Overview
In this guide I want to discuss about a possible sans battle in a not-genocide run.
First of all: how could sans have 2 battle themes?
Simple, he doesn’t.
Why? I’ll explain.
People say sans’ battle theme is Megalovania, which is half true, half not.
Megalovania is a music composed by toby fox, and present in 3 different “locations”.
1) In the Earthbound’s halloween Hack(still by toby) Megalovania is the battle theme of the final boss: an evil doctor, from what I know he kills and is a really bad person.
2)In Homestuck(a webcomic) Megalovania as a music is encountered along with a new character; from what i know bout it, it kills and is a really bad thing.
3)Undertale
Now think about it. In the first 2 cases Megalovania is used for fighting against bad beings…..but in Undertale you get to fight sans, who isn’t a bad being. Who’s the bad being during sans’ battle? YOU, the player deciding to kill everybody.
So, I wouldn’t call Megalovania sans’ battle theme, but YOUR battle theme(YOUR referred to who does a genocide route).
With that being said, what’s sans’ battle theme?

I’ve said that “The Song That Might Play When You Fight Sans” is sans’ real battle theme.
Not present in genocide, so is it possible that sans can be fought in pacifist or neutral?
If yes, where?
I found a little clue……maybe…
Undertale is played when returning the grey ruins after the core.
The Choice is played during a neutral ending,meeting sans at the last corridor.
This made me think of some ways to maybe meet and fight sans(NOT GENOCIDE) :
1) Somewhere,somehow, in the ruins(grey)
2)Somehow in the Last Corridor during neutral/pacifist route
Or maybe Toby just inserted the music in the official soundtrack to make us understand Megalovania is not sans’ real theme.
Either way, if someone would help and make some reaserches with some ideas/combinations, that would be appreaciated.
