Beat Saber Guide

The Biggest Secret to Success

Practise, practice and much practice, never stop grinding! (i’m serious, don’t give up)

Before You Start Playing

If you want you can to some exercise and streching before you start playing Beat Saber.
It makes your body more loose and steady if you play Beat Saber.
Starting directly into Beat Saber might hurt your muscles or different body parts.

Don’t Rush Improvement

There are no crazy secrets of how to get any better in Beat Saber because the best improvement is just play play play, don’t go beyond your limits because that really is pointless, also if you are hurt you immediately should stop and rest.

Beat Saber Scoring System

You should be familiar to the entire scoring system in Beat Saber, it should be one of the first things a new player should learn and really keep in mind.
It’s important to know how you need to cut a block, which angle you need to cut etc…

Player Height

The player height is a important thing to some people it may help you and it may not, depends honestly…

Basically you can change your height in the settings of Beat Saber (i will add images soon)
You should not make it really low or really high, it really does not make you better.
Just go for something that you think is good (don’t do it too low and not too high)

Maps

It does not matter how good you are, what rank you are currently there are always maps that could be impossible for you to pass.

You should not try the same map over and over again, try some other maps.
After a while try the map again, maybe it get’s better.

If you know that you’re not able to beat that map, you immediately should stop with trying and continue playing other maps.

I recommend playing slower songs too before playing the hard ones, make sure that you are 100% ready for the harder songs after all if you play the harder songs right away there’s a good chance that you won’t hit anything and really get frustrated
Try and consistently score between 105 and 110 on each note within the song you enjoy that are not overly challenging

Tracking

Your body may be blocking one lighthouse from seeing one of your controllers. Here are some steps that may help improve tracking.

1. Move into the corner of your playspace.
2. Rotate your body 45 degrees so that your lighthouses can see both controllers.
3. Rotate the room within Beat Saber’s settings to compensate, so that you appear facing forward within the game.

This can apply to oculus sensors too.

Playing Ranked

You can play ranked whenever you want, there are easy ranked maps always on scoresaber or whatever.
Some of them are really friendly and good, if you decide to play ranked i really recommend doing easy maps.
However we are talking about ranked, frustration and anger…
You should not head for a certain position, it’s pointless and it is really frustrating.
It’s all about fun, you can improve your kill while playing over and over again, without pushing your skill and going over your limit.

Sabers

Have Fun

At the end of the day, this is a game. The important part is that you have fun and enjoy playing it. If you hate playing this “one ranked map that sucks but is worth so much PP”, then simply don’t play it. Don’t try to force yourself to play songs you dislike and play however you want. It’s when you have fun that you’ll see the time fly by and you’ll improve the most. If you don’t care about rank, it’s all good, just have fun
