In this guide we’ll show you some useful tips and glitches which we discovered through whole game.
Introduction
Hi, as we just completed the whole game and got 100% of achievements (as shown below) we want to share with some useful tips and glitches which can help finish the game more easily.
Probably, you visited this guide bacause you have additional gamepad allowing other player to join your game. Let’s notice that co-op starts after your first meeting with Calaca, when you turn Agave Boy Juan into JUAN, THE LUCHADOR.
We splited our tips into 3 sections: for Normal Mode, for Hard Mode, and universal tips which are useful in both of modes.
So, let’s start with our guide! Enjoy!
Normal Mode
As you unlock the coop mode you can follow these rules:
General tips:
- When you move around, when there is no monsters/arenas second player can disconnect.The player with more dexterity should take the control for easier solving riddles. When two players are in play and they are jumping/moving the screen moves and it’s harder to spot your character.
- If you consider to complete Hard Mode after completing Normal Mode – try to unlock all costumes. They’ll remain unlocked even after switching to Hard Mode.
Hard Mode!
Hard mode isn’t very hard if you follow these simple rules and tips:
Preparation for Hard Mode
- If you want to complete game in 100% do it before you start Hard Mode. Unlock every achievement on Normal Mode. It’s easier. MORE easier.
- Every costume which you unlock in Normal Mode is automatically unlocked in Hard Mode. Mostly we used Alebrije (which you can unlock via Inferno Challenges), Pollo Luchador and Skeleton Luchador (for easier movement between platforms).
- In additon – Hard Mode is simple when you completed the game. You know where is everything and you just don’t waste your time roaming and looking for quests and etc.
Tips for combat
- Dodge, dodge and dodge! Abillity to dodge is most useful. Enemies hit VERY hard on this mode. For example – Skeletons has 1-2 hits to take down Alebrije. And remember – DODGE!
- IMPORTANT RULE – one player (this one which has more dexterity to dodge attacks) plays with Alebrije and other player plays with Pollo Luchador. We know – it’s a shame to play with Pollo Luchador, but his skill to heal over time is useful when you wait for other player to respawn.
- ARENA TIP – when you have problem with breaking shields or just to overwhelm with attacks, the player who plays as Pollo just have to turn into Skeleton Luchador. He has infinity level of stamina, thus it allows him to use special attack shuch as Dashing Derpderp, Goat Fly or Olmec Headbutt. It’s very useful to knock down enemies while the Alebrije takes them down.

Universal tips
In this section you can read tips which are universal – they can be used in Normal and Hard mode (mostly on Hard).
Some of these were stated above, but you should read them once again.
Tips for combat
- Dodge, dodge and dodge! Abillity to dodge is most useful (but you cannot dodge the fire attack such as rolling/jumping attack of Armadillo). And remember – DODGE!
- GLITCH (or tip) – when you have low HP bar just “disconnect” via clicking 2xRB on XBox controller or 2xT on keyboard. Then you “connect”, turns yourself into floating bubble and the other player pops you. VOILA! You have full HP bar!
- ARENA TIP – when you have problem with breaking shields or just to overwhelm with attacks,one player just have to turn into Skeleton Luchador. He has infinity level of stamina, thus it allows him to use special attack shuch as Dashing Derpderp, Goat Fly or Olmec Headbutt. It’s very useful to knock down enemies while the second player takes them down.
- When you grab an enemy while there is enemy in other dimension, simply swap dimensions and throw the load into him.
