Overview
“How to Make New Alien Friends and Influence Diplomacy” or “How I learned to stop worrying and ride the worm”
Squadala, We’re off!
DISCLAIMER:
“Ten Turns” is just to be silly, since the second AI race won’t even be on the map by turn ten.
This guide is to raise awareness of how pointlessly broken a lot of the Rising Tide additions are, but you can easily win games quick by taming worms early.
Requires: Lush Biome and about fifteen minutes of your time.
Fixed on Halloween.
The Lush Marvel quest now requires the player to biopsy 5 alien remains (up from 3).
Step 1
Move your early explorers around your immediate start area until you find the Monstrous Alien Remains. They are almost always nearby your original drop location.
Step 2:
After collecting all three nearby Remains with any unit you want, leash the worm it spawns like eight turns in to scare you.
Step 3:
Flatten every civ as they make planetfall and hear the lamentations of the women.
You should have your first completely effortless win and the Shai-Hulud-Lebeouf achievement.
A “Worm Farm”
Keeping your leashed wonderworm near alien camps will provide an endless stream of science, culture and cash if you don’t feel like crushing the AI or multiplayer opponents instantly.
There is no possible way to stop you if you do this early enough, and using the talents mentioned earlier you will not only be trippling your science every time you click on something, you’ll be expanding your territory with culture and diving deep into the talent trees before anyone even finds you.
SOURCES
Marvels have been introduced to Beyond Earth in the Rising Tide expansion pack. Unless the player specifically chooses to disable them, every Rising Tide map will have at least one marvel.
