The Nordic Soldier Platoon [ NSP ] Guide on Face-Offs
Introduction
I’m asuming you know what Face Offs is but just incase you don’t let me give you a basic idea..
Face Off is a playlist in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. The playlist involves three versus three, two versus two and one versus one gametypes. The gamemodes are: Kill Confirmed, Team Deathmatch, Domination and Search & Destory. ( Free for All is only available in one versus one ).
In this small tutorial i will explain to you my thoughts, actions and planning that goes on during my Face Offs playtime. But why should you listen to me? Well, i have over 1.000 hours of Face offs playtime and along with that over 9.000 hours in the Call of Duty Series. When playing Face Offs I always play with my friend, Pexiz, who leads NSP with me. During our playtime we haven’t lost more than 20 Face Offs games. We’re both well cordinated and think alike. Along with that have we made our own shout outs for both Erosion and Aground. But if you don’t want to make your own there are some public MLG images you can find online..
It seems confusing at first but after a couple of games ( preferably having these images on a second monitor ) it becomes natural. It’s really effective, especially in Clan Wars and Scrims. It also adds some exitement and a pro gaming feel to the experience. I definetely recommend this if you play with your friends.
Face Offs
Winning depends on your base skill, your understanding of the map being played and the opposing team. You adjust accordingly, if they seem bad you go full on aggressive.
( EROSION ) Run from spawn to spawn, use the middle. You can spawn trap Rufus and Green ( Shout Outs, See in Instructions ) from the Broken side of Middle Down. If you then jump over Broken and stay on the bridge before entering Rays you can get a clear visual on all three Marble entrances.
( AGROUND ) If you’re staying on White Top he will Spawn in Cave, Beds Stairs and if you’re to close to the round object on White he will spawn chimney, so watch out not to get too aggressive. Same goes with Rust, he will spawn Chimney Left and Right if you stay right of the stairs, to far to the right and they’ll spawn Tunnel Right and even more they might spawn Cave. ( Also strongly influenced by your teammates position, ofcaurse. You’ll start understanding it naturally as you play more )
( BOTH MAPS ) If hes good and you just have that feeling of inevident defeat you start slowing down. Find a corner, i’m not telling you to camp just only to slow down. Try to get as much visibility over the map as you can without leaving yourself to exposed. Get a kill, stay for a couple of seconds then move on. If that has worked for 3+ times completely change strategy, start rushing or maybe running to the same place as you where before. Here are the class setups i recommend.. ( And yes, alot of people might consider these classes ” Gay ” but I’m trying to help you become better but not teaching you how to avoid your love for men.)
