Overview
changing your height
player.setscale/setnpcheight
player.setscale [number] is the command used to change height.
setnpcheight can also be used but it’s buggy and often resets when loading a save.
player.setscale 1 is default, in imperial units, likely 5’9″ – 5’11” realistically.
every 0.05 is 3 inches
player.setscale 1.25 = 7’2″
player.setscale 1.20 = 6’11”
player.setscale 1.15 = 6’8″ (Legate Lanius Height)
player.setscale 1.1 = 6’5″
player.setscale 1.05 = 6’2″
player.setscale 1 = 5’11”
player.setscale 0.95 = 5’8″ (Sunny Smiles Height)
player.setscale 0.9 = 5’5″ (Pit Boss/Floor Manager Height)
player.setscale 0.85 = 5’2″
player.setscale 0.8 = 4’11”
player.setscale 0.75 = 4’8″
(PLEASE NOTE DIFFERENT SOURCES SHOW DIFFERENT HEIGHTS SO THE IMPERIAL CONVERSION SHOWN COULD BE SOMEWHAT SHORTER OR TALLER)
—
(THE HEIGHTS CHANGE DEPENDING ON WHAT HEIGHT THE PLAYER CHARACTER IS BELIEVED TO BE)
advantages/disadvantages
Tall Advantages:
-Faster
-Do more damage
-More reach in melee
Tall Disadvantages:
-Larger hitbox, easily shot.
-Depending on how tall, sneaking ineffective.
__________________________________________________
Short Advantages:
-Hard to shoot, smaller hitbox
-Sneaking often easier
-Glitch where if up close, enemies shoot over your head, good for melee
Short Disadvantages:
-Slower
-Less damage
-Less melee reach
why this is somewhat ♥♥♥♥
-there is no wrestling system to help manlet builds
-there is no weight slider that would more realistically affect melee damage
what ya boi thinks
i always go short, for multiple reasons:
-melee/unarmed more fun, have to exploit footsies and know when to strike if i don’t want to die horribly.
-i have extra reasons to complain about there not being a weight slider in fallout new vegas.
-getting shot less likely, useful since i have a damage modifier.
-i really like dwarves, they’re really epic.
