Cyborg you can fend off by doing jump kills so you have more resources 2 SEDS on each side and The Engineer can do whatever they want, don’t buy anything yet until round 5

Wave 2

Now Screamers gets added into the mix, they can’t knock out SEDS cause SEDS can’t be knocked down, so watch out for The Engineer as they can get knocked down by them, other than that, still nothing special

Wave 3

Now the first platform is raised, you might want to buy yourself a rocket launcher but don’t use it yet, you’ll use that for later at round 6 for the energy shields, but other than that, nothing different SEDS on each door guarding the terminal jump killing the normal enemies or cyborgs, when it feels like the enemies shorten, The Engineer should go and look for 1 box of resources cause there’s only 1 for now until round 6

Wave 4

Now The Jetpack Infantry’s are mixed into the wave, they fly in into the top balcony, they’re either spec ops or demomen, other than that, nothing different than the third wave

Wave 5

Now it’s back to The Cyborgs, along with Kamikazes, either turning the lasers on or off is up to you as long as you think you can defend it, nothing will go wrong if The SEDS stay in their positions, and i recommend you to buy a Rocket Launcher if haven’t already cause you’ll get 1 more ammo after the round ends

Wave 6

Now the second platform is raised, from now on turn on the first laser door and close one of the doors, make sure you and your teammates already have the rocket launchers, cause there are energy shields on up top you need to shoot, so you can shoot the assaulters on up top, From now you can leave 1 enemy alive, so The Engineer can roam and collect resources

Wave 7

It’s mostly the same stuff as wave 6 without the energy shields, as before turn on the laser and close one of the doors, the roster of the enemies will probably be Spec Ops or Demomen, CQB or Assaulters, and Kamikazes, Leave 1 enemy alive and let The Engineer roam and collect the resources

Wave 8 – 9

From this point on, this can happen randomly, either the terminal is gonna be gassed or not, and also red smokes will start to appear on below the platforms, it’s just a smoke not gas so don’t worry passing it, the smoke can also happen randomly, the roster of the enemy will probably Spec Ops or Demomen and Enforcers, as always you can leave 1 enemy alive so The Engineer can roam and collect resources

Wave 10

Now the third platform is raised, and a Heavy Gunner is joining in, you can either let The Engineer and 1 SED go to kill the Heavy Gunner and leaving 1 SED to defend the terminal or you buy a turret so it can defend the terminal and all 3 Players left to kill the Heavy Gunner, it works either way, you don’t need to buy a door or the lasers, there are only Enforcers or Cyborgs Beta 2.0

Wave 11 – 13

From this point on, A random blackout can occur when the rounds ends or starts, you can’t close doors, turn on the lasers, or activate the turrets when a blackout occurs, so be on the lookout, always turn on the power immediately, if you’re the closer one to the power box, immedieately turn it back on, your whole team can fall apart if you’re not being careful, otherwise the enemy roster is getting stronger, There’s gonna be Spec ops or Demomen or Exterminators, Assault and Enforcers, close off 1 door and turn on 2 lasers on each side, leave 1 guy alive on top so the engineer can roam and collect resources

Wave 14

If you haven’t bought a rocket launcher, then buy one, you’ll need it for the next wave, other than that nothing changes from the last wave

Wave 15

Now the fourth and final platform section is raised, there’s gonna be an enemy chopper so buy one turret to disctract the normal enemies on top of the platform and ready up your rocket launcher to take it down, if there’s a rocket launcher box that’s close open it cause it will take more than 2 rockets to take it down, also be careful of the normal enemies on top, you can be lucky and get normal Assaulters or Demomen, or you can get Exterminators which shreds your whole entire health within seconds even if you’re a SED so be careful and use covers to take them down, your priority should be the chopper first, after it got taken out, get rid of the enemies on up top

Wave 16 – 19

From this point on, hopefuly it’s smooth sailling and you have gathered enough resources to survive for the last 4 waves you’re gonna be facing, the random events from the last waves like blackout and the terminal getting gassed can happen, so try to adapt, from this point on, close off 2 doors and the 2 lasers on each side, If you and your team do well there won’t be any problems from here on out, if your resources is below 3000, you or your team might wanna collect some more for safety, if your resources is more than 3000 you should be good and dont need to collect more resources from here on out.

Wave 20

Alright, you survived the last 19 waves and this is the final wave, a Blackwood cruiser has arrived and it is the last boss you’re gonna to take out, you’re gonna be on a different platform and get to the outer ring to take down that ship

2 of the SEDS are gonna be on each top right and left corner and take out the enemies that will try to stop the engineer, The Engineer in the middle getting ready to collect the rockets from 3 of the boxes from left to right, If you’re a SED your job is just to shoot and fend off the normal enemies and cyborgs,

leave the rockets to the engineer, only collect the rockets near you when the engineer is on the other side, this last wave is the hardest and the toughest, If you’re a SED and you see an indication that the missile from the ship is about to hit you, run to the side of you, if you’re on the left side run towards the right side and vice versa, focusing on taking down that Ship’s Artilery and hopefully none of the SEDS or The Engineer dies, There’s 2 Artillery so you’re gonna be taking it out one by one, hopefully if nothing bad happens you can take down 2 of the Artillery without any problem, after the 2 Artillery is taken out, that’s it you beat the operation.

The Hydra guns will be raised and it will destroy the cruiser entirely, a Mantis jet comes and takes out the whole Hydra guns entirely and that’s it, you beat Operation Hydra

End Words.

Of course, This isn’t the most reliable or the quickest way to play Hydra but what im giving you is the basic terms and giving you info on what to do and what’s gonna happen next, and yea of course you can experiment and play with different classes if you’re already good enough, like this one for example

if you beat Hydra once, you’re gonna be more comfortable on playing it again and aware on what’s gonna happen next, for example maybe if youre the one who always keep playing as a SED, you can try to play as the engineer, if you’re playing the engineer in the most safest way you can try to roam while there are enemies around cause the resources starts spawning as soon as the first platform section is raised, you also gonna have to adapt on getting more resources and therefore saving more time so you can get more crowns, and remember to always do jump kills, You also get rewards for just beating it once by the end of the week, hopefully you’ll be able to get one of the permanent hydra weapons, thank you for reading my guide, have a good day.
