This illustrated guide will tell you how to unlock every costume and item in the game!
Introduction
There are many different costumes and items to unlock in Space Channel 5: Part 2, and in this guide, I’ll be going through each and every one. It’s fun to play through reports again in your favourite outfits or riduculous character costumes, so let’s begin!
Costumes
Throughout the game, you will unlock various costumes that can change Ulala’s appearance. You can change into them from the Changing Room in the Main Menu, or between Reports. You can only change your costume after having beaten a Report at least once.
Newly-suppied company reporting fatigues. Ultra elastic material for easy movements.
Unlocked from the start.
Aromantic multi-functional suit. Regulates body temperature & humidity for extra pleasant reporting at all time.
Clear Report 2.
Designed to protect the human body from space dust when travelling at high speeds.
Clear Report 3.
Must-have for any space-roaming citizen. The helmet can usually be stored in the back.
Clear Report 4.
Designed for infiltration. A special wire that attaches to the back & allows the wearer to move like a spider.
Clear Report 5.
The suit Ulala used during the Morolian incident. It was in her closet.
Clear Report 6.
Got thoroughly dirtied when Ulala was attacked. A collector’s gem!
Clear Report 6 in World 2.
A super costume that is an amalgamation of dance energy. Rumored to be just underwear.

An altered version of a uniform from School M.
Clear 24 consecutive trials in Ulala’s Dance Mode.
Used for the undercover investigation of the Shanghai restaurant.
Clear 100 consecutive trials in Ulala’s Dance Mode.
Ulala wore this at a previous part-time job.
Clear Report 1 with rating of 100%.
Play over 3 hours of game time.
A Pudding costume.
Clear Report 2 with ratings of 100%.
A Pine costume.
Clear Report 3 with ratings of 100%.
Clear 34 consecutive trials in Ulala’s Dance Mode while wearing the Morolian Suit.
A Space Michael costume.
Clear Report 4 with ratings of 100%.
A Jaguar costume.
Clear Report 5 with ratings of 100%.
A President Peace costume used to create a decoy. Second hand goods.
Clear Report 2 in World 2.
A Noize costume. It has a secret function that makes the wearer appear smaller.
Clear Report 3.
This suit is in fact just body paint and color contacts.
Clear Report 4 in World 2.
A mysterious suit designed to confuse enemies with little purple disco-mirrors.
Clear Report 6 in World 2.
Used when they sneaked into the tour.
Save the Neo-Japanese Astronauts in Report 1.
Slip into it when you want to be wimpy.
Save Mr. Nervous in Report 2.
Used in the kitchen investigation.
Save the Chef (green) in Report 1 in World 2.
Used for the investigation of underground cramming school.
Save the Space Primary School Band Quarter in Report 2.
For when you want that manly feeling.
Save the Space Rescue Squad in Report 4.
Used for the undercover infiltration into the Geriatric Bandits Hideout.
Save Space Granny in Report 1.
Former station chief’s costume. The Cheat command is printed inside the clothes.
Play the game for 3 or more hours.
A risque suit if ever we’ve seen one. You may as well be a pin up!
Amass over 6 hours of game time.
Clear 7 consecutive trials in Ulala’s Dance Mode while wearing the Morolian suit.
Clear 14 consecutive trials in Ulala’s Dance Mode while wearing the Morolian suit.
Something will happen if you play Ulala’s Dance Mode while wearing this suit.
Clear Report 6.
Boss Morolian (Hoorg) suit.
Clear All Reports (1-6) with ratings of 100%.
Used to infiltrate Channel 88 Studios to report on the scandal that occured there.
Clear Report 3 in World 2.
Clear all 100 trials in Ulala’s Dance Mode wearing the Morolian suit.
A sample received from the shop owner. Ulala made some improvements to it herself.
Clear Report 1 in 2-Players Mode.
Used to infiltrade the evil Crimson Cosmos ginger processing plant.
Clear Report 2 in 2-Players Mode.
Used to infiltrade the leather sweat shop. Was made in a rush, and so the colors fade easily.
Amass over 10 hours of play time
Ulala’s personal wear for shopping dates.
Clear 53 consecutive trials in 2-Players Ulala’s Dance Mode.
Not really a suit — just a tan!

Items
You can unlock a number of items to replace Ulala’s Mic during the game. Unlike costumes, you gain these by meeting a character in the story, then checking their profile in the Character profile section. Some characters won’t give you an item unless you visit another characters profile.
Newly procured company mic. Ulala painted it blue without even asking.
Available from the start of the game.
Present from the Chef (green). Proves his victory in the 225th Annual Space Cook-off. Has a high heat conductivity radio.
Unlocked by checking Chef (green)’s profile page (031). He can be rescued in Report 1 (World 2.)
Designed by Noize. Was first designed for the undercover investigation of the shopping mall (comes with hidden camera).
Unlocked by checking Noize’s profile (012). It’s available after teaming up with him in Report 3.
Present from the Chef (aqua). Made from metal extracted from some ancient ruins. Great for whipping homemade cream!
Unlocked by checking Chef (aqua)’s profile (032). He can be rescued in Report 1 (World 2.)
Present from the Band Students. A bit sticky. (Pre-licked)
Unlocked by checking Band Students profiles (040-043). They can all be rescued in Report 2.
Given by a Neo-Japanese Astronaut. A souvenir from Edo village in Sunlight City. An effective light made from natural rice paper.
Unlocked by checking the Neo-Japanese Astronauts profiles (024-028). They can all be rescued in Report 1.
Present from the Chef (yellow). Cookware with a hardness of over 8 billion die. Only two others exist in the entire galaxy.
Unlocked by checking Chef (yellow)’s profile (033). He can be resdued in Report 1 (World 2.)
Present From the Rescue Squad. Perfect for Milky Way Ginger Ales. Inculdes a semi-natural cooling device.
Unlocked by checking the Rescue Squad’s profiles (052-053). They can all be rescued in Report 4.
Present from Class President Nervous. President Nervous’ Mum’s favorite fan. It creates a peasent scent when you wave it.
Unlocked by checking Mr. Nervous’ profile (044). He can be rescued in Report 2.
Present from Jaguar. Laced with Jaguar’s passion, this rose will never die.
Unlocked by checking Jaguar’s profile (009). He can be rescued in Report 5.
Designed by Noize. Mic used in the undercover report on the mega farm. It was used to lower the guard of opponents.
Unlocked by checking Noize’s profile (012). It’s available after teaming up with him in Report 3.
Present from Pine. All-natural and picked from an actual garden. Absolute ambrosia when cooked properly.
Unlocked by checking Pine’s profile (003). She can be defeated in Report 3.
Conclusion
In conclusion, that’s how you unlock every costume and item in the game! It can be quite difficult to unlock a few of them, especially the ones from Ulala’s Dance Mode and 100%’ing a report, but if you stick at it, it’s worth the effort.
