Overview
A guide about creating Charm Builds and combos. This guide will show you how to create a Charm Build so you can share your loadouts with the Hollow Knight community, Discord servers, Subreddit, etc.I have created an awesome program/game for the sole purpose of creating Builds. It is a replica of Hollow Knight’s Charm Menu, with all unlocked Charms and a useful list of interactions on the website.It is hosted by Scratch, a coding program created by MIT University.To create your own Build, go to https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/418977061/Disclaimer: This guide does not list all charm interactions or info about charms.
Charm Builds
To start off, you should go to the Charm Build Creator game hosted by Scratch.

To start, press the green flag icon. Fullscreen is in the top-right. The game should look like this.
To make a Charm Build, simply click on the charms you wish to add. They will automatically fly up to the Charm Bar and equip themselves, as well as count the amount of notches used.
Hovering over a Charm will display its cost, name, description, and other charms that work well with it in the bottom right corner.
Equipping a charm that costs more notches than what you have available will result in being “Overcharmed” like in game. This has no effect on the website, it’s just useful information.
When you’re finished with your Build you can simply right-click on the game and save the image. (Alternatively you can screenshot.) It will download, and you’ll be ready to upload it to the Steam community, Hollow Knight Subreddit, Discord servers, Imgur, and anywhere else!
Remember to give it a cool name like “Warlock” or “Samurai”, and a description of how the Build is meant to be played. Do you use temporary Lifeblood health to take a lot of damage, and focus your SOUL on casting spells instead of healing?

Example Builds
Here is a list of examples:
Meant for making Geo and exploring new areas. The build prioritizes movement and speed.
Focuses on both taking and dealing a lot of damage. Carefree Melody works well with Stalwart Shell and Thorns of Agony so you can take no damage and gain invulnerability so you can keep on hitting.
This Build makes healing an attack! When you’re hit, Stalwart Shell will give you enough time to heal with Quick Focus. You will be protected by Baldur Shell, and can move with Shape of Unn like a tank. When you’re done healing, you will emit a toxic spore cloud that damages enemies.
Your Quick Slash will make gaining SOUL easy, and is powered up with Shaman Stone and Spell Twister. Soul Catcher and Soul Eater will grant you an enormous amount of SOUL quickly.
The list of interactions in the bottom-right corner will always provide other examples that you can combo, making it easy to play the strengths of the Charms.
