Compressor Machine (Storing Gases)

Overview

This is a machine i like to use to store gases without reservoirs. You can store big amounts of gases by compressing them in a small room. The gas reservoir can store 150kg of gases, this machine allows you to store up this capacity in just one single tile.

Building

The gas you want to store enters the left side of the machine and can be released by the pumps on the right. You can use your own automation to control de pumps and the gas vent. (High pressure gas vent recommended). You can make the rooms bigger to add automations, doors, etc.

If you want to store one type of gas this machine works very well, but when mixed gases are inserted in the machine the efficiency is affected and some gases can get deleted.

Automation and Power Line

AUTOMATION
You can use my predefinitions for the gates or make some test by yourself. The preset i offer is an optimal cicuit that i came up after some tests.

You can add this “AND gate” with a sensor or switch to stop the machine when there is small amounts of gas in the left room.

POWER LINES
If you want you can power the first 2 doors to make it faster, but it works fine without electricity. The third door cannot be connected to power, the slow opening and closing doesn’t allow the gas to come back or get deleted.

THIS IS A TEST MACHINE, IF YOU HAVE MANY MODS ENABLE IT MAY CRASH YOUR GAME.
