Overview
Since COD 4, SMG has become one of the top choice class in game for noobs and pros. SMG weapons are usually seen by players as fast fire, pretty good damage, fast moving killing machines. But since BO2 came out, SMGs are balanced to match up with other classes rather than be called OP like MP7 in MW3, but i believe that after seeing my guide, you will know whats the class or weapons you really want. Anyways, lets get started. First i will talk about the Pros and Cons about SMGs.Pro:1. Fast RPM, most of them got RPM more than 900.2. Fast moving speed, 100% speed when holding the weapon.3. Impresive CQ damage, all of them have a bullet damage of 30+, able to drop people in 3 or 4 shots.4. Comparefully faster ADS time.5. Good iron sights overall, dont need to waste a point for sightCons:1. Not very accurate as assaults.2. Damage drops pretty rapid.3. Poor long range damage, only 18, which means you need 6 bullets to kill a full health enemy.4. Sincei they have a high RPM, you can dry out ammo easily.After Talking about the general statics about SMG, lets going deeper to analyze each weapons.MP7: Damage: 33 (0-18m), 22 (19-26), 18 (27-)RPM: 937, 1200 (RF)Ammo&reload: 40 round, 1.6 sec (Normal), 3.2 sec (Empty)Review: MP7 is no longer like the beast in WM3, now it has got a moderate damage, some recoil, big magazines and impresive iron sight. 1.1X head shot means you can take down enemy in 3 shot in CQ. Overall its a good at every thing weapon, none is outstanding, none is bad.Recommand Attachment: Quickdraw, laser sight, long barrel, silenserPDW-57:Damage: 35 (0-10), 33 (11-20), 22 (21-30), 18 (31-)RPM: 750, 900 (RF)Ammo&reload: 50 rounds, 2 sec (Normal), 4 sec (Empty)Review: PDW is one great weapons for both new players and pro, it’s high magazine size makes player hardly to reload, which will save them in many situation. It’s 35 mas damage allow players got 3 shot kill with no head shot (good fore noobies), and with a headshot it’s 3 shot kill range is 20m (good for pro), it’s definetly a weapon you want to try.Recommand Attachment: Quickdraw, laser sight, long barrel, silenser, fast magVector: Damage: 33 (0-18m), 22 (19-26), 18 (27-)RPM: 937, 1200 (RF)Ammo&reload: 36 round, 1.45 sec (Normal), 2.9 sec (Empty)Review: Vector is almost identical to MP7 but with 4 less bullets and faster reload. However: it feels more accurate to shoot in hip (Personal opinion, dont spam). If you like to use MP7, you will enjoy this as well.Recommand Attachment: Quickdraw, laser sight, long barrel, silenserMSMC:Damage: 40 (0-14), 33 (15-28), 22 (29-38), 18 (39-)RPM: 750, 900 (RF)Ammo&reload: 30 round, 1.2 sec (Normal), 2.4 (Empty)Review: To me, MSMC is the best weapon in SMG in the hand of skills. Pros can kill enemy in 3 bullet up to 28m, and with a low recoil of this gun, it is a killing machine. But, due to the low RPM and small magazine, if you dont shoot accurately, you might not able to kill guy with your whole chamber. I reccomand players train their accurance before using this gun.Recomand attachment: Quickdraw, laser sight, long barrel, silenser, fast magChicom CQB:Damage: 33 (0-12), 22 (13-22), 18 (23-)RPM: 1250 (Burst)Ammo&reload: 36 round: 1.45 sec (Normal), 2.88 sec (Empty)Review: Chicom is the most different weapon in SMG class. It shoots in burst, which represent high accurance. Player can usually kill people in 2 brust or just 1. Personally, i dont enjoy this weapon much because it change my style of SMG, but i can tell that there are pro who are insane with this gun.Recommand attachment: Quickdraw, laser sight, long barrel, silenser, select fireSkorpion EVO:Damage: 33 (0-12), 22 (13-22), 18 (23-)RPM: 1250Ammo&reload: 32 roundL 1.28 sec (Normal), 2/55 sec (Empty)Review: This weapon can turn enemy infront into ash in a blink of an eye within 10m. But in long range this weapon shows some disadvantage. Also, because it only has 1x headshot, you cant kill enemy in 3 shot. In conclusion: This weapon is really aweseome in CQ, and if you can control it’s recoil, you will also rule the midium range fight.Recommandattachment: Quickdraw, laser sight, long barrel, silenser, foregripPerks is also very important for a class, it can change your play style from rusher to defender, and many perks aren’t very good for SMG, and it’s why i will talk about perk choice here. perk 1: Light weight (Good for PTFO, make you able to run faster, make it easiler to flank your enemies) Ghost: (Enemy’s UAV and OV can’t detect you in radar if you are moving, if you camp, it is useless) Hardline (If you want to get a high scorestreak, it’s your choice) Flak jacket (if you PTFO, you will usually expecy claymore or betty, if you didn’t prone fast, it will save your life. and if you defend flags, you will also live longer as enemies’s frag come) perk 2: Scavenger (If you can kill lot’s of enemies without dying, you should use this perk) Cold blood (Enemy may think you are their teammates) Thoughness (My most common use perk, when you are facing an enemy, keep accurate will help you) perk 3: Dexterity (Good to fix up with lightweight, you can recover faster) Engineer (Allow you to see enemy equipment and delays explosive, this helps a lot when rushing through conners) Extreme condition (Help you rush longer) Tactical mask (when holding an objective if helps to withstand enemy’s tactical weapon)Hope you enjoy my post and learn something from it, thanks for reading, my ID is Negative EagIe, see you next time
