A strange glitch that anyone can do.
Ultra Jump
I don’t know how to call this glitch and you may confuse it with the power up you get in game from beating one of the first bosses. But be assured, this is not a power up and rather an intresting glitch in the PC version of the game.
Starting playing BO2 was a little hard for me at first because of the controls, but after some time I quickly started to get the hang of them. I wouldn’t call myself a master of the game but I understood how it worked and knew what to do. Now we get to the point where I noticed this strange accurance. Basically I was jumping around to just “move faster” and because I’m using the mouse to look around I noticed that when I try to look left or right when jumping Kain moves from side to side. Knowing that I just though to myself “what if I moved my mouse really fast to one side” and so I did. At first it seemed as if it didn’t work but after few tries Kain launched instantly in to a wall with high speed. I though It was really funny and did some research but didn’t find any kind of infromation about it.
And here I’m writing this “tutorial” to document this strange and funny glitch.
How do I “Ultra Jump”?
It’s really simple what you need to do is just time your jump with the move of your mouse:
Jump -> Instantly move mouse to a side = Ultra Jump
(Don’t press anything else or it won’t work)
It might take few tries to do but it works I promise you, trial and error till it works.
Some things I noticed while doing the “Ultra Jump”
I – Ultra jump distance depends on how far and fast you move your mouse.
II – Ultra jump can help you skip some areas in the game easily.
III – The glich can me a major time save in some areas helping you go through the game faster, could be a speedrun strat.
IV – Using this glitch can help you get out of bounds or to areas where you shouldn’t be able normally get to.
In this screenshot I am standing on a bridge in the sarafan keep right after Markus Boss battle. It’s impossible to get there without using the “Ultra Jump”.
Also Kain has on his back the Sarafan knight sword which you can get by killing the one patrolling on it. Of course you don’t need to really kill him because he won’t Kill you on sight.
This location seems like doesn’t really have anything intresting expect for the fact that you can see a little bit inside of the keep because it has a fake wall on the left side.
