Overview

EnglishSpaceflight and space warfare in 21st century is not easy. Here’s a (semi-)complete guide for getting gold in default campaign in CoaDE. To get this achievement, you might need to know extremely deep on orbital and game mechanics, some improvization, and bits of luck. Spacefilght experience in Kerbal Space Program (KSP) is recommended. Some knowledge in physics is a bonus, not required (I’ve got gold with default fleet in mission 14, 15, 16 and 18). First things first: YOU CAN’T get shortest time and minimized delta-v during a single run, it’s a trade-off or a balance between these.

Here’s my attempt to getting gold in some difficult missions. These missions include: missions can’t use your own ship (mission 1-10 and mission 17), missions with hard-to-reach objectives (such as minimum delta-v or keeping enemy’s modules as much as possible). 首先要强调一点:不能在一次任务中同时达成最短时间和最少delta-v的目标,可以在两次不同的尝试中分开达成。

Preface/前言

The project is inspired by Mike Aben’s CoaDE gold campaign videos, but he seems abandoned it.

The last update of CoaDE is on Jul.2, 2018. CoaDE is solely made by Zane Mankowski (aka QSwitched) but it seems abandoned. Hopefully there’s some active player and modding community, which make it not so boring. Steam Workshop is also implemented in CoaDE.

If someone find the game is laggy, try this MOD AI to make it not so spammy. This mod don’t modify campaign difficulty.

游戏上一次更新于2018年7月2日,这个游戏由Zane Mankowski (aka QSwitched) 独立打造,但是作者弃坑了。还好这个游戏有一个还算活跃的玩家社区群体和Steam创意工坊,能让这个社群没那么无聊。

如果有人觉得游戏很卡的话,试一下这个AI MOD, 它能让游戏变得不那么卡,也不会改变战役模式的难度。

On “Vesta Overkill”

For Vesta Overkill, pick up some ships made by AtomHeartDragon in its Dragon Claw Armaments [Core] Catalog:

These ships are made of core modules and stock materials, you don’t need to care about this. I personally recommend Valravn-E Corvette.

You can build your own ships with stock modules. Someone might unlocked module design in Infolink, but the game won’t make you to use the ships with player-designed modules in campaign.

According to AtomHeartDragon, the mission is more likely an exam to see if you’ve learned enough for Module Design.

On “The Surface of Giants”

After unlocking module design by completing Vesta Overkill, someone might think the mission is easy. But it also serves an exam to see if you have enough knowledge and understanding of orbital mechanics. Most of players are stuck here for a long time.

AtomHeartDragon have a guide on how to beat it with stock modules, if you’re stuck in this mission, just read it and try it.

Or you can build some OP modules and ships to complete it. Here’s some examples:

  • Drones or missile which has more than 10 km/s of delta-v
  • Laser or Railguns with a range of >1000km
  • Fusion-powered ships/missiles/drones (Community Future Material Pack required!)

Unlocking Achievements

Reach specified objects to unlock achievements.

  • Fresh Recruit: Complete your first mission: Distress Call at Luna.
  • Battle Tested: Complete your first battle mission: False Flag.
  • Surgical Striker: Complete “Interamnian Incident”, the 7th mission.
  • Warfare Technician: Complete “Retaking Ceres”, the 8th mission.
  • Battle Engineer: Complete “Vesta Overkill”, the 13th mission.
  • Lone Wolf: Complete “Jovian Lunar Tour”, the 17th mission.
  • Bronze: Just beat the game.
  • Silver: Beat the game with Silver on all levels.
  • Gold: Beat the game with Gold on all levels.

至于血战灶神星,在 AtomHeartDragon 用原版模块和材料设计的 Dragon Claw Armaments [Core] Catalog 舰队中选几艘船,肝几下就过了。我个人推荐这艘船: Valravn-E Corvette.

按 AtomHeartDragon 的说法,这个任务更像是一次考试,它可以用来检验你是否有足够的知识和能力,理解模块设计中的内容。

解锁模块设计之后,有些人会觉得这个任务很简单,你们呐,太年轻了。这还是一次检验你轨道力学知识的考试。很多人都在这里卡了很久。

你还可以捏一些逆天的模块和舰船,并用他们完成任务。示例如下:

  • Delta-v 超过 10 km/s 的无人机或导弹

完成成就对应的目标,解锁成就。

  • 新兵报到(Fresh Recruit):完成第一个任务“在月球的呼救信号”
  • 初出茅庐(Battle Tested):完成第二个任务“伪旗行为”
  • 精准打击(Surgical Striker):完成第七个任务“小行星704事变”
  • 战争技师(Warfare Technician):完成第八个任务“夺回谷神星”
  • 战斗工程师(Battle Engineer):完成第十三个任务“血战灶神星”
  • 亡星孤狼(Lone Wolf):完成倒数第二个任务“木星卫星系之旅”
  • 铜牌(Bronze):通关即可
  • 银牌(Silver):所有任务中都获得银牌。
  • 金牌(Gold):所有任务中都获得金牌。
