A personal guide with best mods in my opinion. Feel free to give other mods on comment section.
How to install mods
Ok first of all, you need to know how to install the mods.
First step – Locate Your Stardew Valley Folder
C:Program Files (x86)SteamsteamappscommonStardew ValleyContent
This is mine location, you’re should be on same spot.
Now as you can see there is a couple folders, such as animals, buildings, characters etc…
And let’s say you will download the Pet Replacements Mod which replace your current animal for other. When you DL it you will get a file like this;
Now what you need to do is drag the dog.xnb towards the animals folder.
Always remember to backup the original files.
Where can i download my mods?
You can download your mods from this two websites;

Mod List
- TimeSpeed Mod[community.playstarbound.com]
Adjusts the game clock speed by a configurable amount. Speed up, slow down, or completely freeze time. Now includes all FreezeInside functionality–it is recommended not to run the two mods together.

- NPC Map Locations[community.playstarbound.com]
This mod will place NPC markers on the map (accessed through “M” key or the Map tab on the Game Menu) and show the locations of the villagers on the map page in real-time. It will only show the NPCs who have schedules and actually move around. Press the ‘TAB’ key to access the mod menu.
– This one is by far one my favorites ones!

- Kitty Scarecrow Replacements[stardewmods.com]
This changes the scarecrow and all 8 of the rarecrows in the game to be cats on different pedestals/cat climbing tower thingies. Its pretty darn cute. Who wouldn’t want ferocious guard kitties to keep the crows at bay?

- Easier fishing[community.playstarbound.com]
This mod makes fishing easier but doesn’t remove it so you can still enjoy the experience.
It makes the fish shoot up and down less frequently.
It makes the fish move smoother so you can easier track them.
This one is must have IMHO, fishing on Stardew Valley at least for me is pain in the ass, with this mod helps lot.
