A simple guide
Introduction
I read many tips on the discussions and I read the beginners guide, but those didn’t help me as I kept losing my fighters and couldn’t make it work.
After some time of trial and error, I’ve come up with a method that works for me, which is presented in this guide.
This method presented here offers the most probable chance of success in every choice. This means that if you follow it strictly you most probably won’t lose fights, but if you do, it will be rarely so.
I’m not telling people how to play the game, I’m sure there are many strategies to win. I’m presenting one that I guarantee that works if you follow it strictly.
First City
Select ex-scout as starting character
STAFF:
1) Hire only 1 scout with the maximum network possible
2) Hire 2 doctors: 1 should have maximum injury possible, 1 should have maximum sickness possible
3) Hire NO trainers
4) Hire NO blacksmiths
FIGHTERS:
Recruit the maximum amount of fighters, because the more fighters you have, then the higher your chance of success in quests and the more you will be able to participate in fights to earn denari, but only recruit fighters that are well-rounded. What does well-rounded mean?
They should all have A or B in all stats, or at the bare minimum they worst status have to be C or C-. Usually these are the first fighters in the recruiting list.
FIGHTS:
If the average level of your fighters is lower than the average level of your opponents’s fighters, then you should send your fighters to exhibitions instead.
Fighter Level -> His Ideal Opponent in Exhibition
Level 1 -> Panther
Level 2 -> Tiger
If they are the same level of your opponent, then you may fight them in the arena.
Only choose LOW, MILD and AVERAGE fights.
WAGING:
Always wage maximum side bet on your fighter and also always give him 50% of the purse.
EQUIPMENT:
Give each gladiator the weapon with highest damage available. If two weapons deal the same damage, then give them the one that is their specialty. If none is their specialty and all give the same damage, then your choice doesn’t matter.
Keep selling and buying weapons in the market because their durability decreases.
WALKTHROUGH:
Don’t use sick or injured gladiators, use only the healthy ones. Let the sick and injured rest. Take loans if you need to. Always fight if you have healthy gladiator available but only participate in the fights mentioned, don’t participate in STRONG and MASSIVE.
Don’t worry about taking loans. Take them if needed. You can do quests to repay your debts and these quests are quite cheap (5000 denari).
