Overview
This isn’t your grandad’s guide, this is batman’s guide. So stay seated, stop doing other sht and listen sonny boy. I will tell you everything you need to know about this game and how not to be a scrub. This guide is still being developed.
Basics
Controls: Are you seriously here for controls? Look at the dam menu for controls. This isn’t pen state.
What is this game? You play DayZ son? H1z1? Some other open world survival? Well ♥♥♥ that sht, doesn’t matter here. This is a pvp game my boy. You loot some sht, you kill some sht, then you rinse and repeat.
GI: Global inventory. This is in the main menu character screen. Little peter pan treasure chest lookin icon. All your sht goes here. You loot sht, then put it in there. You die, you get sht from here. Its an infinite safe space for all your sht.
Skill tree: This makes your character handsom. As you get experience, click something. Doesn’t matter what order or anything. Do what you want. Just click whatever sounds the most useful or in the line of what you want. But utilize this, don’t let your xp just sit there.
Skins: If you don’t know what a skin is adjfkhasdflkjahsdflka
Trading: So apparently the in game currency $$ isn’t cool enough for these hipsters. They had to create there own currency. DX = Bandages DX. The red bandages. If you want something from another player expect to be charged for DX, and alot of them. There are no set prices. Players will try to scam you at every turn. Look around to get your own understanding of the market values. A decent idea would be get a notepad and take notes of the items your a interested in and then write down the prices to find the average.
Think that covers the basic sht.
Looting and sht
Alright first things first. Your global inventory (GI). You can access this bad boy from anywhere. Just log the fk out, and store/retrieve your sht.
What to loot:
Water / Food doesn’t matter. The only thing you should pick up to fill that tiny stomach of yours is MRE’s. If you get hungry, just log and grab and MRE, or if you are on a PVE server hit F10 and buy one from the marketplace. They only cost $1000 and you can get anywhere from $400 – 16,000 from 1 zombie. (If your lucky enough)
SPEAKING of pve servers. You must go to Private servers, then set the filters for Server settings: Check PVE: check. And go on a 10 pop server. Don’t waist your time on a pvp server looting unless you are bored and like some coke with your cookies.
What to loot? Refer to the Guns/items section.
Guns / Items / And sht
GUNS
Going to sort these by type. I am not including any STANAG based guns besides the Sig and L85 because IMO they are terrible in comparison and should only be used for zombies. This does not include the Red Scar, the stats have changed and I have not tested it. These are what I find good and not mentioning the trash, sorry if your favorite bb-gun isn’t mentioned.
Assault
- L85 – Can’t go wrong with this one.
- Sig Sauer 556 – Sexy, well rounded. I started with this gun but moved onto the L85.
- AK – This is a powerful beast. My favorite for close to mid range.
- FAMAS – This gun is under appreciated but is good at all ranges and even near sniper distance. Pop in a 50rnd mag and make scrubs crawl back to their momma.
Semi/burst
- AN94 – 3 burst ak. Good gun for med – long range. 100 drum is a plus.
- FAL – Great gun mid – long range.
- Mosin – About the same as the FAL.
LMG
There are only 2 LMG’s M249 and PKM. I prefer the PKM over the M249. 1 clip can take down a mega, while the M249 for some reason requires around 130 bullets.
Snip-snaps
This is snipeZ so have to mention these.
There are lots to choose from and they are all good. Tactical scope is my favorite for all of them. The Swiss 8X is also a very good one.
My favorites: Blazer, Mauser, OTS, VSS, and SVD. Not in any specific order these, but OTS is my favorite. Just my preference.
Pistols
Desert eagle – I love it. It only takes 2 – 3 shots to kill someone. I always have this along side my sniper’s. 7 Rounds, little recoil, good fire rate, and accurate.
BR93 – Auto pistol, sexy all around.
Melee
The Brotherhood – 1 hits zombies, slow swing tho. Use this untill you get double melee damage from skill tree.
Katana – Also great, fast but 2 hits per zombie until double melee damage.
How to kill scrubs – Don’t be a scrub
Well for now your going to have to settle for not being the worst.
First things first, when you spawn in to the game. You are glowing like a dildo under the cover when someone walks in. You can’t just turn it off and yes everyone can see the glowing light and knows what it is. Once you spawn, run to the nearest cover and look around while you wait for the glowing to stop.
Your right side is the right side. Look how your character holds the gun. He/she is right handed. So if you peak with the right side, less of your body sticks out, smaller hitbox for the enemy, harder for them to shoot you.
How to peek correctly
How to peek like an idiot
Don’t peak left unless its an absolute must. Otherwise move into better cover and find a way to peak right.
Theres no point in using a riot shield if you don’t crouch.
Prone is ok, but crouch is better. When you go prone, you are stuck for a short time. There is a delay before you can get your movement back after standing up from the prone position. This is not very long, but long enough to die. Only prone when it makes since to stay stationary. Crouch lowers your hitbox, and you can still move or even stand up to sprint. If you are the guy who lays prone in the grass, everyone can see you and you look rediculous. eg; prone in a tree is good, prone in a grassy field is bad.
Jump, jump, jump. Make it muscle memory to hop around like your walking on hot coals.
