Overview
A simple guide to the cutest non-kill you creatures in Don’t Starve and how you won’t regret making your base near them. This is my first guide and really only works on ROG.

Well these little cuties are what you want to grow old and have a hundredzillon of alright TO THE STATS:
Catcoon
Heath: 150
Damage: 25
Loot:
1 meat and 33% chance of a cattail
BUT WHY WOULD YOU KILL THESE LITTLE THINGS?
Catcoons are neutral mobs in Don’t Starve Reign of Giants DLC that only appear in the decidous tree turf which is a orangish turf that has many birchnut trees. They spawn from Hollow Stumps that are non-renewable and because cats have 9 lives they will only respawn 9 times from their Stump. They drop cattails which are good for making a catcap in colder seasons. Catcoons can be befriended but non-befriended catcoons will attack befriended catcoons. Befriended catcoons will barf up gifts much like hairballs every once and awhile then become Un-befriendedideded or something… They can be befriended with multiple items such as Butterfly Wings to Petals and mostly everything they will take themselves without you giving it. Catcoonsssssssssss.
Farming
Catcoons will attack most small animals here’s a quick list:
Bee (killer and regular), butterfly, fireflies, moleworms, rabbits, all variations of birds, Smallbirds, Pengulls, Glommer, and Hounds.
Currently there is a mod that lets you create Hollow Stumps and another that let’s catcoons respawn forever. These mods will help in mass producing but are not required for some farming.
BUTTERRRRRR:
Pen up a catcoon with some flowers and check the catcoon every once and awhile and soon your catcoon will kill enough butterflies to produce BUTTER MAJESTIC BUTTER and not risk Krampus for the wimps out there (like me). More pens the better and the more catcoons and flowers the faster to produce BUTTERFUL BUTTERY BUTTER!
Crazy Cat Lady
Be a female (males are ok too but still) and make Hollow Stumps and be like webber but with a catcoon army GET DEM CATCOONS IN THERE by the way NEVER BE WEBBER AND MESS AROUND WITH CATCOONS THEY WILL TRY TO SCRATCH YOUR MONSTEROUS FACE OFF just a warning. As they naturally attack hounds and most monsters like pigs but they don’t have a “phase” or “mating season” and are good all year round. Befriending them can also mass produce food and seeds as seeds are a high probability of being coughed up so you can keep your glorious stomach of beauty up and running so you can have a happy day. Also when your catcoons vomit gifts PICK THEM UP LIKE A STREAK OF LIGHTNING cause your catcoon is a little thief and likes to take his gifts back, you have been warned. Its not a good idea to have a glommer friend and catcoon friend for… um… reasons ^-^.

I know this guide is crap and you can pretty much get all this and more on the wiki but I was bored and fed up of not being able to post a guide cause it takes me 5 years but yep… Anyways this is mostly for people who don’t know and want some info about catcoons and I know this whole guide IS REALLY UNORGINIZED AND MY GRAMMER SUCKS JUST LIVE WITH IT. I just love catcoons and was VERY VERY BORED I know more about catcoons I haven’t put up but I knew I would’ve taken forever and it would end up never getting published so I hope you guys learned like… nothing or er… I don’t know just give this thing a good rating cause it CAN HELP SOMEBODY but yeh….
