ButterFlys and Beeboxes

Overview

This guide will hopefully show you a interesting way to get alot of butterflys in your base and how beeboxes are very useful in your world. I will also show how butterflys are very very effective and useful to have near you.

ButterFlies

ButteFlys are very useful in numerous ways. For one thing, there wings give you 8 health back and they almost always drop from butterflys (98 percent chance). They also have a rare chance of spawning butter which can be used in a crock pot (2 percent chance). Butterflys live by and stay by flowers. Flowers are very good to have near your base because of the butterflys. With butterflys, you wont need to worry about going out to fight spiders just to get there glands to heal you. Also butterflys are very easy to kill as they usually fly down onto a flower and are too slow to get up and fly away from you. Also butterflys never go away, they respawn when there are flowers around.
It is good to have alot of flowers around your base because the more flowers… the more butterflys :). Butterflys are passive mobs they do not attack, only run away. They take one hit by any weapon to kill them. If using a Ice staff, it only takes one blast to freeze them into ice. At night, butterflys will return to a flower to hide in them until day comes again. Butterflys (when caught) stack up to 20 just like logs. You can catch a butterfly using a bug net because the butterfly is an insect like a bee or firefly. Very frequently if you walk by a flower a butterfly will spawn there.

Bee Boxes

Bee Boxes are used to breed bees and to get there honey. They are very very useful to have as it provides food for you. It might not give you as much food points back as other things such as meat and such but it is still very useful to have. It is good to have multiple amounts of bee boxes because the more honey you have, the better. The bee box can produce over 6 honey at once. There are 4 phases that the bee box goes through and they look like this.
The more flowers that you have around the bee box will decrease the time it takes to get the honey. Be careful when you try to go up and harvest a bee box because the bees will attack you when you do. I recommend using a BeeKeeper Hat because it protects you against there attacks like a logsuit would.

After you have a bee box you should place alot of flowers around them. To be able to place flowers you can catch butterflys with a bug net and place them down as flowers. Bees go to the bee box at night and at morning they go out and continue getting honey. The beeboxes produce bees, 4 per box. They go out automatically and get honey from the flowers that you placed and bring it back to the bee box, which will eventually turn into honey.