Never stand still. You are an incredibley easy target. If you must open your inventory do it while in good cover, or while moving.
CLIPPING.. this is a big one because not many people realize its happening. Especially in the prone position. You can clip on invisible terrain, or even grass/leaves. There will be no impact effects, but your bullets aren’t going where your aiming. I have tested this with several different senarios. Windows are also buggy, do not stand right against it, stand back a bit and that seems to fix it. If you are snipping and missing your shot when you think it should have hit, odds are your clipping, move a bit and try again.
Third person: Try to stay away form first person view.. You can utilize third person better in almost every senario and it allows your to peak without your character sticking out like a boner at the beach.
Riot shields. These alone will save you 80% of the time. Know how to place them. To use the riot shield properly, you have to click it twice. Once to bring it out, the other to place it. So when rushing somone and you have little cover, have it in your hands and the hologram out. Once they peak or start shooting place it and crouch.
Never place it and stand behind it, always crouch. I have shot countless players through the peak hole. And again ONLY peak to the right side..
If you have mouse hot keys, utilize them. My mouse is sht but it has the forwards and backwards buttons on the side for web browsing. I binded DX and riotshields to these.
Use grenades, flashes, but not smoke. Smoke grenades are a joke in this current state. They are good for grouping zombies, or maybe getting someones attention, but thats all. Throw either Flash + grenade or Flash + Flash.
Flank. If your running an assault outfit, and a sniper has you targeted, utilize riot shields and cover to move out of his line of sight. Then proceed to flank around and come at him from behind. It takes a while to walk around, and he may have moved by then yes, but 8 out 10 times he will still be sitting there looking for you or someone else. The important part is that he doesn’t know where your at anymore, therefor reseting your engagment.
Do not camp… It is important to move around, either small amounts while looking around, or moving to another position. If you shoot your gun, move, period. Do not sit in the same spot because “This is a great position, I have a great view”. Someone you killed or missed will come up from behind or simply get the upperhand on you. You can come back to the spot your were, but make sure you atleast move position and then come back.
Reset your engagment. If you are up against someone and you seem to just be tossing the ball back and forth, pull back, flank around, and start the engagment again.
Don’t be impatient to get the kill. Don’t rush in guns blazing. Don’t step too far out of cover to be the one in your group getting the kill. This will do you more harm than good.
Communicate. If you are in a group you need to communicate. Do not say “Player! By the tree!” in the middle of a forrest. Use North, East, South, West. Because your north, is their north as well. Left and right, is not the same. So example, “Player, south east corner of the medical building heading south along the road” Give them clear information. If you scream in the mic “PLAYER HES RUNNING LIKE LEFT OF WELL TO YOUR LEFT OF THE RED HOUSE WITH THE FENCE” it’s not going to make much sense.
If you have a group, utilize your numbers. Don’t run in a straight line all close together. Spread out a bit, stay within line of sight as much as possible. Move one at a time cover to cover, surround your target rather than spearhead them.
Know your role, know your distance, know your surroundings.
Will add more soon. Sniper guide on the way.
Zombie’s, Mega’s, and Freaky alien Mega.
And so is the rest of the AI. But they have a purpose and that is XP / GD
Mega’s: These beefy fkers are not hard at all. If you have meds on you, there is no reason you should die to one.
Strategy:
They take 100 – 140 LMG rounds, You can also use STANAG100rnd C-mag or AK 5.45 drums
Once you start shooting, don’t stop. Their health regen is very rapid.
Higher ground
Get the aggro by shooting it or making noise. Hop on top of a car, barracade, or anything to stay out of reach. Some cars are too small, and it can still reach you. Humvee’s, tanks, ambulances, and firetrucks work well. You can also use the propeller on helecopters.
Tank
You can melee them, but it takes a while and more meds than its worth. Every 3 hits use a DX.
You can also just walk backwords spraying while again poping a band-aid every 3 hits.
This is very similar to the mega, but more HP. Takes around four 100rnd mags.
Get your as to emerald peak. He can spawn between 22:00 – 4:00 after which he will die. To check the server time hit the Esc key and its on the bottom left. He doesn’t spawn everytime, I am still testing to figure it out. He drops all kinds of skin boxes and snipers. But usually just some Tar’s and AUGs.
If you have more information on getting him to spawn post below and I will add it. Players say that you have to be 200m away but it makes no difference. I have tested it, he spawned for me at 2:00 while was in the cage.
XP, GD, and that kinda garbage.
XP = Experience – This is used for the character’s skill tree. You get this from killing zombies, mega’s and players.
GD = Game Dollars – This is the games in-game currency. Not to be confused with GC. You can gather this from killing zombies, or players.
GC = Gold Coins – This is game credits you buy with your momma’s credit card. Also know as pay to be lazy. But, this is not to be confused with pay to win. This game is NOT pay to win. All items with GC can be obtained through free gameplay.
To farm XP / GD head to a large city such as Boulder or Campos. Walk around slaughtering everything that moves. Another idea is to run a looting rotation killing the mega’s and zombies at each location. Refer to the Loot Rotation section for an idea, or make your own.
GC – There is only one way to obtain this bad boy and thats with real money. If you don’t want to purchase it, use in-game items to trade for the GC item you want.
Extra’s or some sht
