Overview
Along your journey, gaining experience and unlockable characters can help you progress in the storyline. This guide simply puts you in the mindset of scouring the game for unlockable content and grinding for achievements!
Overview
So, as I’ve mentioned in the title, this game has areas you can 100% (i.e. complete). Now, this alone doesn’t grant you an achievement, but the idea behind it will. In the map overview, you can see a percentage. If there are no events or quests left to complete in that area, a 100% will appear there on the screen. Completing quests and progressing in the storyline will likely increase the percentage toward 100%. If that percentage idles just a little bit below 100%, there is probably an escort or travel quest that includes the area in question…and the quest simply starts in a different area.
To activate quests or start events, click on the (!) mark when you’re IN an area.
You may scroll through types of events, such as:
- slaying monsters
- collecting items
- escorting an NPC to safety
- starting an “arranged” battle
Just continue nibbling away at the quest list to 100% an area. In doing so, you gain vital experience. Some complicated escort missions, or bundles of similar quests will unlock new playable characters and what-not. Beware of arranged battles, as they are usually assume you are at a high-level with many skilled party members…
Notes
Please note that when attempting to complete “Slay Monster” quests, you can’t simply go to the “Fight” menu and spawn monsters. To begin the quest, go to the quest menu, click on a specific monster type and choose start. Go back to the (!) Quest icon when you have defeated the requested number of monsters.
