Overview
I noticed that many people have trouble keeping track of which maps the lambda caches are in, so I decided to make a simple guide that shows which maps contain the lambda caches and how many each map contain. This guide is meant to be used as a checklist, and it may be helpful to use the guide alongside more detailed guides.
Overview
Lambda caches are hidden locations in Half-Life 2 that players can find for the achievement Lambda Locator. Although most of the maps in Half-Life 2 contain one cache, a few others contain more than one cache. Some maps, however, contain none at all. This guide shows the names of the maps that contain one or more caches.
When the player is finished finding all the lambda caches in a map, the player can skip to another map to save time. The console command to change the map is “map” “map name”. (This command does not require cheats.) To see a list of maps, type “maps *”. When using the console, the player should note that the screen shows the name of the map in the upper right corner.
The player also does not have to play the maps in sequential order because the achievement progress for Lambda Locator still saves if the player goes back and forth from different levels in Half-Life 2. Keep in mind that the guide is not meant to be comprehensive because there already more detailed guides that have directions and screenshots. I just wanted to document the number of caches in each map and chapter.

Completion
If the player does this right, the player should have found a total of 45 caches and thus complete the achievement. Hopefully, this checklist may be useful for somebody.
